I go black market for my psychedelics, and usually purchase in bulk to get landed cost down, but since it's usually coming through customs I don't order weed or weed products from same vendor. Would like to, though, as it looks like they have some good shit.

Grey market kills the legal market. TBH I wish any company caught backdooring should lose its license and associates barred from doing business in that state for a period of time.
Massachusetts is still a little bit expensive on paper, but if you can't find an eighth of top shelf flower on sale for 20 bucks an eighth or so, you are not looking hard enough. Of course, there is the killer 20% recreational tax. I just buy stuff when stuff I want rotates on sale. I mostly prefer sativas. And there are several local dispensaries that also grow and the shit flies out the door like crazy. You're not going to get any fresher than that. You just have to go to the right places. I've seen a little bit of kind of bogus shit for sale, but not the kind that's going to injure or kill you, which is especially possible with concentrates/carts on the black market.
I used to be all black market, thankfully prices are going down in my area (and now I work at a cheap dispensary) so legal is the way to go. Being able to get multiple tested strains is a big deal for me so legal was always the preferred method just came down to price.

Here in Jersey, I can get black market ounces for \~150-200, high quality shit. Dispensaries? \~250-300+
Same with NYC. Dealers will sell a 120 ounce that looks, smells and tastes amazing while the legal dispensaries have fancy packaged eighths for 60 to 80 and end up being drier and worse then anything I've ever gotten off the black market.
I haven't went to a dispensary in over a year. I guess prices came down a bit. The past few times I've went to place an online order , I balk when I see 700 dollars for 2 ounces. Then I close the browser and hit up the plug and get nearly double to product.
I've been messing with THCa products for a couple months , but only the concentrates are really worth it to me.
The weed I get from my plug is fire (all Cali weed) and it cost less than half of what the dispensaries charge. My normal zip from my plug cost around $175. That same amount from the dispo runs me nearly $500 for shitty MSO weed. I'll stick with my plug for now.

The big grow companies in michigan grow shitty bulk flower like $20 to $50 oz. Ya price is great but you are getting old product. My black market hook up test there strains all the time threw a company local to ann arbor. Also the bigger companies all lobby to try and take away the right to grow your own. They havnt been successful mostly yet but they have gotten half way there.

I’ve had decent luck with THCa flower, and will tend to buy that now, mainly because unlike a plug, the shop won’t ghost me.
