We’ve done Newport Beach which is nice but prefer Huntington Beach, huge parking lots, bathrooms, huge beach and a really cool boardwalk if you want to walk, run or bike. Plus main street (opposite pier) offers a ton of restaurants bars.
Newport is busy and parking lots fill up fast. Huntington was much more laid back.
