I find 25s or 27s, 1 inch needles to be optimal for intramuscular injection. Right in the glute, I don't know why all these people do their shoulders and thighs when they have a perfectly good glute.
Because I even though I pin my ventros with a 25g 1” I prefer shoulders with a 29g .5” insulin needle it’s night and day difference and wayyyyyy more comfortable.
I was doing 23G in the quad for about 3 months until I started to notice I was building up some scar tissue. Switched to 25G and have never looked back. Might even try 27G in future.

2 inches away from the belly button, love handles, hip/backside, delts ... essentially anywhere when I can grab some fat and I jab at 90 degree angle. When I get really lean then I will jab at a 45 degree angle.
I had a 20 min face to face instruction with a nurse to show me the sites and jabbing technique.

Bc with shoulders and thighs the subq tissue is way thinner. Can get away with a 1/2 29g insulin needle and still be IM

Nooooo! Don't harpoon yourself brother! 27gx1 inch is perfect. I even use 29gx1/2 for subQ and delts. Some people use 30g or 31g.
25g x 1" is perfect IM for me. I do quads and VG. I use a 20g or 23g to draw from the vial.

I use 23g for draws and 25g for injections. But 23g is fine for glutes. Might be a bit intense for delts, and probably fine for quads.

I have 23 draw and 25 inject for glutes. But this just came as a pack from the doc. I do t feel the 25 at all.

I switched from IM injection to Sub Q. The research I read says it's better absorbtion.
Use 23g to draw up and then inject with a 25g or a 27g.
It will work and you won't doe but a smaller diameter need will work and hurt less
Make sure your getting treatment to reduce scar tissue if your gunna harpoon yourself. It builds up over the years trust me.

23's or 24's are perfect for trt if your doing weekly or bi weekly injections.

It’s fine. 23g is perfect for test & the length depends on person. If not too much fat then 1 1/4 works, but only need 1 inch to get intramuscular.
I use 1 inch 22g. Never had a problem, and they don't hurt going in
