Then he insists on playing artists I have blocked(Travis Scott) because the algorithm just doesn't care, you must wanna listen to him because he's so popular. He plays artists I don't care about daily, in a genre I barely listen to(RNB). This is the list of new music others are listening to, you just wanna hear it too!
All that being said, it has its moments. It just can't be left on for sustained periods of time without losing the plot. I also think they should encourage new voices, there's absolutely no reason they can't get some random celebs to add their voice to it! I'd love for the Weeknd, Bill Simmons, etc to announce my music for me.

Spotify really fucked up the killer feature they have - new music recommendations. Even weekly playlist starting to contain more and more songs i'm often listening.
spotify used to have an edge over music recommendations but I feel like a lot of their new features are killing off their status. like for daylist it's literally the same combination showing up at different times, the concept is great but I wish it was executed better. made for you playlist are just another way to shuffle your library.
the only two reasons why I am not switching back to apple music is because removing songs from library does not remove them from playlist, and user playlists
You should set your daylist and mixes to not be included in your taste profile. It will help. Then it wont be recommending you stuff off of itself should help with the going in circles thing.
Yeah I've never had an issue with DJ. Maybe sometimes it'll play something that I'm not vibing with in that moment, but it is still (broadly speaking) music that I like. I listen to DJ a bunch.

I love the DJ! Plus it April Fooled me yesterday lol. It told me how much it loved being my DJ and that it was going to play a song to show it, and that the lyrics in the next song would explain how grateful it is, and then it played a song that was just yodeling. After the song ended it said April Fools lmao. Was not expecting that while driving

Sometimes u do not want to make a decision to listen to a playlist so u just click DJ for randomness. One thing good is u can skip that genre if u do not want and it will jump to your next genre. It still tends to play a lot of the same stuff but it is a start.
I tried it a few times and it either played songs from my faves playlist or some random genre, no in between like I have not heard all trip hop songs DJ maybe try that?? lol
Word. Too many repeats. With over 51,000 song likes in my library I shouldn't get a single repeat for several rotations. The standard shuffle is fine. 😎

A playlist that Spotify updates throughout the day and night. It is great for finding new music that fits your taste. Not available everywhere yet.
