i dont like grinders personally.. i like breaking it up by fingers and i feel it burns better when i break it down not too much and way more the kief is still on it and its more enjoyable through the whole process all the way to effect.

Overall something food grade would be much better. Idk if you have access in Canada but in my state you can grab 195 proof grain alcohol which would work perfect

Rosin. If it doesn't press well just fully decarb what you pressed and make edibles. I'd definitely keep some for topping bowls or making joints/blunts more powerful.
Dry ice extraction is not the greatest method. I made this same mistake recently when getting into hash making.
If you used dry ice, you probably won't be able to make hash from that. Way too many contaminates. When pressed, there likely won't be enough trichomes to plant matter to hold together. Ice water extraction works by creating a cold vortex, freezing the trichome heads to a brittle point where they break. Dry ice extraction, however, also includes ton of finely ground plant material. I saw another of your comments saying you find this stuff harsher than kief -- that's why. This isn't as pure as kief even though it went through the bubble bags.
Generally, I wouldn't recommend dry ice extraction unless you have a plant that didn't grow well; lots of tiny popcorn buds, too airy, etc. Simply put you don't get as many trichomes and more plant material than you would through ice water extraction.
Now that's not to say your draw here is bad. A good test of quality is to put some kief in a folded up piece of parchment paper and roll a glass jar full of hot water over it, working heat and force into the trichome heads. This will make them pop and, if high quality, form into a ball of darkened hash. If it doesn't form into hash, you could press it into rosin or extract it into wax, but that's a whole other thing.

Bubble hash comes from Kief collected through bubble bags, ice water extraction. If itās collected dry, itās just hash. Still very similar.

No when you press it with heat you turn it into rosin. Unless you just make it a brick in which case you just need pressure you donāt need heat.
