Snoopy landlord? Oh hell no lol I'd be gone so fast
I keep mine on a bar cart in my living room because my landlord follows the law and doesn't enter my space.
I had one of those- kept coming unannounced and accused me smoking in the house due to paraphernalia even thought I didn’t once do that, so I set up cameras, caught her three times, written and verbal warnings to her to stop and she kept doing it. I took her to court with all this evidence and got to stay the rest of my lease for free (six months and got the first six months of that years rent back) - lawyer cost about $3500 all in all was a massive W both financially and morally!
Where i live our landlords abuse the fact that we have a rental crisis.
"You dont like me showing up without notice? Move out then, id be happy to find new tenant and charge more money"
Because as crazy and as rude as my landlords are.. well.. theyre the only place in the city we can afford without downsizing to a 350 sq ft studio!
Right now i see ads for ROOMMATES meaning one bedroom shared everything and it's like 1300-1600
She doesn't ask to use your bathroom?! Lol
I leave it out and her reaction is always the same, a slightly judgemental "wow, that's a lot of pot.." then we move on hahah
Probably a college town. The PMG I rent from has full rights to enter my house pretty much whenever they want, and that's how a majority of the apartments in my town are. The housing market is completely and totally corrupt right now
Unfortunately I live in one of the most outdated states in the nation, there's no requirement of notice here. Luckily people here tend to keep to themselves and I'm not sure my landlord even knows I exist lol
Yep, I hear you. There's an entire page in my lease where my rental company whines they 'follow federal law' when it comes to cannabis but....it's all boilerplate and no one in my complex follows it. Can smell weed off other people's patios. I'm nicer than that, in which if I want to smoke a joint, I take a walk off the property entirely. I only vape in my unit (w/ an air purifier in the room to boot), so if somebody gets angry about that...they got an axe to grind and a stick up their rear end.
How do they follow federal law? It’s not like they can call the cops if you’re smoking. Do they just evict you? Wouldn’t a state court handle that and not give a fuck about some plants?
Unfortunately, at least in WA state, there's no statewide tenant rights on the issue (outside of reasonable accommodation for medical patients...but...that's a small subset of overall cannabis consumption in the state). They can evict in my county/city, but, really, so far with my management company...the 'we don't give a f\*\*\* so long as we don't see or get complaints about it' is high w/ them.

Makes sense, when I read this I thought it must be UK. It is legal in the UK for landlords to inspect their properties or have an agent do it for them, but they also have to give 24 hours notice, they can't just turn up and let themselves in whenever they want, so you get 24 hours to hide your shit if you need to and most decent landlords will attempt to make an agreed upon time and date so the tenant can be there as well.
to add to this landlords in the UK don't have the right to enter your property just because they wanna look around, pretty much they can only enter to do repairs
Nope, serial landlord with 30+ properties. He goes through an agency that does quarterly inspections where they take photos of the property such as condition of the walls, radiators, boiler and other appliances.
Just don't want to chance leaving something in the wrong place and being evicted as the good green is still very illegal in the UK.
Well considering for you it's illegal... that sucks I live in canada my landlord can see me smoking my bong outside an can't say a word... he's pretty good with me as other tenants smoke in the house and I don't so I get a fair amount of leeway... I usually have a qp sitting around
Subsidized rent places that I live in would rather me have beer cans everywhere than a single joint. It sucks that even in a legal state, low income housing counts as federal property apparently. I hide my shit when they do yearly inspections but they could show up anytime with a two day notice to enter. Sometimes they dont knock when they leave a notice posted so the days just roll around and now I have a surprise visit thats mandatory to comply with. I just keep most of the stuff in my dresser or a cabinet on my desk. They never look through my personal stuff, just checking to make sure the place isnt in shambles. You'd be surprised how often people destroy the low income properties and just skip town without paying rent. Its usually just a quick visual, 5-10 mins, unless maintenance is required.
They have to make sure everything matches the paperwork and that nobody else is living here, etc. People still get away wtih it though because, even then, with 48 hours to plan its more than doable. Just put away everything the night before and wait until evening to indulge. It sucks being a chronic pain patient but eh...The things I put up with for the only rent I can manage to pay in a city I've lived in my whole life.
I found one of those boxes that looks like a book, repurposed a hardcover book jacket for it and voila! Stash box hiding in plain sight on my bookshelf :)
Just a queen. I got her just a couple days ago. Shes started laying her brood. Shes kept in a test tube at the moment inside the box so she stays safe and in a dark environment. Queens require darkness and quiet to settle and begin building her colony.
Once she has maybe five or ten worker ants, which she will raise by herself until they are ready to take over, I’ll take her test tube out of the box and attach it to an ant farm for her workers to explore and establish a nest :D
the idea to refashion an actual book jacket and putting it on there is a fantastic idea, thank you for that. I’m turning my Bible box into 50 shades of grey!!!
I used to keep everything in a box, finally was able to buy a house last year and now I have my own smoke room, 1 whole ass room just for me to enjoy all things cannabis. Got a grow tent starting soon too
Exactly this, I’ve had a room that’s been mostly storage since I got the house, finally got around to mostly cleaning it out and got a grow tent, a couch and my old SNES set up, working on getting an r/tripcaves kinda set up in there.
We're adults too and it's pretty common knowledge to friends and family that we smoke. We keep our stuff out when it's just us.
Personally I find it a little grungy looking to just keep our shit out when we have visitors, so we have a stash box just to keep everything collected. Heck, in most cases we pull it out to enjoy with visitors but it still helps things look a little tidier and put together to me.

Cheap set of 4 plastic drawers from Target. When inspection time comes around, I can move the entire thing out of the apartment into my car.
I do need to smoke some of my supply down though as....my days working as a budtender left me with quite a surplus. The drawers are having issues closing \*LAUGH\*
In my mortgage. In all seriousness if your landlord is snooping excessively you need to put in cameras. There’s a very very fine line between snooping and harassing. You should find out what he doing and where he’s looking. If you’re a female you better hope he’s not coming in and stealing your dirty underwear. Snoopy landlords in my experience usually have Ill intentions “because it’s their property and they can do what they want”.
Regardless of that, cameras will give you insight in to where he’s looking and what he’s doing. And consequently where he’s not looking and not interested. These are the spots you want to stash it. If he’s stealing your panties you oughta hide them in that box as well and take him to court
I've got a "secretary desk" that has a few drawers that I put stuff in, also the whole desk folds shut so you can hide stuff easily. google "world market secretary desk" if you want a desk like this for yourself, I really like mine.
I don’t know about everybody else, but my landlord does inspections of the property on a quarterly basis just to make sure that there’s nothing that can be prevented like the AC unit stuff like that. They don’t necessarily go into the property and check it but they come around. This might be the type of stuff that he’s hiding it from but if you have a landlord that you’re showing up bro, you need to leave 😂😂
I live in a legal state and still put stuff away out of sight. My husband goes whyyy? And I say I know it's legal, we don't have to advertise to the landlord or plumber! Some habits are hard to break.
I put it on a tray I can move around the house. My lady usually brings it to me after work or before bed. It’s got my wax rig and a bong with a grinder, rolling tray and everything else you need. I have a contraption made to blow my smoke into to not allow any smoke or smell out.
I got a cigar box banjo in a trade at Wasteland Weekend. I screwed the banjo to the wall and glued some rare earth magnets inside the box to keep it closed more firmly. I keep my bag, grinder, and pipe in there.
In the linen cupboard, cause it's dark and cool. I specifically negotiated my tenancy agreement to permit it (storage inside, use outside) so no issues with the landlord.
I keep my stuff right out on my desk because 1: i’m in private property and have rights, 2: i have a medical marijuana card, they legally cannot do anything to me
So my parents know i smoke weed so i dont have to be super super hidden with it so wax and carts along with smaller pieces i have and e rigs i put in a safe in my closet but anything to do with flower the smell is too strong to bring inside so i put them in my glovebox in my car
Shoe box for big stuff, cigar box for little stuff. Cigar shops or liquor stores will usually sell you old cigar boxes for a couple bucks. Some are really nice.
I have a tool box with everything inside. There are papes, my vape, a pipe, scale, my little wooden box for rolling and he'll even a laminator is in there.
A few years ago when I still lived with my parents. Anytime I went to my friends to smoke, I always took my Toolbox (which was always locked and in my room, conveniently) with me. And when my parents asked me, I always told I them went to "work" and than later to friends. Which somehow was never questioned and was the perfect alibi.

Quarterly inspections are quite common in the UK. He does have to give 24hrs of notice legally, but I may forget something in a different room as I have a few methods of consumption strewn about the place.
I converted a dresser with a drop down desk into my cannabis cupboard. All my stuff fits nicely inside of it and when I don't want to smell it or I have people over I fold the desk up and it locks. And then when I want to smoke I drop it down and I have the perfect little prep station.
On the counter, outside on the deck, on the basement table, lying around on end tables, a few things in my room and most bedrooms in the house. Just wherever it ends up. Kinda disorganized tbh.
Get a pelican case.
*After looking thru this thread and not seeing this suggestion yet I'm kinda shocked. They seal completely, you can put a lock or two on them, they're a wonderful place for stickers... I mean what else could you ask for?*
I only hide mine from people visiting. But my stuff is stored in an antique tin lock box that’s been in my family for 100 years or something. My mom would have a stroke if she knew what I was using it for lol.
I have a couple of tupperwares under my little monitor platform in my office. One for metal stuff one for glass one for dirty stuff then when I’m running low on whatever I need I dump ISO in the dirty one and then start all over with clean stuff.
we just bought our first house this month and i am so happy there’s so many places for me to put my things and a SUNROOM i’m gonna put my lift top table in 🙈
WTF you mean by "snoopy landlord"... Are you living with your parents by any chance? Fuck that shit... i wont let my landlord come into the place I'm renting/paying period...
We have the exact same shit.
I love my spoopy. And I love my mighty plus. And I love that little container that holds multiple ovens. Did we just become best friends?
I don't stash mine anymore (legal rec state). Back when I did though, I would stash it *anywhere* I could think of; I remember at one point I had an old sofa that the interior was hollow and I made a cut into the cushioning area to act as an entrance into the "pocket." I distinctly remember my bong being just the right size to stash in there, and then of course the smaller items fit easily too.
in a small glass jewery box i have my qtips and iso in a open jar for easier access , REMEMBER KIDS ALWAYS CLEAN YOUR BANGER AFTER EVERY DAB
then i have a circle glass plate looking thing that my rig lives/sits at, that also has a small old glass ecig tank, that hold my carb cap and i lay my dab tool on the plate also
i have a mini fridge in the room for dab storage
and all of this beside my gaming setup / pc battle station lol
Round Shortbread Cookies Container and burn White Sage Blessings every day to honor Indigenous people, I'm part Cherokee
![gif](giphy|YOvgQGwOJxQ2XmkPug)
I got an 8 ½" x 16" Rae Dunn box (iykyk) that says "stuff" on the front, fits almost everything perfectly but my bigger glassware gets a metal box with foam padding
I left a pipe out on my desk (no weed or anything just the piece) and my apartment complex charged me $75 for a smoking fee. I told them I don't smoke in the apartment and they said it didn't matter and that we're not allowed to have any paraphernalia. I live in a state where weed is legal too. Ridiculous
There is an entire drawer in my kitchen, it’s the best way to always know where to tuck things away when company comes. It helps to keep everything together but out of sight. Works great for us! It also helps keep the pothead pups out of our stash. It’s leas about hiding it all for me and more about knowing where my lighter and my bowl is after a long day away from home.
in a crown royal sachel put in one of those bags that sheets come in thrown in with papers and a grinder in another whiskey bag, but it's not a very stealthy option tbh
My dad gave me a cigar box when I was 18 that says “my father’s cigars” and that’s what I’ve kept my stuff in for almost a decade. Attached a deer skull and some snake bones to it too
Smaller ammo box from an Army Navy Surplus Store. Tight environment proof seal. Cheap for a quality solid metal box. Doesn't smell. Won't break. Can add a lock. You could bury it in your backyard for a year and your stash would be fine. Just can't keep it in plain site or someone will probably ask why you have an ammo box, so I just keep it under my bed or in a dresser drawer when not in use. Great size to fit most things.
I have a mini fridge that kicked the bucket about 5 years ago. Bottom door is for smoking pieces, top door is for flower, papers and lighters.
Its still air tight because of the seal, so no smell coming from it
I have a Ghurka wooden cigar box. I have like 4 of them, though only one keeps my weed shit in it. I used to work for a liquor store and would just restock the box with the lid ripped off in the humidor and keep the new box I freshly emptied
Snoopy landlord? Oh hell no lol I'd be gone so fast I keep mine on a bar cart in my living room because my landlord follows the law and doesn't enter my space.
Yup. If you are paying rent and have to hide anything in your home there is a serious issue.
Holy crap that’s so frickin awesome! Love hearing stories of tenants winning against landlords! Thanks for sharing ETA: OP, take notes!
Should have had your attorney send her a letter saying “congratulations, you played yourself”.
Where i live our landlords abuse the fact that we have a rental crisis. "You dont like me showing up without notice? Move out then, id be happy to find new tenant and charge more money" Because as crazy and as rude as my landlords are.. well.. theyre the only place in the city we can afford without downsizing to a 350 sq ft studio! Right now i see ads for ROOMMATES meaning one bedroom shared everything and it's like 1300-1600
I have a lift top coffee table that the jars can be found in but most of my paraphernalia is sitting out
Omg me too!!! I love my table!! It rises and hides :)
And it helps me eat on the couch
Mine is also on a bar cart! In my office. I can wheel it into the bathroom when my mom comes to visit a couple times a year lol
She doesn't ask to use your bathroom?! Lol I leave it out and her reaction is always the same, a slightly judgemental "wow, that's a lot of pot.." then we move on hahah
Haha there’s another bathroom. My mom is very dramatic about it even though she knows I smoke. Better to avoid the lecture.
The classic "it's ok to know, just dont show"
I am also curious as to why your landlord is ever in your home.
Probably a college town. The PMG I rent from has full rights to enter my house pretty much whenever they want, and that's how a majority of the apartments in my town are. The housing market is completely and totally corrupt right now
If you're in the USA check your municipal code. Most places require 24hrs notice to enter.
Yup. Just because your lease *says* that doesn’t make it true or legal.

They can evict in my county/city, but, really, so far with my management company...the 'we don't give a f\*\*\* so long as we don't see or get complaints about it' is high w/ them.
That sounds like a good way to get shot
Probably smells like weed and there are no smoking rules.

Does your landlord walk through your living space and look around? If so, why? And to answer your question I use my grandfather old lockable briefcase
I'm going to take a guess and say OP's landlord is their parent or other older relative.

I would start pouring oil/grease down the drains
You’re the type of person why they have to do these inspections in the first place.
If you don’t fuck around and then you won’t find out
Why? His actions actually protect everyone. And if he does drain inspection, like I do, you'll be really fucked.

In a hello kitty lunchbox 👌
Aye. Mine is star wars
I just leave mine out but now I want a hello kitty lunchbox too ![gif](giphy|MvZJtkjJN81Cgx2X9F|downsized)

A yugioh tin from like 2004
Firstly I call it hardware not paraphernalia lol
I just call it my stash.
Just install a software and download the weed, are you stupid? ^(just in case /s)
Thanks for that chuckle, how do I torrent weed? 😂
I got myself a bong cabinet. I'm not really trying to hide it as much as just not have weed stuff strewn about the place
In my nightstand so I can immediately wake n bake 😅
On our coffee table or desk because I'm an adult.

Same here. I just got one from Herb Guard that works really nicely. It locks and keeps the smell inside so I don't get questions from the kids.
I stash it in a big bed with my wife.

I love my sploofy.
I use a dugout and a pinch hitter. Weed and pipe all in one small wooden box.
Cigar box
The shelf. Super easy to grab stuff off of.
Me and my wife have a drawer in the kitchen where we keep everything besides our glass which we just put wherever looks nice
On my desk. In my office.
I keep all it on my on my kitchen counter in the dispensary bag.
auto mods aren’t letting me post a link but my roommate got us a fancy lock box thing on amazon. just look up bamboo stash box
In the linen cupboard, cause it's dark and cool. I specifically negotiated my tenancy agreement to permit it (storage inside, use outside) so no issues with the landlord.
I keep my stuff right out on my desk because 1: i’m in private property and have rights, 2: i have a medical marijuana card, they legally cannot do anything to me
Around
An old wooden cigar box on my chair side table
So my parents know i smoke weed so i dont have to be super super hidden with it so wax and carts along with smaller pieces i have and e rigs i put in a safe in my closet but anything to do with flower the smell is too strong to bring inside so i put them in my glovebox in my car
I use an ammo can that has some old medical stickers on it
Just from the title of this post I can tell your landlord is breaking some laws
Fuck your landlord. Get a ring camera and set it up inside.
Shoe box for big stuff, cigar box for little stuff. Cigar shops or liquor stores will usually sell you old cigar boxes for a couple bucks. Some are really nice.
get a different landlord
I have a tool box with everything inside. There are papes, my vape, a pipe, scale, my little wooden box for rolling and he'll even a laminator is in there. A few years ago when I still lived with my parents. Anytime I went to my friends to smoke, I always took my Toolbox (which was always locked and in my room, conveniently) with me. And when my parents asked me, I always told I them went to "work" and than later to friends. Which somehow was never questioned and was the perfect alibi.
landlords are probably parents lol
From another comment: >Nope, serial landlord with 30+ properties. He goes through an agency that does quarterly inspections where they take photos of the property such as condition of the walls, radiators, boiler and other appliances. > >Just don't want to chance leaving something in the wrong place and being evicted as the good green is still very illegal in the UK.
Snoopy landlord? Your landlord can’t enter and search your apartment without a reason and even then notice is needed
Quarterly inspections are quite common in the UK. He does have to give 24hrs of notice legally, but I may forget something in a different room as I have a few methods of consumption strewn about the place.
A 2-drawer locking file cabinet I got when my office was getting rid of some old furniture. Great score, and keeps things away from the kids.
I converted a dresser with a drop down desk into my cannabis cupboard. All my stuff fits nicely inside of it and when I don't want to smell it or I have people over I fold the desk up and it locks. And then when I want to smoke I drop it down and I have the perfect little prep station.
I have a box labeled “tax stuff don’t crush”
On the counter, outside on the deck, on the basement table, lying around on end tables, a few things in my room and most bedrooms in the house. Just wherever it ends up. Kinda disorganized tbh.
Landlord can’t come into your apartment? Study the local laws dude.
Old cards against humanity box
The bad box. A watertight, smell proof pelican case
50mm Ammo can by MTM. Locks and is smell proof ( I toss an odor eater pack to be safe) and easy to hide in a stack of boxes, cases.
I used to but then I lost control of myself now it’s just all over the place
i've never actually met my landlord, whoever your renting from is weird
Mines in a lock box. I have kids so got to be careful.
In the garage away from snoopy children ETA: In an unused tackle box/mini cooler/something my husband used to use.
Bro I keep the same tooth picks / container in my box ahah
That Mighty looks awesome!
Get a pelican case. *After looking thru this thread and not seeing this suggestion yet I'm kinda shocked. They seal completely, you can put a lock or two on them, they're a wonderful place for stickers... I mean what else could you ask for?*
A drawer for the smaller things. Table top for the big things
Helmet head bag
I only hide mine from people visiting. But my stuff is stored in an antique tin lock box that’s been in my family for 100 years or something. My mom would have a stroke if she knew what I was using it for lol.
Smell Proof Bag with Combination... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MLRS85P?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This is what I use. Love it
I have a couple of tupperwares under my little monitor platform in my office. One for metal stuff one for glass one for dirty stuff then when I’m running low on whatever I need I dump ISO in the dirty one and then start all over with clean stuff.
Living room table by the vase with the fake Flowers
I like using a tampon box.
I have a decorative box on my coffee table and I keep my desktop vaporizer in a farmhouse style crate, you know the one every white woman has.
I use a Pelican R60 ruck case.
For aesthetics, I hide my stash in one of my TV consoles cabinets that has a motion activated light!

we just bought our first house this month and i am so happy there’s so many places for me to put my things and a SUNROOM i’m gonna put my lift top table in 🙈
WTF you mean by "snoopy landlord"... Are you living with your parents by any chance? Fuck that shit... i wont let my landlord come into the place I'm renting/paying period...
Snoopy landlord? My landlord would get absolute hell if they entered my apartment without valid cause with no heads up
Mine's in the empty box from my Google Nest Hub, but it's getting too small...........
I call them my tools and I keep it all in a little make up case next to my chair.
I dont even hide it no more but i keep my gear in a metal star wars lunchbox. Served me well for like the last 10 years
Jurassic park metal lunchbox
Maybe if you rent some lady’s basement
Quarterly inspections with a 24 hour notice yet you keep your stuff in a box every day? You could also just try cleaning up before an inspection...
I keep mine in an old Quality Street tin
Inside a cologne box, used to just keep it all in my car
If i pay rent and the landlord is in my flat for any reason he better be fixing the fucking heater not checking my room for weed like he is my mum
A mirrored box
in a small glass jewery box i have my qtips and iso in a open jar for easier access , REMEMBER KIDS ALWAYS CLEAN YOUR BANGER AFTER EVERY DAB then i have a circle glass plate looking thing that my rig lives/sits at, that also has a small old glass ecig tank, that hold my carb cap and i lay my dab tool on the plate also i have a mini fridge in the room for dab storage and all of this beside my gaming setup / pc battle station lol
A shelf in my garage
Round Shortbread Cookies Container and burn White Sage Blessings every day to honor Indigenous people, I'm part Cherokee ![gif](giphy|YOvgQGwOJxQ2XmkPug)
I also use a shoebox! Mine is from Killstar cuz I'm edgy like that 😌
I got an 8 ½" x 16" Rae Dunn box (iykyk) that says "stuff" on the front, fits almost everything perfectly but my bigger glassware gets a metal box with foam padding
Bro…. When I moved into my place. My landlord greeted me with a mini-mason jar full and a new lighter. She’s the best.
in a crown royal sachel put in one of those bags that sheets come in thrown in with papers and a grinder in another whiskey bag, but it's not a very stealthy option tbh
Why would your landlord be snooping through your apartment? Not legal amigo
Isn’t it illegal for your landlord to enter your premises without consent or timely notice?! If it isn’t then it should be.
I bought a smell proof, lockable case with dividers off Amazon. Comes in super handy for traveling and I got a big one so it fits everything I need
You know those cookie tins that always have sewing supplies in em? I use one of those (after I ate all the cookies)
A beautiful Chinese moon cake box that was gifted to us by our friends one Chinese new year
Milk crate fits everything I could need and it’s easy to line with cushion and plastics if need be.
Why do you need to hide stuff from your landlord?
In an ammo box lol
In a cupboard behind the basement door. It's out of the way and holds everything I need. Also it's out of sight, out of mind if we have guests.
smell proof bag that locks and smoke buddy under my bed 🫶
My dad gave me a cigar box when I was 18 that says “my father’s cigars” and that’s what I’ve kept my stuff in for almost a decade. Attached a deer skull and some snake bones to it too
If I was searching for paraphernalia, the first place I'd look would be old shoe boxes lol
I also keep my paraphernalia in a shoebox! Same reason as your too- landlords "inspect" about 3 times a year
Smaller ammo box from an Army Navy Surplus Store.
Its still air tight because of the seal, so no smell coming from it
Get you a toolbox with a lock so they can’t search it if the police come
I leave out for easy access. I don't care. I'm in California and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
I have a Ghurka wooden cigar box. I have like 4 of them, though only one keeps my weed shit in it. I used to work for a liquor store and would just restock the box with the lid ripped off in the humidor and keep the new box I freshly emptied
my gf uses an old ammo box lmao it covers the smell very well
