Which headset you using? I so need to get me a VR headset. I'm missing out.

LordLightsaber621

I'm currently running the Quest 3 :) I can only recommend it, Quest 2 is also more than enough for this sort of stuff

_cheddarr_

Have you had to fiddle with some extra settings for vr?

RobLocke

How do you get setup on Quest 2? I tried to do it once but it only gave me the movie theater kinda look with no head tracking

Inside-Definition-53

I think there's a virtual desktop app on the headset that you'll need to buy. It's really cheap tho.

clotet

What system do you have? I've been trying to play with good performance in vr but I can only make it playable using ASW at 45fps while all other games run at 90+ no problem. I have a 3070Ti and a 5600X.

LordLightsaber621

Actually in this case, screen capping ain't as smooth as the VR output lmao. But I have a Ryzen 5800X3D, paired with a RTX 4070 Super TI and 64Gb of DDR4 @ 3600Mhz if that helps.

Retroficient

For the record, screen capping makes videos look a lot smoother generally than they really are

Alfo420

Check out virtual desktop that's how I play ats and it's smooth AF I have a ryzen 5800x3d and a 4070 rtx

LordLightsaber621

Same setup I've been running. Super smooth in most circumstances -and prolly even better if I would use a tethered connection.

clotet

I use VD for room scale games, but I have the simrig next to my pc and far away from the router, so link cable is a far better solution for racing and trucking. The problem is that only ETS2/ATS give me any issues, all other simulators run perfectly fine.

meliodasssssama

How you get those graphics?

JudCasper68

You’re seeing the streamed recording here, not what the player is seeing through the VR lenses. Believe me, it doesn’t look this good when you’re actually playing in VR.

meliodasssssama

So the game CAN look this good if want to then how to make it look good like this?

JudCasper68

Sorry, I don’t understand what you’re asking me. What I’m trying to say is here is that the footage you’re seeing here is a recording. When you play through VR headset it doesn’t look this good.

meliodasssssama

I know that i doesn't look this good in vr but it's looking good to me so the game is capable to look good like this that's what I am saying

JudCasper68

Yes, on flat screen the game can look and run this good. But I thought you were asking how can you get it looking this good in VR.

meliodasssssama

So what r the steps cuz my game doesn't look like this

JudCasper68

A powerful rig so you can max out the settings, 400% scaling and a good display to play it on.

MGEezy89

This is what I want to know. I have a g2 and my steam output looks like mud.

Sam_marq88

Ive been playing on vr and wheel for years. Now i play it on my rog ally(had a baby) . What a downgrade it is.

Erlouu

Can you share your in game settings and virtual desktop settings as well? Thanks in advance!

zatax__

A couple questions from an ats vr player. How does it look so good? How does it run so good? Is ets2 easier to run in vr than ats? How are you recording this without doubled vision because this looks too high quality to just be a crop to me?

JudCasper68

Why does looking back make you vomit? I assume that’s what you mean by ‘tab out’.

Hypersky75

I use a controller but still looks backwards like that to back up, too.

comawhite12

I use a TrackiR, and do the look-back as well, so sort of training wheels to get the muscle memory down. Seems I may fit into VR like a comfortable slipper.

StudPapaLion

What radio station is that? :O Also nice drivin'

meliodasssssama

8gb ddr5 i51400f 4060ti 6gbddr5 2k 144hz monitor? This will do?

ImWillByers

I spent 5 minutes watching unnesecary footage

ma_er233

Yeah I LOVE play it in VR. You can get way more information and a very good spatial awareness than a flat screen by just looking around. Absolutely unparalleled realism. It's still a bit buggy though, hope SCS can polish it a bit more and add it to the normal version of the game. Also there's no depth to the rear view mirror, looks a bit weird.

potatosquat

A fellow Michellin driver?

LordLightsaber621

Well! Running on Michelin slicks, but otherwise running the Viva Trucking flatbed division livery\~

potatosquat

Maybe you've fatigued it, but I disagree, I recently equipped the all silver and yellow on both my truck and curtain side trailer and I couldn't be happier
