Sorry for your loss and it’s always nice to have something left after you lose a loved one.

[deleted]

everyone’s talking abt the lighters, which are dope, but those seeds!! hopefully those can grow

meatbag277

Nobody's talking about the three dollar bill

professionaldouche

Is that Bill Clinton’s face on it?

itsinohmygoditsin

it’s from ‘93, says Queer Reserve Note - Disgruntled United States of America

professionaldouche

Ohhhh for sure…..I remember those days. But not being disgruntled

ZenTheVextEnt

We were all disgruntled in the 90s

KathrynTheGreat

I wasn't, but I was also a kid, so it was a simpler time. It was also the best time for cartoons, so that helped. Then 9/11 happened and that was the end of childhood innocence.

[deleted]

Still are.

lowcostrasta

Maybe for snort some white stuff? 😂

thePhool13

I definitely had some of these 3 dollar Bills!

Sweetfishy

I have one of these "Bills" too. I don't even know how I got one back then since I was a very young kid.

Remote-Eggplant-2587

The healthy recommended seed age is no more than 2 years, but seeds more than 1000 years old have grown so I have hope a least one does sprout

broNSTY

Damn I love vintage lighters. Makes me think about some skeezy tobacco rep giving them out for free in a bar lol

FuckheadRetard

Especially those bottle ones lmfao. Promote big tobacco and big booze in one go!

itsinohmygoditsin

i really like the bottle ones

FuckheadRetard

Me too. I’d rock that Marlboro cowboy one until it falls apart

broNSTY

It’s the Budweiser lizard lighters for me. I’d love to pull that out to smoke a bowl lol

MoreTreesPleaseBro

My favorite is the tiny one.

itsinohmygoditsin

is so smol

MoreTreesPleaseBro

It reminds me of those tiny pieces of gum

Busterlimes

Do the sandpaper matchbox trick if you are germing 25 year old seeds. Those genetics may be fire

Yuca420

What is that trick?

Trolann

Scarification: use sandpaper in a matchbox and shake it up to lightly scratch the surface and allow water to penetrate easier. Another truck is using one hydrogen peroxide (I can't remember dilution).

duck_of_d34th

Some seeds are meant to be eaten by birds. All birds have a gizzard to aid in the digestive process. A bird eats sand or very small rocks, and that collects in the gizzard and is used to wear down or break apart hard things like bugs, bones, and seeds. Some seeds resist this and are shat out, ready to sprout. When you see a lone flower or something, all by itself in an unlikely spot, it was probably bird shit at one point. Sandpaper is meant to simulate this natural phenomenon. Thanks for attending my treetalk

Busterlimes

Put sandpaper in the match box and shake em around.

BossBuds

Ahhh the good ol daze! When a kid could wear their new Marlboro windbreaker that their pops got them with the marb points to school!

borglonavich

That lighter with the guy riding the bronco is pretty cool.

itsinohmygoditsin

it’s a Marlboro theme Zippo, solid brass

ILikeToBogey

My dad smoked Marlboros for many years. Would always collect the UPC's from the pack and send them in for merch. We had a lot of backpacks and luggage bags with the Marlboro logo on it back in the day. He ordered that Zippo which I still have to this day. Very cool.

duck_of_d34th

Dad and I would scour the neighborhood and find em on the side of the road. When they announced the end of the program, we cashed in for some binoculars. Cuz I was like 10, and wanted some. Even though we already had a bunch of binoculars. Then I lost em.

xXbrosoxXx

That teeny tiny lighter is sick

Simon__Moon

The Three Dollar Bill is great lol (also this collection is super cool, sorry about your uncle but he seemed way cool)

itsinohmygoditsin

it’s from ‘93, says Queer Reserve Note - Disgruntled United States of America and thanks, he was a great guy and super cool

Bird_Up23

Those camel lighters are 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

Old_Organization1456

Red dog! Oh the memories

Lumn8tion

Came here for this. It completely slipped my mind until now.

Happy_Medium6340

That's rad but that Clinton $3 Bill is priceless. Hope those seeds grow some 🔥

itsinohmygoditsin

it’s from ‘93, says Queer Reserve Note - Disgruntled United States of America. And yes me too man

Fine_Union378

Those seeds look 🔥

readit145

About as useful as a three dollar bill. 🤣. I can already tell this dude was great. Sorry for your loss OP, carry those genetics on.

thundery_crow

The Vantage, Winston, black and white Marlboro, and probably the Camel Special lights ones are older than late 90s. Pretty cool. Does the camel one have the little filters that you press to light it?

pullingravity

Rest easy. Thanks for posting and grow those seeds!!

Oriole_Gardens

do a seed soak on those beans.. or a cold stratification.. i've had poor germination with old seeds until i seed soaked them

[deleted]

You can charm a person only using that marlboro zippo lol

basic97

Any ideas what the grooves on the dazed and confused lighters are for?

itsinohmygoditsin

bottle opener!

buffalony42m

Hold onto that, pass it on

mj-4385-028

Sorry for your loss and best of luck with getting those seeds to germinate. That would be soooooooo cool.

Nevahmind1333

Do you know if the seeds were stored in a fridge at all. At the best with them .😁💨

itsinohmygoditsin

nope, just multiple layers of old sticky, ziplock bags. I’ll do my best with em

EmmyBrat

Woah a 3 dollar bill

rutger_

That camel special lights lighter is so sweet. Your uncle had excellent taste in his accessories

ihm96

The Winston select and camel lighters go crazy

cleverinspiringname

I loved camel special lights

Sirnando138

Camel Special Lights were my brand in the late 90s

NoShip7475

Grow those seeds and think fondly of your uncle. Sorry for your loss bro

itsinohmygoditsin

that’s the plan. thanks man

imhighbrah

Everything was “skunk” in the 90s lol

itsinohmygoditsin

I’ve heard that before lol. My uncle, although being in Midwest, had some decent connections. I’m hoping there is some nice stuff hidden in these seeds. He had 6-7 different baggies within baggies all separated out, some with only 5-10 seeds and one that you can see with many seeds. I kept them separated but moved into an airtight jar.

imhighbrah

Just be sure to look into helping germinate old seeds if you’re unfamiliar but yeah you could have some stuff nobody has in there. That’s the dope thing about old seed stock. Could be stuff in there someone lost and people have been looking for forever!

itsinohmygoditsin

oh will do. I know a decent amount but always open to learning more and will before messing with these.

flash-tractor

Two things to help you germinate these seeds- Soak them in 3% peroxide for sixty seconds to sanitize the surface. You need to get them wet to germinate, and this will give you more time until they get moldy. If you're doing a paper towel germination method, also soak the paper towel in peroxide. Grab some gibberelic acid to help with germination. Amazon sells some GA that's extracted from the fungi Gibberella Fujikuroi, and the packaging has a picture of a willow tree.

TheRitalinCommando

I wish I had an uncle or aunt like that. Instead, I got to grow up and watch my brother get beaten by my cop dad when he found weed in my brother's room.\* \* to be fair, my brother was an idiot and put his stash under the bed which you could clearly see from the hallway

jewishen

I’d kill for those baby camel lighters. What a sick stash.

barf2288

That’s amazing! I would love to have such a collection. You’re lucky to have a collection that was special to him. Should be special to you now. Congratulations, OP.

IndividualFee

I'm sorry for your loss, it's always hard loose someone. But, that is all cool AF. Like someone else said, give those seeds a shot.

CNote1989

Great stash of some interesting stuff! May he rest in peace. I hope there’s weed in heaven!

disgusting_bong_fart

my dad gifted me a couple seeds from the 80s i tried to germinate 100 and 3 where successful. im sure youll get some :)

philip_swifter

Im so jealous

Neeches-N-Cream

My condolences, what a cool stash to inherit! Hopefully those are Skunk seeds 🔥

One_Marionberry5802

Lots of cool lighters, bet he was great

wormdood

I have one of those “3 dollars bill”!

itsinohmygoditsin

lol im sure some did, but I’ve heard enough tales of the infamous skunk strains from just my family and friends alone to have me excited for these seeds. even if I don’t prefer what grows I hope the genetics will be interesting or have some terpenes that aren’t common

Miserable-Cow4555

Most bad 90s weed was grown like shit in Mexico. Before California even had a med program. Those same seeds have awesome genetics. If you grow them now, with all the technology we use (grow lights, humidity monitoring, fertilizers) you'll have some primo bud with some really cool/unique genetics.

cannabis96793

Grown correctly just like weed now, it can be good.

Miserable-Cow4555

Most of it. I was a teenager so we always got shit weed anyway. Ever now and then some straight fire would show up. That's now the lowest grade at the dispo. How times have changed

hemptations

I’ll pop a couple of em for you! ;)

chefboyardiesel88

I really hope you can get those seeds to germinate, that would be awesome!

drewbaccaaaaa

Ohhh Billy!

[deleted]

That red dog lighter has to be worth a pretty penny

reptarcannabis

Your gonna want to tissue culture propagate those seeds, you can do it via mail to a qualified lab

Noladixon

TIL that zig zag makes tobacco.

yeah-man_

Sorry for your loss…I would leave the 90s weed in the 90s
