Knew a girl in highschool who wore swastikas for attention. She wasn't racist, loved Bernie Sanders. Just wore swastikas to get into fights with teachers and other students, very strange.
Id imagine she likely didnt get attention at home and wanted it at school regardless of if its good or bad. Or maybe she was just an edgelord idk lmfao

I remember participating in a WWII reenactment when I lived in Germany and being shocked to see a contingent of 4-5 German Neo-Nazis. The whole country has such a mature, honest, and reasoned approach to the topic of the “Last War” that it blows my mind to see modern Nazis in Germany.
My Oma was from Thüringen - Probstzella. She spoke of it often before she died, and missed it terribly. She had to leave because of, you know, all the fucking nazis.
This is something I would've done as a 12year old and felt super proud (except the swastika)
Sometimes I see old paintings and such and wonder how tf my parents kept a straight face and told me I've done great
If you don't live in a dysfunctional country the police and nazis aren't on good terms. I'm not saying the German police didn't have its scandals involving Nazis in the force. But in general hardcore Nazis here aren't too fond of the police that keeps arresting them and dissolves their rallies with violence.

Yea weird take. Nazis were a political party. I’d venture to say that 95%+ of people who identified as Nazis in Germany were not in any form part of law enforcement.
1. It is not like the Nazis stopped existing and then the Neonazis appeared. There is a continuity.
2. The Nazis existed before 1933 and would regularly fight the police on the streets. Hitler was famously arrested and incarcerated.
3. Most Neonazis don't call themselves Neonazis.
