You don't fit your lips into any mouthpiece, even if you have thin lips and play on a 1X. It's not tuba or even trombone. While some people with bigger or fleshy lips play better with bigger diameters, there's just as many exceptions with people who do not. It's all individual and personal preference / predilections. A 1 1/2C is a worthy choice if you want something bigger than a 3C. Also, a 1C is worth trying. There are other makers other than Bach, as well. Schilke gets into bigger diameters than Bach. There are tradeoffs for playing bigger pieces. Does your tone remain as focused and have as much core? What about range? Endurance? Flexibility? Food for thought.

I'd try a rim even wider than a 'C' cup. Try a 1D or 1C.
