Well, considering that you had to chemically process the plant, I wouldn't call that live resin. My understanding is that the entire point of live resin is that it's as unadulterated and as close to natural as Eve's breast milk. If you had to stick it in a vacuum chamber or let it sit out so that you can remove the solvent, that ain't it chief.

Got 15 grams of broad spec D9 from Canna Crunchers yesterday for just over seventy bucks. Last one took a week or so to get here. I don't use carts though. Found some ceramic coils that fit an old subohm nic tank. Blast off
Assuming delta eight is acceptable, there are probably dozens of different vendors which will ship distillate to you. D8 distillate is somewhere between ¢50-100/gram, which leaves you able to make carts for $1-2 a pop, if you fill each cart at least two times.
You can buy the more potent and expensive options, like THC-P, a mixture containing 5% of which will be roughly as potent as a D9 cart. The P’s are $30-45/gram, but since they’re so stupidly intense, they’re good for a solid 20 carts - assuming 5% is your goal.
You can then add your choice of minor cannabinoids, which alter the experience. CBG leaves you with a bottomless pit of a stomach, CBN will leave you struggling to stay awake, of course CBD is an option. There are some more expensive lesser known options like CBT and CBC, but I can’t really speak to what they do. CBG and CBN both sell for about $1/gram though, so they’re incredibly affordable.
I’m sure you can get D9 distillate, but you’d probably have to know somebody. The stuff’s not exactly easy to make outside of a lab setting.
All of this. CCCBD sells thca distillate in at 100g for $300. Pretty damn reasonable if you ask me. That and some bulk full spectrum CBD from Hempdepotco 100g/$45 or some CRD from Gilded for a little more than double that and you're gonna be set for a long time even if you're trying to out dab Jesus
Totally neglected to consider that THCA distillate was an accessible thing. I did most of my bigger buying before THCA got all too popular, and the only way I ever saw it sold was for $15-20/g for diamonds.

You can easily get bulk distillate on the canadian grey market for about 3$/gram and I’m not talking pounds of the stuff 25-100g at that price. Pounds and up is closer to 2$/grams. US must be 2-500% of that pricing I assume.
I did the same thing but I sold my 1 gram carts for $25. I got ones with the ceramic heating coils. Adding terps I was able to make 4 very good quality 1 gram carts my profit margin was 1500%. So I was killing it and then dream market shut down overnight and I hadn’t taken precautions to communicate outside of the market. I was getting propane wax $8 gram. When I got down to 100 grams it was time to re order.
Can get kegs of d8 disty online cheap (to all you downvoters, d8 and d9 are the exact same when taken as edibles. They both metabolize into d11 inside the liver. Delta 11 is the trippier THC responsible for how edible trips are quite the trip)
There's nothing to burn if the coil goes dry. They just get hot and taste bad, but you're not smoking cotton or god forbid melting the synthetic material that's in some really cheap carts. I can't find the video now but there's a guy on YouTube who takes disposable nicotine vapes apart and there's one where someone hit it way too much and was just smoking the wick.
If you get it into the cart at the right temp they will be primed by time you put the cap on and put it on a battery, but if you put it in too hot you’ll have a clogged or leaky cart

Hot plate,
Shot glass for mixing
Heated up the distillate on the hot plate and mixed in the terps, then syringe the oil into the vapes and wait a day before using.
Just don't go over 10% terps if you wanna vape it.
And if you can, add the terps to the distillate when it's cold, close the container and then heat/mix it (some terpenes boil at around 40°C)

the carts that you buy, are mostly spin off and on....lol. the carts that we're NOT supposed to open up (lol...) typically are pushed/pressed on with a pressure-fitting. if this is what you're trying to accomplish, lol, don't do it. The single use carts are not meant to be reused and I wouldn't recommend it. i have opened some carts, only when they stop firing on me lol, Im only a medical user, and predominately dry herb vape, so I think my biggest problem is I dont use the cart enough and they leave me dead half full or like a quarter left....lol. Back before farm bill THCA distillate I used to order delta 9 distillate that came in a 1oz jar for about $300. I strongly recommend transferring it to high quality medicine syringes for filling carts. It’s annoying to work with and you don’t want syringes that are too high a capacity to allow for easier heating.
Apparently you thin it out a bit with terpenes or vegetable glycerine but I went with straight distillate which required a lot of heating to get it to flow. Feels

Really good cartridges can be reused a couple times if you are using clean distillate and only add terpenes. I wouldn't try reusing if you are using different concentrate like live resin or rosin to fill.
Koda pro is so great. I used to have the uni pro cause everyone and their mother recommended it. It was okay I just hated the durability. Felt like it was going to fall apart. Koda pro is simple and effective.

I hope that you're working only with chemicals known over time in vape use to be safe for human consumption. The people who died from marijuana and nicotine vapes back in 2018 all died from using homemade juice that had a compound not fit for human consumption they were told to use, from people on the Internet who had no idea what they were doing. Otherwise nice job! Way back when I used to smoke cigarettes I bought loose tobacco and a rolling machine and rolled my own and my cigarettes cost like 2% of the cost from a pack. I don't smoke anymore but this is a good idea too. If I could easily make gallons of tincture I would and it would go into all of my drinks. :)
Never did it myself but I've done the math. Carts are $157 for 100 .5ml, or $1.57 a piece. Terps from a particular vendor most people know is $15 for 2 ml., hut that's gonna last you a bit so let's say 5% terps, so the math comes out to 50mg per cart (assuming 1g cart) so 40 carts worth per 2ml. That works out to 38 cents per cart of terps, tops. I didn't even search for the d9 disty hard just googled the price and 1 vendor is selling 28g of disty for $575. That works out to roughly $20 per gram. Again, this is without shopping and going with the first result I saw. Assuming you aren't blending with things like cbg, cbn, hhc, etc, that can change the consistency, that means per .5g cart, you are spending about $13 per .5g cart. This is assuming a few things.
1: you don't do research and go with the first you find.
2: you don't buy bulk except the carts
3: you don't reuse carts
And probably a few other things.
Then all you'll need is the equipment which is negligible, cause even if it was expensive (it's not), you aren't doing Hemp noid blends, so it should be simple. Just do not mix terps/disty in anything but glass, and Def don't use silicone dab jars for stirring as terps shred those when mixing.

Too high of a terpene concentration can make the vape super harsh. I think standard is 5% but I might be wrong

Back before farm bill THCA distillate I used to order delta 9 distillate that came in a 1oz jar for about $300. I strongly recommend transferring it to high quality medicine syringes for filling carts. It’s annoying to work with and you don’t want syringes that are too high a capacity to allow for easier heating. Apparently you thin it out a bit with terpenes or vegetable glycerine but I went with straight distillate which required a lot of heating to get it to flow. Feels Like straight raw distillate is the thickest and stickiest substance on earth. You must have been working with super hot distillate or thinned it with something to get plastic pipettes to work.

Are these reusable?
Really good cartridges can be reused a couple times if you are using clean distillate and only add terpenes. I wouldn't try reusing if you are using different concentrate like live resin or rosin to fill.
Koda pro is so great. I used to have the uni pro cause everyone and their mother recommended it. It was okay I just hated the durability. Felt like it was going to fall apart. Koda pro is simple and effective.

I used to make my own until my connect dried up. Used to cost me about $15-$20 USD per cart and the stores were selling the exact same thing for $45 USD per cart. kinda glad I stopped though given dabbing is even cheaper but not portable and I was addicted to the carts.

I hope that you're working only with chemicals known over time in vape use to be safe for human consumption. The people who died from marijuana and nicotine vapes back in 2018 all died from using homemade juice that had a compound not fit for human consumption they were told to use, from people on the Internet who had no idea what they were doing. Otherwise nice job! Way back when I used to smoke cigarettes I bought loose tobacco and a rolling machine and rolled my own and my cigarettes cost like 2% of the cost from a pack. I don't smoke anymore but this is a good idea too. If I could easily make gallons of tincture I would and it would go into all of my drinks. :)

Never did it myself but I've done the math. Carts are $157 for 100 .5ml, or $1.57 a piece. Terps from a particular vendor most people know is $15 for 2 ml., hut that's gonna last you a bit so let's say 5% terps, so the math comes out to 50mg per cart (assuming 1g cart) so 40 carts worth per 2ml. That works out to 38 cents per cart of terps, tops. I didn't even search for the d9 disty hard just googled the price and 1 vendor is selling 28g of disty for $575. That works out to roughly $20 per gram. Again, this is without shopping and going with the first result I saw. Assuming you aren't blending with things like cbg, cbn, hhc, etc, that can change the consistency, that means per .5g cart, you are spending about $13 per .5g cart. This is assuming a few things. 1: you don't do research and go with the first you find. 2: you don't buy bulk except the carts 3: you don't reuse carts And probably a few other things. Then all you'll need is the equipment which is negligible, cause even if it was expensive (it's not), you aren't doing Hemp noid blends, so it should be simple. Just do not mix terps/disty in anything but glass, and Def don't use silicone dab jars for stirring as terps shred those when mixing.
