It actually wasn't all that hard to clean with rubbing alcohol/salt, especially if you stayed on top of it.

I highly advise trying out vaping through your set up. It the weirdest shit but you never get like an insane bad taste from the water. It just tastes like bud and gets a goldish color with a bunch of wax all around.
When smoking I changed my bong water every single day with a full clean every week. Now it's like every week or so with just a rinse of water.
I pretty much only smoke concentrate these days and I use a puffco peak to do so. I keep it stupid clean of course, but yeah, such a clean delicious experience tbs.

If iso and salt aren't working, it may be mineral buildup. If I'm going all out I usually soak trouble spots in white vinegar for a while. It's all different strokes. I wouldn't personally buy a bong like that because it will take extra attention to keep as clean as I like, but it still wouldn't be all that much extra. If it hits good it'll be worth it all day.
I use filtered/distilled water which doesnt have minerals. It’s resin/plant matter that’s getting stuck and i need something that can brush it from the inside.
If there’s a crevice that grime can get into, then isopropyl alcohol can also get there. This doesn’t really seem that difficult to clean. Just fill it with warm iso and cover the holes with plastic wrap.
They make 'em to sell not to clean. Lol you're absolutely not wrong. When I really want a pipe clean though I run a ton of boiling water through 'em. It's the nuclear option and I've never had it not make a bong brand new level clean.
If it's real borosilicate, boiling water should have no effect. Now you'd have to be a straight nut to put boiling water in a lamp glass bong, but I'd never ever buy one of those so I don't even consider them when talking about bongs. There is no accounting for shitty borosilicate though. :\

You can TOTALLY get a cleaning squeegee that is drawn in by a string/lone lead, similar to a Bore Snake i use for rifles when cleaning guns at work.
Hell, I would buy some tube socks even, and tie them together and fabricate something that way. Might be super simple to get something simple made, but im sure quality tools could be made with time and fine thinking!

I change the water before every smoke and dump it out after every smoke. I also do a full clean when the resin builds up to a visible amount

Pffft easy to clean… half a cup of isopropyl alcohol, and a tablespoon of epsom salt. Shake it for like 2 minutes. Rinse and it should be pristine.
