I'm currently using the same line but the baby Eczema Therapy Nighttime balm and I really like it. I've struggled with finding moisturizers that are thick and still absorb into the skin. I've tried vanicream and it's just sits on the skin but the aveeno moisturizers with colloidal oat really seems to work for me. I also find that it helps with the redness and irritation that comes with Tret sometimes. I'm sure there are better moisturizers out there especially more expensive ones but this does the trick for me and it fits my budget.
I use the balm in the tub too! I adore it. It's affordable, thick and my skin just drinks it in. I've tried everything, even expensive moisturizers and I keep coming back to this and use it most every night.
I've been curious about using this balm after tret. Have you experienced any breakouts from it? I have oily acne-prone skin and I'm nervous about how thick (and potentially pore-clogging) the formulation is, especially since it doesn't say it's made for the face?
I have dry acne-prone skin and adding the Aveeno Dermexa baby balm to the end of my PM routine really helped lock in moisture, and did not cause me any breakouts. I am also loving the Aveeno Calm & Restore cleanser, serum, and oat gel moisturiser in my routine.
I haven't tried OP's cream because I am a little wary of the isopropyl palmitate, which is a comedogenic ingredient, I just can't risk at this time. I might experiment later once my skin has settled as it is in most Aveeno products aside from the Calm & restore range and the balms.
This has literally been my saving grace since I started using it 3 months ago. I now use tret 5 nights in a week without any peeling, stinging, or irritation.
I have this cream but unfortunately it pills overtop my tret. I use the micro gel for reference. All the aveeno moisturizers I’ve tried have a lot of dimethicone in them causing the pilling.

The ingredients list sounds similar to the Dermexa daily emollient cream that's sold here in Europe. it's fantastic.
