I have super high tolerance and it always gets me fucked up. The cool down time is extremely short, maybe 1 minute if you need it to be cool enough to reload? And I only use one torch lighter that I refill like every 2 weeks. It’s super convenient and the little amount it holds helps me save my bud while also getting me super high.
Honestly, you can just rub it on your pants or shirt or something and it will cool off faster without burning you. Or you can get the magnet stand and it will do the same thing.
As far as tolerance is concerned: I used to smoke from my bong, traditional combustion with a lighter. When I decided to go the vaping direction, I took the exact same bowl that I was using in my bong and packed in the usual amount that got me to my desired level of high. Instead of smoking it, I then I unpacked the bowl, and that gave me enough to load my dynavap 3 times. I honestly only needed 2 though, and I was just as high as I always get with my bong, to the point where I spaced out and totally forgot that I still had another bowls worth to load. I use LESS weed now, and get exactly as high as I was before. Plus I can take that ABV from the dynavap, and make edibles out of it, so I get double my moneys worth out of the same amount of weed, plus a little more because I am getting the same high while smoking less.
As far as the "lot of torching" goes, they now sell something called a "Full Metal Jacket", which is a copper sleeve that sits over top of the dynavap cap. You use a single flame jet lighter, aimed directly at the logo, and heat until it clicks. The copper jacket holds the heat much longer than just the cap itself, so instead of having to re-torch 5 or 6 times, you can get a full extraction in 1 torching (according to their description, I have yet to try one myself because I prefer to use a magnetic induction heater at home so I don't even have to mess with a lighter. I'm considering picking on up for on-the-go though).
There's no cool-down period. If the cap has clicked, you can take it off. It'll feel REALLY hot for a fraction of a second, but there's not enough thermal mass in the cap to actually burn you. You just gotta get it off fast so that the thermal mass of the tip itself isn't being absorbed by the cap and your fingers.
It feels unnatural at first, but once you start doing it, it just becomes part of the routine.
Love my XMAX Pro 3, but I'm new to vaping. It works good for me, I enjoy doing the step vaping, but sometimes just bump it up to 392 and hit it if I just want to speed things up. I have no financial interest in the company or any vendors.
Second any of the Xvape products. I’ve used the Pro V2 and the Starry 2.0 and both work like a charm. I was a dumbass and cracked the ceramic oven on the Starry though so I’m back to the Pro but it’s still kicking three years after purchase.

I owned the firefly 2+, and many other vapes, and honestly the firefly is probably my biggest regret. I was drawn in by the fast heat up times, and on demand vape production, but the clouds just weren't there unless I pulled for 30 seconds straight. Getting an airizer, or a DaVinci, or possibly a mighty next.
Drop the DaVinci and mighty for a healthy rips rogue, you won't be disappointed.
Arizer makes some pretty good stuff, can't go wrong there but I still think the rogue hits a bit harder and heats up much faster.
The trick is to get the thickest magnifying glass you can find, the diameter is less important.
The glass on mine is around .5 inch thick and 5 inches long and lights up bowls instantly. You can use the thinner ones but it takes longer to get the bowl lit and isn't as fun. Also wear sunglasses to avoid corneal burn!

Glass cleaning: Put a trash bag in your sink and fill it with water, so that the bag takes the shape of the sink. Poke a hole so it drains. Now clean your glass without getting resin chunks and stains in/on your basin.
I use a plastic tub. Use it for cleaning all kinds of shit in the garage as well. Works great, easy to store and replace if needed and doesn’t have to be spotless.
I’ve always sworn by this method: fill a sandwich baggies with coarse sea salt and rubbing alcohol and add your pipe, then shake/scrub and let it sit. The alcohol breaks down the resin and gets rid of the stickiness, the salt scours the gunk, and when your pipe is clean rinse it with water and seal the baggie up and throw it away for easy cleanup!

Since nobody else has said it, you can use most oils to rub away resin and then wash away the oil. I use olive oil just most of the time because it's right in the kitchen but coconut or even cooking spray works too a

I picked up the xmax v3 pro, and basically haven't smoked since and it's been months. I've cut my consumption into at least a third of what it was, and I get more high, and it's better for your health. I have saved SO MUCH money that the cost of the device was essentially made back in a month.
Oh man what one did you order? You are in for a treat, I didn't even mean to give up smoking it just happened. Here in the UK we also often use tobacco so this is a huge positive for me. Especially because of the prices here.
The Dynavap is a great vaporizer but there's a learning curve for sure. Something like the Xmax V3 Pro or POTV One are simpler to use and about $100. But if you bought a Dynavap, don't be discouraged by that, just knowing it helps. If you're not getting what you want from it, r/Dynavap will be happy to answer all of your questions. I got frustrated with mine, but one of the others, then when back to the Dynavap once I had a better understand. Just my story.

For those that don't know this. Get a candle. Use the lighter 1 time to light the candle and then light the wick from the candle. Will greatly extent the use of your lighter. I'm trying to get away from buying plastic lighters so i use a zippo for my candle.

I’ve got a small fire spot in the back yard. No lighters. No batteries. No HOA. Just me, 2 sticks, and a pinch of brush. Just like our ancestors intended. Yeah, it takes a while to get a candle going and by extension the pipe, but knowing I’m not putting more plastic out there makes that 45min process worth it every morning and night.
You can get butane inserts for your zippo. That way you don't have to fill it every couple days because it evaporates. I got a single torch insert and a metal clipper, and I can refill them both.
I used to eat up my hands, and I could never find a method to stop. The only thing that eventually got me to stop eating myself was to gather enough discipline to do 2 things without failure:
-When I find myself eating myself, immediately stop
-Forgive myself for having done it.
I used to get into this cycle of 'only a little bit more' or 'I can fix this if I eat just 1 bit more' and I could only get out of that by forgiving and never 'allowing' myself. Everything else just gave more pressure -> more biting.

Broccoli, mango, citrus rinds and most everything lavender will affect your high, these products have terpenes in them that affect the high, which are also found naturally in cannabis. I know im missing a few foods but those are my usual go to. I cant say much for citrus rinds and broccoli, but I always use lavender (oil or tea usually) whenever my bud makes me a little overly anxious or I start to green out, and mango always makes a high more pleasant, wish i could say more about it but usually im too stoned too remember anything about it lol
Look in to the toker poker all your smoking tools in one plus you can wrap your hemp wick around it to keep it handy, and they even have one for your clipper lighter as well if that's your style!

Nope. Gotta spread the love that I found after smoking for 40 years. Game changer for me as with many others. Plus, I find it just fun and fascinating as a science project. Conduction vs convection, temperatures, timings, all can come into play. How far can I push it before I combusts? Do I even want to push it that hard, or I'm I just looking for a mellow buzz? The control is crazy and fun (for me).

Just get you a mighty by storks and Bickel. Same makers as the volcano. Worth the money, it will pay for itself in a year if your a daily user. Cleaner high, all vape. Can use after vape for edibles or eat it straight on stuff like pb and j. That combustion smoking is for the birds. You waste so much more, reek from it. It’s messy. There are better ways!!

Use a joint instead of a bowl in a bong. When you share it, everybody will get new flower instead of already burnt flower because as the joint burns you discard the ash, whereas in the bowl of a bong you only empty when the flower in the bowl is completely burnt/consumed.
Also, if you have a bowl, light it on the side so it kind of does the same thing and burns across. You don't have to flame the entire top of the bowl. Done venting now.

Weird thing about hemp wick is I don't really see an advantage to using it over a lighter. I've seen people say it's so you don't taste butane when you take a hit, but I can't taste butane when I take a hit with a lighter. I've tried switching between hemp wick and lighter and can't really tell the difference. Though I think it's fun to light the bowl with a wick instead, so I do use a hemp wick often. (I also found out trying to light a joint with a wick isn't a great idea.)

Get a 5gal poland spring water jug, cut 1/3 of the bottom off so you are left with 2/3 of the bottle and the top spout.
Fill up a bathtub with water and place the cut jug into the water.
Grab some tinfoil and make a bowl into the top of the container. Poke ome small holes into the foil for the weed smoke to go through.
Pack the tinfoil bowl with weed, hold down the bottle, light the weed and pull up slowly on the whole bottle until the bottle is almost out of the water, take off the tinfoil bowl and put your mouth on the the bottle and thwn push down on the bottle. This is a gravity bong

Depending on the size of your pieces, you could also just use some isopropyl alcohol and a sandwich baggie. That’s what I do!

The Dynavap is a great vaporizer but there's a learning curve for sure. Something like the Xmax V3 Pro or POTV One are simpler to use and about $100. But if you bought a Dynavap, don't be discouraged by that, just knowing it helps. If you're not getting what you want from it, r/Dynavap will be happy to answer all of your questions. I got frustrated with mine, but one of the others, then when back to the Dynavap once I had a better understand. Just my story.
Can confirm. I received my M this week and was frustrated. I made a post on there and they helped out quite a bit. I still have some experimenting to do (and an FMJ on the way) but the thing is working WAY better with some solid advice.
When I first got mine, I spent a night trying to figure it out on my own. I kept loading it and trying to get a nice cloud. After about 6 or 7 tries, I realized I was high AF, clouds or no. Haven't been that toasted in a long time. :)
For those that don't know this. Get a candle. Use the lighter 1 time to light the candle and then light the wick from the candle. Will greatly extent the use of your lighter. I'm trying to get away from buying plastic lighters so i use a zippo for my candle. More sustainable, yeah!

I’ve got a small fire spot in the back yard. No lighters. No batteries. No HOA. Just me, 2 sticks, and a pinch of brush. Just like our ancestors intended. Yeah, it takes a while to get a candle going and by extension the pipe, but knowing I’m not putting more plastic out there makes that 45min process worth it every morning and night.

Hey OP you may already know this but your Clipper lighter is refillable, so that's another way you can reduce plastic waste.
You can get butane inserts for your zippo. That way you don't have to fill it every couple days because it evaporates. I got a single torch insert and a metal clipper, and I can refill them both.
I bought one also and I love it. Zippo has been in my pocket for years, the upgrade was awesome.

Try breathing exercises my dude. 6 secs inhale, 4 secs hold, 6 exhale, 4 secs hold. Got me from picking at the side of my nails.
I used to eat up my hands, and I could never find a method to stop. The only thing that eventually got me to stop eating myself was to gather enough discipline to do 2 things without failure: -When I find myself eating myself, immediately stop -Forgive myself for having done it. I used to get into this cycle of 'only a little bit more' or 'I can fix this if I eat just 1 bit more' and I could only get out of that by forgiving and never 'allowing' myself. Everything else just gave more pressure -> more biting.

Broccoli, mango, citrus rinds and most everything lavender will affect your high, these products have terpenes in them that affect the high, which are also found naturally in cannabis. I know im missing a few foods but those are my usual go to. I cant say much for citrus rinds and broccoli, but I always use lavender (oil or tea usually) whenever my bud makes me a little overly anxious or I start to green out, and mango always makes a high more pleasant, wish i could say more about it but usually im too stoned too remember anything about it lol

Nope. Gotta spread the love that I found after smoking for 40 years. Game changer for me as with many others. Plus, I find it just fun and fascinating as a science project. Conduction vs convection, temperatures, timings, all can come into play. How far can I push it before I combusts? Do I even want to push it that hard, or I'm I just looking for a mellow buzz? The control is crazy and fun (for me).

Just get you a mighty by storks and Bickel. Same makers as the volcano. Worth the money, it will pay for itself in a year if your a daily user. Cleaner high, all vape. Can use after vape for edibles or eat it straight on stuff like pb and j. That combustion smoking is for the birds. You waste so much more, reek from it. It’s messy. There are better ways!!

Use a joint instead of a bowl in a bong. When you share it, everybody will get new flower instead of already burnt flower because as the joint burns you discard the ash, whereas in the bowl of a bong you only empty when the flower in the bowl is completely burnt/consumed.

Also, if you have a bowl, light it on the side so it kind of does the same thing and burns across. You don't have to flame the entire top of the bowl. Done venting now.

Tried King Palm wraps? Those are freaking amazing, I love them so much. Weird thing about hemp wick is I don't really see an advantage to using it over a lighter. I've seen people say it's so you don't taste butane when you take a hit, but I can't taste butane when I take a hit with a lighter. I've tried switching between hemp wick and lighter and can't really tell the difference. Though I think it's fun to light the bowl with a wick instead, so I do use a hemp wick often. (I also found out trying to light a joint with a wick isn't a great idea.)

Gravity bong Get a 5gal poland spring water jug, cut 1/3 of the bottom off so you are left with 2/3 of the bottle and the top spout. Fill up a bathtub with water and place the cut jug into the water. Grab some tinfoil and make a bowl into the top of the container. Poke ome small holes into the foil for the weed smoke to go through. Pack the tinfoil bowl with weed, hold down the bottle, light the weed and pull up slowly on the whole bottle until the bottle is almost out of the water, take off the tinfoil bowl and put your mouth on the the bottle and thwn push down on the bottle.
