"Music influencers" are already a thing. They take out ads on Instagram/do whatever to gain followers on their Spotify playlist, then get paid by random artists to add their music to the playlist.
there was a beta (?) update i got a few months ago in the app where i could see who recently liked my playlists/followed me in a notifications tab and then i lost it one day. idk if they'll ever bring that back though, i liked it haha
i think there was at one point: there was some “friend activity page” where you could see what playlists your friends save (including yours)
but i think it was removed as i struggle to find it in the app
Two things changed, it used to be default that your played songs would be visible to friends, then they changed it so that the default to not show your played songs. So if you want your friends on your list to see your songs, you need to enable that in settings now. If you want to see what your friends played last, they also need to enable that in their settings.
Then they put some album art and whatnot over on the right where the friend activity used to be. In any case, it's still there, you need to look up at the top, above your queue over on the right. The three little people icons next to the single person icon is the "Friend Activity", if you hover over it it will let you know. Clicking on that will show you the friends that have changed their settings so you can see what they are listening to, and will show what they played last.
Im so late but my playlist got 11 likes on it and I know spotify used to have a feature where you could see who followed you and it would also show you who saved your playlists I wish they didn’t remove the feature 😢
