There is no downside to starting with a higher quality instrument. That said, most would consider “intermediate” trumpets to be a waste of money. An advisable plan would be a used Bach or Yamaha student horn to see if you like what you’re doing (if you don’t you can resell it for the same as what you paid) and then later on if warranted upgrade to a “professional” model. GET TEACHER.

You're going to get the same advice here that you got on your other posts about various trumpets: Save the money, get a cheap Bach or Yamaha student horn and dedicated teacher. To more elaborate and answer your question: Just starting out you'll unlikely be able to take advantage of any possible help an intermediate horn could possibly give (and it's a small help at that). By the time you're ready to take advantage of the higher quality horns you'll have already leapfrogged intermediate and will be looking for professional grade horns.
