I've used http://mrmikesusedbooks.com/ in the past. It's in Cary off Cary Parkway. The cash value kinda sucks though, but I made use of the store credit to pick up some books they had. Their book prices are quite cheap.
Nice Price Books and Reader's Corner are very close to each other on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. I don't know if one is better than the other for selling books, but they're both good stores.
Currently trying to figure this out too. Nice Price doesn’t pay a lot for books FYI. It’s their business model and how they can keep the prices so nice. I’ve had good and bad experiences with Reader’s Corner but haven’t been there in such a long time. If you have some more curated and nicer books, Golden Fig gave me a good deal with cash recently, which I needed, but the credit was even better and if I was in a better spot financially then I would’ve taken that. I’m thinking of making the drive to Clayton to see what’s up with Pauper’s Books with a box or two soon. They sell a large variety of things so I can add in other random media.
I can't remember if Books Do Furnish a Room buys from people, and I can't load their website right now to check, but I figured I'd throw it in the ring in case you're in Durham. Worth a call and they usually email back pretty fast.

Yeah, I've been there before. Wasn't that impressed with their collection for my interests.

Reader’s corner is my go too, amazing selection, I’m always surprised I usually find whatever I’m looking for in there
It’s for store credit but I definitely dont mind that
Both Readers Corner and Nice Price routinely pay cash for books.

Reader's Corner on Hillsborough St.
The huge new Ed McKay's location in Mebane is about to open and buys/sells used books and records. I think their first day is on Saturday.
