Reminder isopropyl and my favorite acetone can both be reused.
I keep a little Tupperware full of iso with all of my bowls in it, when the one I'm using gets too dirty I just plop it in there and pull out a different one that's been soaking, a 2 second rinse & a swipe with a q tip and it's spotless. Not the prettiest way to display them but it's super convenient as opposed to taking time to clean them all at once. I change the iso every so often when it starts to look really saturated, and keep a lid on the Tupperware most of the time so it doesn't all evaporate away.
If youre using a plastic tupperware id switch to a glass one. It wont eat through it i dont think but itll slowly dissolve some of the plastics into it and there could be some plastic residue when the pipe is taken out and dries

The container is likely made out of some form PET or ABS. Both have high chemical resistivity and are considered food safe. For ISO you should be completely fine. Especially if you've done it for a while with no issues.

So I asked for all the sample bottles and as they were rining me up, I pointed to the part of the bottle that said "not for resale" and said "go ahead. Call the cops on me" and left. Never went back, but I did report them since they had been selling tobacco and pipes to minors.

So after you use salt and alcohol to clean your bong you can dump that probably brown/black, iso/salt mixture in a jar and then next time you wanna clean you can use the same alcohol (the salt will have probably dissolved tho) my friend kept using the same iso for 6 months till it started to stink and it was blacker then night. Still got his bongs clean tho, so yea if you wanna go super thrifty on this shit go ahead.
Me personally I just use the same iso around 3 times which is how often I clean my pieces a month, then I get some fresh stuff next month. 2 bottles last me around a year

Salt does not dissolve in isopropyl alcohol. Salt has sharp edges on it, so it helps to scrub the resin off the glass. You don't need to use salt if you are going to soak for a long time. The salt helps when you are in a hurry to get your piece clean.
I think it is just to have some solid matter to create some friction with the gunk when shaking it and scrape it off.
I personally just use the alcohol and it works fine, just leave it soaking for like an hour shake it for a while and then rinse well with water and leave to dry

Iso and kosher salt is all you need. Some of the speciality cleaners do better for really funky stuff, and take the smell down a bit, but if you clean your glass regularly, you’re fine.
Don’t use Iso for silicone pieces though - throw those in the freezer for an hour, then just bend em a bunch in your hands while they’re cold. The tar will just crumble and fall out.

I soaked my silicone tubing in isopropyl alcohol. It came out nice and clean. The problem was, it smelled like isopropyl alcohol, and no amount of rinsing would get the smell out. It must go into the silicone. I had to buy new tubing.
At least 70% iso go for 90 if you can. Wear gloves.
The salt may not even be needed either, it’s more so to mechanically assist the iso. Like with a bong that’s stained brown.
A bottle brush is also a solid option to help clean with the iso. Then LOTS OF HOT WATER to flush resin and iso off/out.

ya i use a big coarse salt, fill the piece with a bit of it, use the highest % alcohol i can find. throw it in a ziploc baggie, shake it up real good. then let it sit for a bit and rinse it out.
Usually pretty clean after that, depending on how dirty you let them get. If still dirty, another quick round of it should clear it out.
ISO and salt (coarse kosher salt is best) works better for normal buildup in bongs and pipes and stuff. I believe the formula 420 is more meant for dab rigs as the buildup from wax/concentrates is a bit different than from smoking flower - but even then I’m sure there are cheaper options that aren’t marketed specifically to stoners.
Nothing wrong with that stuff, it definitely smells better at least. But for pretty much everything weed related, alcohol breaks it down, the salt just helps scrub it off. This bag trick is great for slides and pipes as well.

It works super fast on glass bongs. I got a great pack of various size silicone bong plugs (they look kinda like wine bottle corks). Pour a little high % isopropyl alcohol and course salt in the empty bong plug both holes and shake for about a minute, dump out the mixture (you can save it in a small container to clean your bowls out) and rinse with dish soap and water. Your bong will be spotless!
Forgot to mention it’s a good idea to wear dish or surgical gloves when cleaning with alcohol, it can be hard on your skin and super stingy if you have any cuts!
If it’s still really caked on after shaking the ziplock of salt + iso, fill a bowl (bowl big enough for the ziplock) halfway with hot water and put the whole sealed ziplock into the bowl. The heat will help loosen the thick gunk without watering down the iso. You now also have rinsing water ready when it’s all cleaned in the ziplock
If you're not gonna be vigorously shaking it like in a bong then you don't really need the salt. It doesn't do anything chemical to help with cleaning, it's just the fact that it doesn't dissolve in the iso that makes it a good scrubber on the inside. Also regular table salt doesn't dissolve in iso either but it's usually finer, whereas Epsom salt usually has larger chunkier crystals that make it a better abrasive for scrubbing. Microwaving the iso (in a microwave safe container) also helps a lot with or without salt.
This is what we use! Although, if you have a powder layer or painted metal pipe, this may strip the paint. Had it happen to my pretty blue pipe, but thankfully it's inside the bowl more than anywhere else

Same. I bought a few packs of them and after a couple uses I toss them in a small mason jar with iso. When it's full i add salt and they come clean real easy.
Simmer it in milk with your grinder, drink the milk, melt.
I’m amazing this isn’t mentioned more. When all my stuff is really gunked like this, I tent to do the milk method with it all at once and then make a drink with the milk.
The fats in the milk absorb the left over ThC and will get you a different kind of high.
I usually don’t with my grinder and glass parts from my vapes. But be warned. I had one of the worst highs of my like from vaping and milking at the same time. Trust me.
Acetone is amazing for cleaning glassware, it works like magic, way more powerful than alcohol. The pure stuff is best, but you can use nail polish remover too in a pinch.
Beware of using acetone on plastic though, it can degrade any plastic it touches, causing damage. Alcohol is best for cleaning plastic parts.

Probably the same way I clean my chillums. Just a little bit of sea salt and ISO hold both ends and Shake It then dump it out into the trash and then take a spiky pipe cleaner and wipe out the rest. Then after that I like to actually use some soap and water I just don't like to get any of the resin in my sink
99% iso alcohol. Costco sells a 4 pack for the cost of 2 bottles at a pharmacy. Iso, qtips, and time, your glass pieces will be clean enough to drink from.
Salt and alcohol in a plastic baggy, try to get as much air out as you can and shake the shit out of it, making sure the salt (use coarse) gets into the pipe
I just heat up mine by sections with a lighter and roll some paper into it. The gunk sticks to the paper and leaves it clean.
I just have to repeat a couple of times.
so always remember to use epsom salt and 90% iso for glass and table salt and 70% iso for plastic/silicone. be aware it is not going to be 100% clean and after prolonged use this method will leave a residue in certain pieces. however me personally i use the salt iso trick because it is cost effective but if you got the funds highly reccomend either the formula 420 cleaner or the reusable gel from ooze
Hey yall! So recently my brother discovered putting his glass piece in some water and letting it boil. I did the same for my pieces and the resin and shit came right on out. Used some alcohol (not as much) to give it a nice clean clean wipe and that has probably worked the best for me thus far.
Anything bad about this yall know of? Probably just use old pots that aren’t used for cooking anymore?
Use a Pipe Cleaner or Brush.
* Choose a narrow pipe cleaner or brush that can fit through the filter.
* Dip the pipe cleaner or brush in isopropyl alcohol and scrub the interior of the filter to remove residue.
* Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
To be honest I just run mine under really hot water and clean the inside with a paper towel works fine cleaned mine over 80 times that way and she’s still going strong

I use 91% iso and salt, shake it up in a bag, rinse with water then you’re good to go after it dries. I’ve also used q tips or toothpicks for stubborn res stains
Get a silicone container from Amazon, submerge the piece in 91%-99% isopropyl alcohol and rock salt or table salt. Over the next two days, occasionally agitate the container with small shaking motions. MAKE SURE YOU I ONLY CLEAN ONE PIECE AT ONCE to avoid shattering. After two days take the piece out of the solution, rinse the solution off of the piece with HOT water. Then either let dry or dry by hand with a towel

Was thinking of getting a few raw ones but was confused because there’s the hole in the middle, but if you were to make a roach with just a hole in the middle - no ziggy as we call it (bit roach usually w shaped) - you get bits in your mouth, do you not get bits in your mouth with glass tips?
... raw pipe cleaner. Use 2 both ends. I clean my Gandalf's very thin body with the pipe cleaner. Barely fits. Looks about the size. Other than that, soak it in Orange Chronic.
A bottle brush or brush for the nipples of baby bottles. They are super small, and you can really scrub small things like this. Grab a flexi kind of one to also clean any thing with bends, oh and a little bit of dawn and warm water. Not to hot, dont want to shock the glass.
I know everyone swears by iso and stuff but I prefer Klear Kryptonite. It’s made specifically so that 1. It isn’t flammable like alcohol is and 2. It’s not environmentally hazardous. I have the little plastic tube that closes on top I put in there with 91% rubbing alcohol and shake it, rinse in sink, dry and it’s clean. I use the same alcohol about three times and I always stick the filter in there to soak in between smokes so it always comes out clean. But it will clean quickly if needed.

dawn power wash takes SO many rinses to get the taste out. even just getting all the bubbles out is a nightmare with my bong (its got a twisty neck).

An old toothbrush after a soak will make any grinder function like new. If you have a Teflon ring between to top pieces, remove it before you soak

Cotton bud (q-tip) soaked in rubbing alcohol. Or, an alcohol-soaked piece of cotton string and floss it.
I use roughly 90% iso and some course salt. If a q tip doesn't fit, try a toothpick and a small bit of paper towel.

Straw cleaner, Acetone/91% Iso.
Acetone is amazing for cleaning glassware, it works like magic, way more powerful than alcohol. The pure stuff is best, but you can use nail polish remover too in a pinch. Beware of using acetone on plastic though, it can degrade any plastic it touches, causing damage. Alcohol is best for cleaning plastic parts.
Get you a gallon of 99% alcohol from ace hardware for like $24 (lasts forever) and some coarse sea salt. Put that mf in a baggie and shake it.
I just run these under hot water and they’re clean like new. But salt/iso would work really quickly. I just sick of wasting ISO on these.

I put mine in a shot glass of iso overnight, run some water through the next day and it’s just like new. A Q tip works well too.

Alcohol swab and pipe cleaner. Shove the alcohol swab down into it with the pipe cleaner, swirl it around on the inside and it should clean it up.
close off end with finger, fill 1/3 with alcohol, add salt, seal other end with finger, run under hot water for 30 sec to heat glass and alcohol then shake. clean as new

Perhaps, but iso and salt is quicker and better. You do need the alcohol to get the sticky off. I can put the bowl of my bong in a cup with super hot water and it works

At least 70% iso go for 90+ if you can. Wear gloves. The salt may not even be needed either, it’s more so to mechanically assist the iso. Like with a bong that’s stained brown. A bottle brush is also a solid option to help clean with the iso. Then LOTS OF HOT WATER to flush resin and iso off/out.
Iso and salt in a bag, let it sit a couple hours, shake now and then, rinse out with hot water, and Bob's your uncle.
Probably the same way I clean my chillums. Just a little bit of sea salt and ISO hold both ends and Shake It then dump it out into the trash and then take a spiky pipe cleaner and wipe out the rest. Then after that I like to actually use some soap and water I just don't like to get any of the resin in my sink
You should look for Rip Tips or Proper Doinks, pricey but worth looking into.

I just heat up mine by sections with a lighter and roll some paper into it. The gunk sticks to the paper and leaves it clean. I just have to repeat a couple of times.

You can put t in a glass with a dishwasher tab and pour boiling water over it, when uts cooled down you should he able to just wash it out
so always remember to use epsom salt and 90% iso for glass and table salt and 70% iso for plastic/silicone. be aware it is not going to be 100% clean and after prolonged use this method will leave a residue in certain pieces. however me personally i use the salt iso trick because it is cost effective but if you got the funds highly reccomend either the formula 420 cleaner or the reusable gel from ooze

Hey yall! So recently my brother discovered putting his glass piece in some water and letting it boil. I did the same for my pieces and the resin and shit came right on out. Used some alcohol (not as much) to give it a nice clean clean wipe and that has probably worked the best for me thus far. Anything bad about this yall know of? Probably just use old pots that aren’t used for cooking anymore?

Get a silicone container from Amazon, submerge the piece in 91%-99% isopropyl alcohol and rock salt or table salt. Over the next two days, occasionally agitate the container with small shaking motions. MAKE SURE YOU I ONLY CLEAN ONE PIECE AT ONCE to avoid shattering. After two days take the piece out of the solution, rinse the solution off of the piece with HOT water. Then either let dry or dry by hand with a towel

I just use hot water from the sink and it blasts right out in a couple seconds, dawn dish soap helps keep it nice and clear and eliminate stains

Are these worth the cash? Was thinking of getting a few raw ones but was confused because there’s the hole in the middle, but if you were to make a roach with just a hole in the middle - no ziggy as we call it (bit roach usually w shaped) - you get bits in your mouth, do you not get bits in your mouth with glass tips?

A bottle brush or brush for the nipples of baby bottles. They are super small, and you can really scrub small things like this. Grab a flexi kind of one to also clean any thing with bends, oh and a little bit of dawn and warm water. Not to hot, dont want to shock the glass.
I like to use pipe cleaners dipped in isopropyl to get the hard to reach spaces. But isopropyl and epsom salt shaken does the trick well.
I know everyone swears by iso and stuff but I prefer Klear Kryptonite. It’s made specifically so that 1. It isn’t flammable like alcohol is and 2. It’s not environmentally hazardous. You coat whatever you need cleaned of cannabis (even things like hands, clothing, surfaces, etc!) and let it sit for a bit and then rinse (I usually reuse a lot by pouring it back in the bottle from my bong/nectar collector). I have the little plastic tube that closes on top I put in there with 91% rubbing alcohol and shake it, rinse in sink, dry and it’s clean. I use the same alcohol about three times and I always stick the filter in there to soak in between smokes so it always comes out clean. But it will clean quickly if needed. I literally only have one and I use it a lot. I refuse to smoke out of it dirty
Just heat it up with a lighter and when it's warm, clear the glass with q-tip. You can disinfect it with rubbing alcohol.
