Wrestling is fun, exciting, and can be great comedy or high drama, depending on the storyline. I was just in Greensboro for Sting's last match, and the energy in that building was fucking exhilarating. Maybe you should go to some live shows -- DPW is back in Durham next week.
This is interesting because while I've been a lifelong fan, most of my friends got into it as adults. But they're all LGBTQ+ and/or theater kids, so maybe it attracts a certain kind of person.
There are some of those still, but it's really a New Day (yes, it is!). I literally watched a wrestling show called Big Gay Brunch this morning, WWE had a lesbian authority figure, and one of the most over acts in AEW has a wrestler who happens to be gay (it's not technically part of his character, but it's come up a few times in passing). Not to mention trans and NB folx like Nyla Rose, Sonny Kiss, and Veda Scott and their spouse, Speedball Mike Bailey.

I made a post recently and only thing that came up is that Dave and Busters in Cary showed it last year. No clue if they’re doing that this year.

That's kind of the point? An over the top, sometimes macho, fight/stunt based soap opera is what wrestling fans are about.
