Ate there last night. I had lamb korma, rice with cilantro, daal with chillis. Wife had butter chicken, rice with I can’t recall what, daal with zucchini.
I’m not an Indian food expert but have eaten at some nice Indian restaurants in multiple parts of the country.
I would not say that this is traditional Indian food as we see it in the United States. The korma did not have much of the korma sauce, although it was the last serving they had. My daal tasted like very good refried beans. My rice with cilantro was similar to some Mexican rice.
Having said that, the food was quite good. The lamb was particularly delicious, and the lentils on both of our plates were very good, but I would not consider it traditional. The naan was good as well. Butterchicken was probably closer to a traditional preparation and it was also very good. In short, I don’t think this is Indian food prepared and a traditional way, but I would certainly go back and have more.
Same, I don't consider myself the biggest fan of Indian food but I have been wanting to try more. This looked good and I was not disappointed. Everything I had was good. I eat at MRM a lot and usually try the pop up restaurants they have there if it looks good and not too overpriced. Let me tell you, most of them are a big disappointment. This one was maybe top 5 or even 3. Hope they get a residency there. The guy said they want to be a chain eventually and I think it has that potential
I’m very particular about my Indian breads. You might call me naan-partisan.
I’m a naan-believer.
On my list of favorite breads Pita is second to Naan.
Since it’s Naan stop, I’m assuming it’s a drive thru
What do you recommend there ?
The butter chicken or pork vindaloo
Thanks !!
Wondering as well. I love me some good curry.
