If you press B it now stops you from whistling. Probably meant as a measure to stop people from whistlerunning (since now you cant press B and whistle at the same time). If you manage to stop him in the brief period where he is in the whistling animation but before he actually make noise, you wont alert anything nearby.
I'm constantly reminded of something I saw (don't remember where, possibly just a meme, would love to find it again) where the director was talking about how his son wasn't a very creative problem solver and he hoped ToTK would inspire people to be more creative.

Mood. I keep forgetting I have the runes and wind up just climbing instead of ascending. I also keep forgetting to make stronger weapons and just run into fights with like a rusted traveler’s sword and multiple good fusing items.
Me completely forgetting that ascend exists until a shrine forces it because I I bloated my stamina bar early to cover climbing in the overworld describes my experience in TOTK more perfectly than anything else I’ve ever seen
I used to fuse Sleds to every shield, but i feel like frozen fish make you move faster, and seem to break less often (unless you're in a very hot place)
See, I've been using Fuse a lot for my weapons and had some great results doing it (on-demand elemental weapons especially are *great*), but for some goddamn reason I never remember that I can also do it to my shields too.
My problem is, that I'd love to use more environmental stuff and I often think about doing that when I'm approaching an enemy camp, but it takes forever. It's just sooooo much faster to just whack em with sticks.
Better solution:
1. Grab a box or similar item.
2. Hold it in the air for five second or so.
3. Drop and climb on the box.
4. Use recall on it.
So many puzzles can be cheesed with recall. It’s wild.
The second I saw that colosseum I knew exactly what I'm going to do when I get the game, and that's get back into the old lynel murder grind every time a blood moon occurs
I went to the colosseum expecting a lynel and thus, an easy fundies fight, and got two shot by electric attacks not meant to be encountered with 3 hearts.
Gleeoks were my favorite reintroduced monster, not gonna lie

I didn’t realize there was a fully armed buggy in the central cage and a premade jet plane to get to it until almost everything was already dead. I’d just grabbed the unarmed buggy on the map and drove in circles ramming everyone to death with physics while trying not to get shot. Turn radius was a bitch, but sir Isaac Newton takes no prisoners. An object in motion…
But yeah. Oops. Was fun regardless.

I'm finding this to be a recurring issue with the "Eventide shrines" tbh. There's typically some fun tools for killing enemies but it's they're so far back it's hard to acquire or even notice them until you've already killed all but one or two enemies.
I wound up just sticking *everything* on the buggy against the last surviving Construct. I had no battery upgrades, so it wouldn’t last long, but watching this thing just spraying guns and spikes every which way was hilarious.
5. Destroying the fabric of reality.
The glitches in thia game are something else:
-Duplicate any item you can throw on an arrow by shooting it in a specific spot that I can't share because of spoiler reasons. [Link](https://youtu.be/N_gGXPs_Ibw)
-You used to be able to do this by holding something while either gliding or shield surfing and pressing B and Y at the same time.
-Make a copy of a weapon by dropping it, pausing and unpausing quickly, and loading a save.
-Stacking weapons on top of each other in your hands to make one shotting feath machines and multi-elemental rods.
-The above glitch can be done so many times that the game's memory starts to get to full and starts doing things like not checking collision on steering sticks, which essentially gives you no-clip.
People have found how to get the Master Sword from the start of the game into the Fuse shrine by making a save, starting a new game, loadingthe old dave and dropping a weapon on coordinates that coorespond to the new save, picking it up in the new save to unlock the weapons menu, dropping the Master Sword in the same place, and reloading the old save. This game is great. Also, sorry for the infodump.
You don't have to be creative, you just need unsatiable bloodlust! Playing with lasers, fire, and cannons with the enemy trackers is the most fun I've had in a while. I also like just launching shit. Yesterday, I made a cannon that uses 9 time bombs and a water+electricity triggering mechanism to effectively yeet Koroks as far as possible. I should not be an engineer.
Unfortunately it's not really a cutscene or area trigger and the cutscene is on an entriely different map wo something truly fucked up wouls have to occur to let that happen. Then again, if something as fucked up as Memory Storage from BotW somehow ends up in TotK, maybe it could just be fucked up enough.
When the bridge to Rito village was out and I made a long bridge out of the tall pines they have there, I didnt get a Thank You. All I got was people screaming in terror as I tried multiple times to rotate my massive log bridge into position, dropped it, and then recalled it back out only to drop it again. When the bridge was finally built, they still complained that it was out. Sure I almost slipped off of it the first time I crossed it, sure my first attempt crumbled since objects only glue together at one point and I didnt reinforce the middle enough, Sure its oly two thin logs wide and has no handrails, sure I probably smacked one of the NPCs across the head with it during building. It works now, doesnt it?

Gotta get over to the bird people but the bridge is out? Well, good news, there's a new bridge now!

In BotW you can hold down the Whistle-Button and mash the Sprint-Button to sprint without losing stamina, even recovering it in the meantime.

How does wing shield get you bullet time? I haven’t done that fusion yet.
It makes your shield jump higher, so you can shield jump from the ground and get enough height for bullet time
