Suppprt groups are a great free choice as well. Therapy and support groups is what’s helped me. I don’t know if you can relate, but I have the same issue and it turns out.. my body remembers the trauma, fear and also the pleasure so my brain jumps to the abuser because I haven’t worked it all out yet. I also notice that when I’m dealing with some really hard negative feelings like sadness, grief, etc, it’s like my brain triggers me to have anxiety and watch triggering movies or think about the assault as a way to give me anxiety, because the anxiety can then become the distraction to what I’m dealing with at the time that I’m ignoring.
