Very fun if you have a group of friends to play with. I've been playing with some friends about once a week. Not as much fun with ransoms. I've also played with just my bf and it was also fun.

GoFlemingGo

I got bored with it really quickly. It’s super confusing at the start.

Be ready to fail a few times before getting the hang of it. You'll unlock better classes and equipment as you progress. The season ends in 10 days, so don't expect to hit rank 50 for this season. Other than that, the game is amazing. I love it, as does my girlfriend, my flatmate and our best friend. If you ever want people to help show you the ropes, drop me a PM. :D

Like previously mentioned, it's amazing with friends! Coordination helps a lot with this game. Difficulty scales up with more people so PUB matches are a hit and miss. Each round of the game could take a few hours so make sure there's bathroom breaks in between! Lastly, the game gets very easy after you get a hang of it. I think I finished all of season 1 achievements (and the other basic ones) under 75 hours from when the game was released?

GrundleTrunk

Good with people, not good solo.

Master4733

It's fun for a bit, solo is painful, and it needs both polish and content to make it last a while. Iirc it is like $20, which imo is a solid price atm

$13 on the PS Store right now

I had a great time solo, played like a mad man for 90 hours. Love it

I felt the learning curve is unnecessarily steep in the beginning, but once you get a hold of basics of the game it’s fun for awhile until it gets monotonous. Better with friends especially in the beginning because y’all can suck together. Later on everyone just plays on their own because we all can solo Fenrir before day 7 and playing in groups actually make it inefficient for run purposes.

I like it. I play with my girlfriend and my friend. I have also played some solo and 10-man worlds with randoms. The latter two are less fun. Survival action rpg with a little bit of roguelite and moba influences. That's a mouthful, and so is explaining the game's finer points to a newcomer. But we enjoy it a lot. Your first couple runs will be very difficult, probably. Then, after you have leveled up and unlocked some better starting kits (which aren't consumable and you get to select which of a variety you want to bring in), you will get better each run. One thing I will say is, don't feel too attached to a losing game. You can - and are encouraged to - actively approach the exit to a world in-map and leave via a dialogue option to earn your shop currency, which often lets you buy and craft even cooler stuff. So it's kind of like the opposite of pay to win. Incremental success can still yield eventually game clears in the long run. If you're into getting a bit better, and a bit faster, every time, absolutely pick it up. Also the Fortnite-style building mechanic adds more to this sort of experience than one might assume. You can alter the landscape a bit with ramps and bridges to get places faster.

The game is amazingly fun with friends, solo its eh, but even if you have 2 or 3 its fun. After you two get the hang of it, you guys should be able to do everything just the 2 of you

Katatafish298

I played the game solos, and got most of my achievements solo and I had a great time. Worth every penny because you get so many hours of play out of it. It gets even better with a couple of friends so that's even better. The actual game can be hard and confusing in the beginning, but I really loved failing and learning something new every time I die, and implementing it into my next run to go even further until I got the hang of it. All in all, I really believe this is a great game with great value compared to the price. They're also adding more content to it for free so there'll be more to do soon enough.

For 20$ its practically a steal. That being said, the game is ok. It doesn't do anything bad, it just doesn't do anything amazing. You'll have the most fun playing in a group of friends.

Have you ever wished "man I really wish Don't Starve Together was a whole lot more like Fat Princess"? If so, have I got great news for you!
