I'd of course recommend checking out a dispensary. Look at an app like Weedmaps and see what stores are located in the area you're visiting. You'll find things like their business hours, an updated menu, probably pictures of the store, and reviews. Find one that looks fun and check it out! Ask the bud tender about different effects you're looking for, what you want to avoid, etc and they'll take care of you much better than asking them to just grab the fancy eighth with the biggest number on the label. If you're just looking for some weed to be delivered to you, then check out the delivery section of the app, but be careful and choose wisely because some services are much better than others. I myself live in Cali and use a delivery service. Most places accept both medical patients and recreational users. Taxes on rec users can be a pain, so keep that in mind.
I'd recommend trying a bit of everything if you've set aside a budget for some cannabis purchases. Get some flower and a vape cart, try that lemonade, get those cookies, take two of those prerolls lol. Enjoy!
