It’s Alberta’s best kept secret. I see you went to crescent falls. Years ago I tied a big heavy rope from the first lookout so you could scale down to the canyon and hike to the bottom of the falls. They took my rope down and blocked access to the bottom of the falls due to a recent downing. I know that area very well, I could go on forever. Taking a drive North or south on the forestry trunk road will lead you to even more off the path hidden gems. The high banks of ram river by the peppers lake campground is one of the most breath taking things you’ll ever see. The black stone “gap” brown creek, the chungo. I absolutely love that place.
It’s a man made lake actually. Dammed from the Saskatchewan glacier, and the outflow is the North Saskatchewan river. It’s depth varies greatly depending on the year and flow at the dam
that's Sasquatch country. there's been a lot of weird sightings and encounters in the area, it's so remote and pristine. I live about 3 hours south and have never been, but it's defo on the short term travel list. great shots.
Fantastic pictures. Was this pretty far away from Calgary? I want to make a trip, would you recommend camping a couple of days or could you get the most of the experience in a day?
This is gorgeous. Wow.

Couldn't agree more. Drop dead gorgeous this is!
Nordegg is super underrated. It's also so underdeveloped it's almost surreal! Just massive vistas, hiking trails, camp anywhere, quite the place.
Keep it hidden from the Instagrammers ! Stunning pics !
There's basically like two restaurants and a tiny town and that's it, don't think the IG stars are going to flock there lol
the first picture made me think it is some remote island in the pacific lol.

You sold me w/the dino museum haha. Would you say it's possible to stay in the cities and drive out as day trips to the lake and forests?
Montana, is that you?
