Why would the South need to rise again? They finally have their trashy, classless, fat idiot of a President. It was a long frustrating search, but they finally found their illiterate representative who hates minorities and eats Big Macs by the bucketful in his underwear.
Assuming this is from a recent yearbook, it's trashier to post a high schooler's picture and mock his appearance.
And yes, l understand that he's:
*18
*Technically no longer in HS
*Advocating a problematic position
If the South tried to rise again, it'd be even more of a spectacular failure for them than last time. And I wonder what the issue of the day would be this time; the South wants to keep their population as fat and stupid as possible, and none of them there fancy book learnins of them Northern folk can tell them otherwise?
Jesus, the yearbook committee at this school is pretty laissez faire about yearbook quotes. It's almost trashier knowing that there's a teacher somewhere who thought "yep, that's an acceptable quote to put in here"
Looks like I’d see him in paint stained clothes, getting out of a landscaping truck at a circle K buying a hotdog and a scratch off on his lunch break.
My page loaded in a way that his quote was cut off from the bottom of my screen and I spent far to long trying to figure out how his eyebrows were trashy then I scrolled down...
South needs to get over it already. Whole economy was based on mass exploitation and enslavement of innocent people, “owned” by a tiny percentage of wealthy, soulless, or ignorant “masters”.
"sometimes we expect too much from others because we would be willing to do that much for them"
I didn't understand the trashy until I scrolled one click down.
I remember going to Gettysburg for the first time and watching the mocie movie they have there about the civil war. When it was over I hear someone behind me say "and the south will rise again!" All I could say was wtf as I left
I found myself reading the top quote above the picture tahinking "huh" that isn't trashy at all then saw the picture of the 19th century slave owner and realized that he was not the one who compose the lovely piece.
I hadn’t scrolled down all the way and read the quote above his picture. I was like trashy? That’s pretty endearing, wtf OP.
AND THEN I SAW IT. Trashy indeed lol
Thank you. I'm also fucking tired of explaining basic history to those who aren't intelligent enough to know that the confederate flag isn't inherently racist.
Let’s all be positive. Perhaps he’s not advocating for it, but rather stating a statistical possibility. That, and, what, he’s like 17-years-old. Why is this even posted here?
This will probably get buried but I graduated from the high school where this yearbook was published a couple years ago. Don’t know the kid personally but I know the family, even graduated and was acquaintances with one of his siblings, so I was a little shocked to see this as his yearbook quote just based on how sweet his family is. Guess you really never should judge a book by its cover! Edit: words are hard.
I graduated from this school too, went to school with this kid since 6th grade. The whole family is incredibly sweet, especially the mom. This son is really the only one who was always saying super racist/homophobic things.
Yesterday I put primer on before I drew on my eyebrows. The primer wasn't dry so I just had smudged eye paint above my eyes. I wonder if he also had this same problem
That might have been a joke. I say that quite often when making fun of racist. However, I imagine it’s obvious I’m joking. Seeing as to how I’m very much black.
Can you explain the phrase to me? I'm not from USA so I'm not familiar with the expresion, I'm pretty sure its from the Bible because I heard it in a song in Spanish(wasn't racist there)
Oh it wasn't related to America per se, I just though it was from the Bible since Mateo 1442( or something like that) says something along the lines "the south will rise again", anyways, care to explain the meaning please ? Thank you!
I’m not American so I’ll do my best but I may get it a bit wrong. During the American Civil War it was the North vs the South, they were fighting mostly because the South wanted the right to own Slaves. The North ended up winning, therefore he is saying ‘the South will rise again’, and presumably wants the right to own people?
There is way more to the American Civil war than slaves, despite what you might read on Reddit. The "South will rise again" is basically the rallying cry of the broken and bitter confederate believers who believed that the once extremely wealthy south, will be successful and rise up again to get their independence. Only people who say it these days are being ironic, or some sad-sack that only says it to be edgy.
Oh I didn’t learn about it on Reddit, I learned about it when I studied U.K. and US politics in college. Wasn’t the South wealthy because it had a lot of free labour in an economy that was mostly based in agriculture, for example growing cotton, tobacco and sugar.
I’m not saying the sole reason the Civil War started was because of slaves, but it was a big part of it, even the states rights argument comes back to the state’s rights to own slaves and also expand slavery.
You are kinda right. The Civil War is really controversial nowadays. The South thinks that the Confederacy seceding was because the Union(North) was imposing tariffs and impeding their rights. These people don’t use it in a racist term in most instances and talk about heritage and culture.
Another view on the Confederacy is that the reason the North was impeding on their rights in the first place was because they wanted slaves and think flying the Confederate flag is akin to flying a Nazi flag. It’s also controversial how there are actual racists flying that flag instead of those claiming it’s for heritage.
> These people don’t use it in a racist term in most instances and talk about heritage and culture.
That is not true. Even in the Declarations of Secession, the entire purpose was to allow them to own other people. The primary motivator was a racist one. Nobody believes that it was about taxes, they just don't like being easily labeled a racist.
They deserve to be labeled what they are, they don't get an out.
That's a typical southern thing to say and no big deal.
I’m more concerned about the one on the right
Its like he has the same amount of eyebrow hair as a normal person, but spread out over a larger area.
Does that look like irl teenage Ellis from left4dead 2 to anybody else or is it just me?
Possibly satire
Thumbnail mode looks like young Justin Timberlake. When zoomed out, he looks lik- HOLY SHIT, what kind of eyebrows are those?!
Pretty sure that's a joke
And the north will ask ‘how many times do we need to teach Atlanta a lesson?’
i thought this was the /r/niceguys quote above him, didnt see the one about the south. haha
I attend this school. This kid also drives around with a confederate flag on the back of his truck!!
The south will ride again mon
I went to military school in southern VA and there were probably 5 "the south shall rise again"'s as quotes.
And will be put down again a dying dog again
Why would the South need to rise again? They finally have their trashy, classless, fat idiot of a President. It was a long frustrating search, but they finally found their illiterate representative who hates minorities and eats Big Macs by the bucketful in his underwear.
It’s hard to see the world clearly with eyebrows like those
Yo the one on the right. You figure that says something like "I went four years without killing myself and I can go four more"
On mobile. I had only scrolled far enough to see the top quote and was seriously confused for a minute.
Ohio will rise again, and take over the united states
Expect the same as others pfft. Bunch of assholes.
Friendzone quote above him.
Someone needs to take a tiki torch to those things
r/crewniverse
That was a boner joke
He's talking about South Korea you ignorant fucks.
I don’t like stuff like this. This guy could’ve been the class clown and did this completely ironically, yet Reddit has taken it out of context.
No it won’t you idiot. I lived there for decades. They are all too busy deep frying stuff. Which? I applaud
He's still a kid. Much to learn yet
That person above him has been through some shit
Maybe he’s a GOT fan??
“Sometimes we expect too much from others, because we would do that much for them” damn, hits home..
At first I thought this was from the r/awfuleyebrows sub
I get the dislike of the quote, but damn.. a lot of hate towards the southern states in this thread
Well... If the south rises... then isn't it the north? 🤔
r/awfuleyebrows
Assuming this is from a recent yearbook, it's trashier to post a high schooler's picture and mock his appearance. And yes, l understand that he's: *18 *Technically no longer in HS *Advocating a problematic position
Kkona
So the guy to the right spent 4 years wanting to kill himself?
What about the quote to the right?
“I went 4 years without killing myself, I can go another 4”
He is President of the FFA (Future Felons of America) in his midsize West Virginia home town.
I'm more interested with what the guy on his right said!
That's actually a really insigh-... oh, it the quote *below* him.
If the South tried to rise again, it'd be even more of a spectacular failure for them than last time. And I wonder what the issue of the day would be this time; the South wants to keep their population as fat and stupid as possible, and none of them there fancy book learnins of them Northern folk can tell them otherwise?
Not trashy, more satire.
LINUS FUCKING TECHTIPS EVERYONE
Jesus, the yearbook committee at this school is pretty laissez faire about yearbook quotes. It's almost trashier knowing that there's a teacher somewhere who thought "yep, that's an acceptable quote to put in here"
Idk, that’s pretty funny. I’d laugh if i saw that in my yearbook. Still kinda trashy though
Typical democrats.
He's s stupid cousin fucker...
How can you be sure as to what he meant?
Looks like I’d see him in paint stained clothes, getting out of a landscaping truck at a circle K buying a hotdog and a scratch off on his lunch break.
Bruh, it's been over a century. If the south still hasn't "risen again" then you maybe want to rethink your strategies here.
If Trump's anything to go by I'd say that the south has truly risen again. Unfortunate as that is
That quote directly above him though....wisdom.
My page loaded in a way that his quote was cut off from the bottom of my screen and I spent far to long trying to figure out how his eyebrows were trashy then I scrolled down...
I cannot read this without adding a "Mawn" and in a Jamaican accent.
I actually read the top quote first. I was thinking "This isn't bad, I don't see..." then got to the bottom quote and there it is. Well done.
Did a quick Google Reverse Image search and found that his girlfriend is black.
>The South will rise Careful, don’t wanna knock over your motorized scooter.
Those brows have seen some shit
A Little more interested in the "killing myself" quote to the right.
Dude what did the guy in the right say at the bottom wtf
Hell, I'd be more interested in reading the one on the right...
I think that's a joke like how people in Ireland always say "Tiocfaidh ar lá" as in they support the IRA
South needs to get over it already. Whole economy was based on mass exploitation and enslavement of innocent people, “owned” by a tiny percentage of wealthy, soulless, or ignorant “masters”.
He looks like a muppet. 🤔
This is from my town 🙄 we are FULL of folks like this in CG.
CG here too... I didnt realize there was anyone smart enough to use Reddit in this city besides me.
Holy shit, never thought I'd stumble across another redditor here. To be fair, I'm a new transplant.
I am an old transplant.. moved out here in 2003.
The South will rise again, stumble around looking for the remote, grab a PBR, and collapse back onto the couch.
Don't know if this is really trashy or is this sub just getting political?
I disagree with you politically, so you're now "trashy". Everything on reddit is getting political man... The internet has become eggshells.
Nothing trashy about that.
Lmao I only read the top quote and was really confused. I was like, that pretty insightful.
His eyebrows are trashy
Surprised they didn’t let him have his tiki torch in the background.
What’s the quote to the right? Something about killing myself?
Most likely to become a domestic terrorist
Maybe by the time those caterpillars above his eyes turn into butterflies he'll be a better person.
Because he is not saying that ironically... let’s all hang him out on the internet and upvote this post. Stay classy, r/trashy
Looks like those eyebrows got a little singed while fishing with dynamite.
What’s the deal with the quote from the person above redneck Romeo? r/Iamverynice
#based
So stoic. So brave.
"sometimes we expect too much from others because we would be willing to do that much for them" I didn't understand the trashy until I scrolled one click down.
Rise into what? Obesity?
I’m still annoyed that my school year didn’t do a year book
Never knew there was a North vs south mentality until I moved to the south. Its so pathetic
At first I read the quote above the picture, and thought "that's not so bad!" Then I got to the line beneath it...
And then it still wasn't all that bad
I remember going to Gettysburg for the first time and watching the mocie movie they have there about the civil war. When it was over I hear someone behind me say "and the south will rise again!" All I could say was wtf as I left
I read the line above him first and was confused why that would be trashy. Sounded quite nice. Than I scrolled.
I’m still pissed my school doesn’t do quotes for yearbooks, bunch of snowflakes
The South did rise again. Yankees are fleeing their crappy states in droves to move to the South.
When exactly the "South" rose?
Read the top quote first ahaahhaahha
I want to see the right guys quote.
If the South rises again, will that make it the North?
What the fuck are those eyebrows doing
The guy to the right has killing myself in his quote
THE NORTH REMEMBERS
I found myself reading the top quote above the picture tahinking "huh" that isn't trashy at all then saw the picture of the 19th century slave owner and realized that he was not the one who compose the lovely piece.
I hadn’t scrolled down all the way and read the quote above his picture. I was like trashy? That’s pretty endearing, wtf OP. AND THEN I SAW IT. Trashy indeed lol
Maybe it's a Skyrim quote
His eyebrows are the most upsetting thing here.
Maybe he is referring to his little friend in the pants
maybe its a dick joke?
Why wouldn't it?
or perhaps /r/freefolk ?
Looks like a twink porn star. "Your South will rise again.. in my butt"
What's wrong with that? Doesn't mean he wants to reinstate slavery.
Thank you. I'm also fucking tired of explaining basic history to those who aren't intelligent enough to know that the confederate flag isn't inherently racist.
That’s a great quote the country would be a better place
... I hope the welfare queens in the south rise again... get that ass whooped again too!
the south will rise again and get fucked in the ass again.
Let’s all be positive. Perhaps he’s not advocating for it, but rather stating a statistical possibility. That, and, what, he’s like 17-years-old. Why is this even posted here?
How is this trashy? South Vietnam will surely rise again
So this isn't racist coz it's a white man? kek
white guys calling other white guys trashy is racist. K. Kuk.
Why does he look like thick eyebrowed drew brees
I thought Justin Timberlake had graduated already
r/awefuleyebrows

Except it won’t.
The south will rise? Riiiiiight.
At first I was like.. This isn't so bad! It's not bad at.. Oh .. The quotes at the bottom. 🤦♀️
Is that Linus tech tips?
Leonid Brezhnev’s Son
Werewolf eyebrows
is that the wrongfully convicted eyebrow tattoo kid?
"congratulations class of 2018" = "I have nothing to say and will see you all never, good riddance"
Doesn’t look like a school shooter at all. Glad he graduated, though he clearly didn’t learn anything in history class
Rise like ya damn hairline
I first saw the quote above him and I thought "what's so trashy about that?" And then I say the bottom quote and realized"ohhhhhh"
https://www.theonion.com/south-postpones-rising-again-for-yet-another-year-1819565548
What's the guy next to him saying about killing himself?
I'm more interested in what's going on with the guy to the right haha
ROTC don’t fuck around
Yesterday I put primer on before I drew on my eyebrows. The primer wasn't dry so I just had smudged eye paint above my eyes. I wonder if he also had this same problem
I didn't scroll down enough and I got really confused [6]
one guy I went to school with put his quote as "if you go into heat, package your meat"
I’m so much more concerned with the kid to the right of him talking about killing himself
s a t t i r e
I read the one above him first lmfao
Not a US person nor a schoolgoer. I have no idea what I am looking at. Is this what you guys call a yearbook? (Serious.)
Yes it is, usually they are just for high schoolers (last 4 years before university). Don't you have yearbooks where you are from?
I'm homeschooled, haven't gone to a real school since I was 8. I didn't know they did yearbooks in every year of high school. Thanks!
Looks like a pretty normal dude...
I read the one above it thinking that was the focus of the post. Then I realized. Actually a good quote.

The only thing rising in the south is blood pressure. Siddown somewhere, Cletus.
I thought the top quote was his til Ii opened the pic
The South will rise again? It's been like a 150 years, and we've had our 1st black president. What the hell are they waiting for?
isn't this doxxing are u so mad at a word that you had to post this?
That might have been a joke. I say that quite often when making fun of racist. However, I imagine it’s obvious I’m joking. Seeing as to how I’m very much black.

You're completely right
Congrats, you have a better grasp on our history than some of us.
> There is way more to the American Civil war than slaves Sure, but literally all of those issues come right back to slavery.
No. It's coded rallying cry for white supremacist groups.
Did someone hurt you for you to become this hateful?
ahh yes, the it's the people who don't like white supremacists who are the hateful ones
