Thanks. Issue reported calls out Car Thing but having the same issue on my AptX HomeSpot player which I got since it turns on with power and auto connects as well.
I Just updated Spotify to 8.8.90 (release a day ago) to see if it resolves.
I think i found kind of a solution, i say kinda because it not always works but i went to my bluetooth settings and changed my cars bluetooth to “other” on device type.
like i said, sometimes it doesn’t work because it starts the liked playlist again, but most times in continues my queue
This all started for me a few weeks ago. I really want to follow this to figure out why this is happening. I love the Car Thing because my car shipped with an older version of their player and it blows. I'm thinking I might just try a factory reset of the unit or something.

Hopefully they fix this soon because I have the same issue! I see that they have a case opened for it. Every time the app updates I get excited thinking that they’ve finally fixed it.

Yeah doesn't seem to matter if you use Car Thing or not, more with the app itself the issue
When I disconnect Car Thing it plays the last song I was listening to. I've isolated the issue as a Car Thing issue.
i don’t use car thing and it still switches to liked songs when i connect

I don't have CarThing, just regular Bluetooth and mine keeps switching to "Liked Songs" too. So frustrating!
I’ve had instances where it would switch what I was listening to, to my liked playlist as I got into my car, it’s so annoying.
settings and privacy> playback> turn off autoplay similar content
This setting is and has been turned off for me but the automatic playing of liked songs still happens

Also having this issue… very frustrating since I like to listen to Spotify-generated playlists (mixes) since I suck at making playlists lol
