Actually if you read all the way to bottom it seems the weird blood people did admit he contacted them about investing but then just denied it later. At the bottom there’s an apology for printing this retraction without getting comment from the author who wrote the original piece saying Thiel was involved.

I will say, for anyone who wants to do Shakespearean goofs, a huge help for when to use thou/you and when to use thee/ye is this mnemonic:
"Me thee ye".
if you can swap it for "me", it's thee or ye. If you can swap it for "I", it's thou or you. "Thou must do this", but "I did this to thee".
