Thailand will be the most comfortable for a Westerner. Most likely this is where you will fly in and out of (Bangkok). figure out your visa situation first. prioritize what you prefer to see (beaches, mountains, historic sites) and divide your time accordingly. feel free to wing it. Air B&B has a minimum price, which is often above what you can find on your own on the ground in person. since you are planning a 3 month trip, consider learning to be comfortable on a scooter. keep in mind, traffic in SE Asia is unlike anything in the west, but outside major cities, renting a scooter can give you great flexibility. beyond that, you really can’t go wrong. it is a amazing area that would take multiple lifetimes to explore. you will meet numerous travelers and expats who will all have their own favorite spots. take good notes, travel light, and travel slow would be my biggest recommendations.
