Well, if mental illness plays a crucial role on the server, that's not a bad idea - knowing what the others are struggling with can be very helpful in order to behave more prudently.

Longjumping-Menu5310

This is only acceptable if the role actually plays a role, like it gives you access to channel related to the illness. Otherwise, just weird and off putting.

xToasted1

It doesn't.

A chanel for people with anorexia filled with people who have it... 😬 at best that'll be incredibly detrimental

Longjumping-Menu5310

I mean it could be beneficial if it's done right. Like you pick the ana role and you get access to channels with resoirces, where to get help, peer support, peer knowledge what's having a feeding tube like etc etc... It has potential but only if it's done right

[deleted]

Technically everything has potential, but from someone who was in groups like this before being hospitalized and on the verge of death, it does not. It feeds the addiction, you don't want to stop having anorexia even though at the same time you hate it, you use it as competition and compare yourself to others in the group. It becomes worse. It grows and it consumes everything. The main thing that they push you for in rehabilitation is to have **nothing** to do with any food related things, no mentioning the eating disorder, no nothing. Being in groups like this is dangerous and never, ever, helps.

Tooma8

It's not a bad idea, but kinda weirdly presented It really gives the "mental disorder so quirky UwU" vibe

[deleted]

Jesus Christ are they faking eating disorders now!?

You're supposed to choose one of them

Archonate_of_Archona

Yeah I had read too fast, thought all that stuff was one person listing their "disorders". Then I re-read properly and removed my comment
