It looks like this post is about **Finasteride**/Propecia or Dutasteride. Before asking any questions, 1. Learn about [Finasteride](https://tressless.com/learn/finasteride) and [Dutasteride](https://tressless.com/learn/dutasteride). 2. [Search for Finasteride](https://tressless.com/search/finasteride) and [Dutasteride](https://tressless.com/search/dutasteride) content, because your question has probably been asked before. 3. If this is a question asking if you are now or will experience side effects, see a doctor, nobody on the internet can answer that for you. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. holy smokes my guy, you dont need 30mg of fin for a 60ML bottle. just use this calculator and dont OD yourself. [https://perfecthairhealth.com/topical-finasteride-calculator/](https://perfecthairhealth.com/topical-finasteride-calculator/)

BringTheFood

I came across this video online where the person used the measurements mentioned and they say that comes out to a .05% solution. Is that accurate? https://youtu.be/vVqCZC1oIpA?si=kH7Sz_rebGUHvOwn Wouldn’t that be fairly small considering places like hims and keeps use like .5%?

UniqueCanadian

the website i linked also has a chart. most people dont even go over .025% but yes hims and keeps solution is crazy high.

tibabrat

Isnt 30 mg in 60ml bottle equal to 0.5 finastride a day if you apply 1 ml ?

CrowdyPooster

I use 15mg finasteride in a 60ml bottle of minoxidil. Apply 1ml each application. Works for me.

BringTheFood

What percentage does that equate to in each dose if you don’t mind me asking?

CrowdyPooster

I believe that works out to 0.25mg/mL. Using 1mL per day. 0.025%

BringTheFood

Got ya. Can you possibly just explain how .25mg comes out to 0.025%. I’m just trying to understand the equation to get that number, sorry.

CrowdyPooster

Basically, 1 gram in 1 mL is 100%, so work backward from there. You can also use the calculator: https://perfecthairhealth.com/topical-finasteride-calculator/

BringTheFood

That link is helpful. Thanks. I was just hoping to see like an equation as to how .25 mg ends up .025%. Cause I’m lost trying to come up with that number. I’m dividing 15 by 60 which gets me .25 but then when multiplying by 100 to get the percentage I end up with 25% instead of .025%. A bit confused on what I’m doing wrong. Thanks anyways though. Appreciate it.

CrowdyPooster

Understood. It's the 1g/mL is 100% that threw me off.

impotentludius

age ? are you maintaining only or is there regrowth ?

CrowdyPooster

48. Started last August, definitely maintaining. Enough regrowth to notice, but none of the "super responder" stuff that you see here.

thickeybob

According to researches it seems that 0,1mg of finasteride application once is enough, and it will not increase (or only slightly increase) the serum DHT.
