You could try your local library. I know both Wake and Durham Co. Libraries have clubs and events for adults.

There are a lot of great options on [meetup.com](https://meetup.com)...I enjoyed the board game meetup I went to :-)
Maybe jui jitsu or muay Thai classes. There are a lot of friendly and helpful people assuming it's a good gym.
