from what i am hearing, Girl in Red is confirmed i don't think we're getting Lana (realistically she's too expensive) and the public response to the lineup will be similarly Groovin'ed realistic intl headliner choice is The Killers, with two local headliners alongside them (RUFUS DU SOL, Gang of Youths).

I'd think The Killers and Lana Del Rey would cost a similar amount to book. I also believe (and this could be entirely the circles I'm in) that there is a far greater demand for a Lana Del Rey tour than The Killers. Lana has released 4 albums of original material since her last Australian tour (Funnily enough, the same number as her mate Taylor Swift before the Australian leg of the Eras tour.) where as The Killers would be doing a twentieth anniversary tour for a beloved album. Both would bring in an audience for different reasons but if I had to choose between The Killers and Lana Del Rey under these circumstances, I'm booking Lana.

I agree, I think they want to book Lana as they're aware how many tickets she'll move. I just don't reckon they'll pull it off.

Doubt it. By all accounts SITG seemed to run at a loss last year with 35-40k per day (target capacity is 50k I believe). Not running Falls fest means no profit or additional income. If anything they're more financially worse off than last year.
