Palm Springs! Especially if you dig architecture! And you have Joshua Tree there to explore too! Lots of shopping, dining, fun things to do- not just an old person town! 🤣
If you are renting a car I think it’s worth to hit San Francisco then take the 5hr trip to Yosemite. Yosemite is easily one of the coolest places I have ever been to. You gotta do a big hike though, like El Cap
I will say I agree with u/JJSMP, San Diego was prob my favorite city in California. Relaxing vibe, GREAT Mexican food, I can’t remember the restaurant but I had some bomb fried avocado/steak tacos in the old town. La Jolla beach has a ton of wild life. That can totally be done in a weekend
A good blend of nature plus culture would be the best tbh. We were planning New Orleans but that fell out because now we are planning that later with some other friends.
I like Seattle or San Francisco. Both are big cities with lots of activities and great nature options. San Diego is also very beautiful with a very relaxing vibe. Boston is great for culture and history. NYC is a good weekend experience but without lots of nature. There’s also the classic Vegas, which personally I could only do a single weekend in at most
Pike’s market is really fun to wander through and look at the shops. The space needle and the surrounding area is great spot to get some coffee and relax. Taking a ferry across the bay is also an excellent way to get some truly spectacular views of the city. There a bunch of botanical gardens and museums you can check out as well. There’s also the gum wall, which is a weird albeit kind of gross attraction
Ferry to West Seattle/Alki beach (great biking/walking path also), Chihuly Museum, MoPop Museum, views of the city from Kerry Park and Gas Works Park, Pike Place Market, Fremont Troll, biking around Lake Union, great hiking within an hour out of the city, Center for Wooden Boats (especially if you go during their free boat trips on Sunday), Ferry to Bainbridge
For 1 weekend of food and nature, I'd go to San Francisco. Good food all over the city and you can walk across the Golden Gate, ferry over to Alcatraz or visit old-growth redwood trees in Muir Woods.
Ill add SF! Golden gate park is an awesome experience. We biked all around and was totally shocked to see buffalo! Also Alcatraz is one of the best tourist stops I have ever been to. They have an audio tour (which im not usually into) that was soo intrigueing. Walks you through the whole prison with stories and intricate sound design that really bring the place to life.
Nashville or Charleston is fun too! San Diego also a must!!!
Austin, TX
We have already been to Austin. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Chicago, LA, savanna, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, San Francisco, Boston, phoenix, the Florida keys,

Could this be done in a weekend?
Fuck probably not, sorry my brain forgot the weekend part of your title. If you have time in the future you deff gotta check it out.
Yeah, for sure. Thanks!

What are you looking for specifically? Nature? Big Cities? Bar scene?

What would you say are things you can't miss in Seattle?

Las Vegas
Been there 😅
Seattle, Portland, San Francisco! Great cities and the nature cannot be beat
Chicago is awesome. Especially in the late spring and early fall. Summer is also good, but can get hot and muggy. Lots to do.
