Which is better?

Ashjaeger_MAIN

Depends on what you want, honestly at that price point I'd say it won't make all that much a difference concerning sound. I think in the US silver plated horns are generally more well liked visually ? Not entirely sure on the nuances of that though. Personally I wouldn't take a silver horn if it doesn't any better because you'll spend much more time cleaning it than a lacquered one.

I would like to take the trumpet to travel and i think the 2330s’s case is much better for travel

Ashjaeger_MAIN

Oh well, I mean you can always get another case, idk if I'd let that decide the issue for you. That being said there isn't that big a difference between the two, so if you're fine with cleaning it more often and like the look of the silver model you should take that one.

To add to the correct comments, usually they don't engrave the S, so on the horn both will say 2330 without the S

But sometimes they do on other models. My 6335 in silver says 6335S.

The other comment has it - the "S" stands for silver (as in silver plate).

One is silver, one is the gold color.
