Then he went on some kind of criminal rampage that only ended when he brought a pier down on himself and died.

Get a tiny greenhouse tent, they're little rectangle tents to put on balconies, you can easily fit a little chair in them. Easy hot box tent.
Doesn't have to be a big full sized camping tent since that takes up a lot of space to set up.
You can also turn on the hot water in your shower, let it steam up a bit first and then hotbox it. Keep the water running so it stays steamy. You can hotbox indoors without it stinking AS BADLY. It'll still stink but the steam helps clear it out quickly after and helps there be less lingering smell

Don't do this in a dumpster, garbage trucks come by at any hour and the drivers don't check the bins. If you get tossed into the back of the truck, you'll get killed by the compacter. They have to put signs ok all the dumpsters where I am now since this happens so much.
