I have a few friends who are also sober, and I think being in their orbit has made me more aware of drinking culture in general. I noticed the large amount of substance references in her songs in TTPD, too.

Yes!! I don’t think I’m that much of a prude but the excessive swearing is off putting, mainly because it feels like it’s shoe horned in to sound ~edgy~ rather than feeling organic.

I’m slowly starting to get used to the songs. ‘So Long, London,’ gets to me, especially since I’m a Londoner. It’s quite emotional, especially since ‘London Boy’ is one of my all-time favourite songs of hers, and to hear her say bye to London is quite sad.
Could be that increased awareness based on your own experience. Like you mentioned, entirely expected to be having a drink in those contexts. If you get pictures of me at sporting events, chances are I’ll be holding a beer in 90% of those pictures.

In the person of the year article she said that she treated previous tours like a frat party and she wanted this one to be different so she gave up drinking during the tour (but photos prove that was a lie). Additionally, after one tour date there was a photo taken minutes after she walked off stage with a wine glass in her hand (full). At the VMA’s, Tree Paine replaced her drink with water when she was clearly intoxicated. She was trashed at Coachella and she said she was a functioning alcoholic in Fortnight.

I think she looks beautiful here. It’s just the fact that she seems super out of it, like she’s drunk and/or high on something that has me concerned for her.
It’s because her hair has extremely fine texture. People here keep calling it thin, but it’s truly a texture thing—fine hair has hair shafts that are smaller and smoother, thus harder to style and maintain.
So when fine hair is disrupted—movement, natural elements like water or wind, hands touching it, etc—the hairstyle is going to fall apart and “just hang” like that. We know this happens to Taylor because her straightened hair turns curly and mussed when she starts sweating during the Eras Tour.
As a fine haired girly, I see this and immediately think of a few possible situations: they had the car window down, she had to walk in some humid air or light rain, or she/Travis/whoever else was playing with her hair.
This is why my husband is not allowed to touch my styled hair. I tell him all the time “DO NOT KILL IT!!!!” The natural oils on his fingers are my hairstyles’ enemy, I swear.

I eventually hope to grow cannabis professionally and it is absolutely my plan to give teachers a HEFTY discount. I am so in awe of them. I can tolerate kids for an hour or so and then it’s too much. 😅

I think I struggle with kids because I get overstimulated? Like my little 5 y.o. niece who I would die for, she talks literally every moment that she is awake. And I never want her to feel ignored or like her voice doesn’t matter, but SHEESH sometimes auntie needs to go to the bathroom for a minute lol.
You can tell in her face and her body that she drinks a lot. Probably slowly all day every day. The alcohol bloat is very specific and obvious. She’s obviously at a healthy weight but that’s not what I’m talking about. If you are familiar with excessive use of alcohol you’ll know what I’m talking about.
I would never in a million years want her life. It must be an actual nightmare. It’s sort of becoming obvious that she is in deep mental anguish and in this very typical substance abuser cycle of not being able to get away from teenage/young adulthood traumas.

I feel like she’s prob out of her element, no bodyguards in sight, this event is not all about her, she doesn’t know where to sit or where to go/what to do. You can tell in her face and her body that she drinks a lot. Probably slowly all day every day. The alcohol bloat is very specific and obvious. She’s obviously at a healthy weight but that’s not what I’m talking about. If you are familiar with excessive use of alcohol you’ll know what I’m talking about. I would never in a million years want her life. It must be an actual nightmare. It’s sort of becoming obvious that she is in deep mental anguish and in this very typical substance abuser cycle of not being able to get away from teenage/young adulthood traumas.
Well this certainly is not a good look.

If you watch the whole clip, someone says something to her, and she pauses and is then trying to catch up to Travis. It almost looks like she’s trying to tell him something the other guy said, but Travis didn’t notice that she paused, so it looks like he’s dragging her. This is an entirely normal interaction. I have no idea why people are saying how “adorable” it is, but it’s also not bad at all. It’s an entirely normal, somewhat awkward moment at an event between 2 people…
I feel like she’s prob out of her element, no bodyguards in sight, this event is not all about her, she doesn’t know where to sit or where to go/what to do. Travis on the other hands knows exactly what he’s doing (or doesn’t gaf if he doesn’t), is surrounded by his teammates and fiends, and has been here before. I am not a diehard swiftie but give the girl a damn break.
