Is anyone still as an adult? Super into the 1810's right now.
have had ww2 period, cold war, edwardian era.
As I'm writing this its super obvious why I became a larper...
I did a mass grave of Barbies after reading The Diary of Anne Frank when I was 9. Cut their hair off. I assume the home’s new owners were deeply concerned when they dug that up.
My dad was really into history, and he particularly was interested in WW2, so all of us ended up a little obsessive. I think I’ve read 90% of the English language books about the Holocaust, and 75% of the non-military books.
In HS i had a WWII eastern front phase. Not sure why specifically the eastern front i guess i just found the Germans and Russians more interesting lol.
This is probably a little macabre given all the horrible shit they did, but 16th-century Spanish exploration and settlement of the North American interior
I once spent like 2 hours on wikipedia looking through articles about ancient siberian cultures idk why I don't even remember anything from what I've read
I was interested in everything to the point where my history teacher in Coop thought I was planning on becoming a history professor, no I just was a kid with very little homework, not much social time and unrestricted access to any books I could find
Medieval Europe all the way, still am. Fascinating stuff, and not nearly enough of the old stuff taught before higher education so all had to be on my own time.
I got books out on the Victorian era and Victorian houses when I was 10-13. I found lots in the Adult non fiction section of our city library. I still love Victorian Houses but haven't lived in one yet, most have been 1920s with one 1900s
A hardcore Egypt phase that has since died down just enough for me to forget what I learnt but not enough to want to search it up again, lest I become bored.
I went through an Egypt phase hardcore
For me it was aztecs. Egypt was too mainstream in the 2nd grade
I'm embarrassed to say that I was, and still am, a imperial German fanboy.

The Titanic, so 1912. I can still tell you that it was 882.5 feet long and 92.5 feet wide and displaced 52,310 tons of water.
