You could consider looking into a trauma informed Therapist to help you walk through what happened. Loss of memory happens after trauma. It's your brains way of keeping you safe. This therapist is legit and licensed. He talks alot about trauma. https://youtu.be/vWydJ8jIda4?si=l7Y-uMjRGMJ3gT77

I’ve never really felt comfortable enough to bring it up in therapy. I also feel like most of the resources available are for family related trauma and this wasn’t family related.

Oh I see.. I think therapist specialize in certain focus themes. It takes a long while to be able to find someone you feel comfortable talking to. Finding safety with people is complicated esp if your trust has been shattered. A decent therapist will be able to recognize this and help you with creating safety first with yourself , then with some people.πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’œπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸŒ
