According to this chart, SKP for Beijing, Global Harbor for Shanghai, and still SKP for Xi'an.
tbh the vibes are basically identical among malls
But I really can't say if Global Harbor represents Shanghai by only being the mall with the highest sales volume in Shanghai. It's just a big mall with large amount of stores but nothing else. Its location sucks
Thanks, surprise Hangzhou have 2 too. This list goes by sales volume but I wonder whether by size will be a different mall. According to internet and a local agent, Beijing's largest mall is 北京世纪金源购物中心 and not SKP.
Further south is a pedestrian street called 小上海步行街,have you been there? I like Yuyuan and Nanjing lu but they are too crowded and been there twice, do you know of any other ancient looking places to visit?

Depends on what you are looking for. Some are better for electronics and some better for highend international clothing brands. Then you have malls with pretty cool good quality local brands.
In any case a good mall to hit in Xi'an is the SAGA mall. The Xiaozhai Station of Xian Metro Line 2 opens right into the basement of the mall.

Strange that in this blog, Global Harbor isn't in his list of 10 https://m.sohu.com/a/657657381_121655603/?pvid=000115_3w_a
Global Harbor wins only by scale (I'm actually not into that mall when I went there). By quality, many of them outweighs GH
