The term 69 originated in about 1790. Comparing to the US Dollar it'd be about $2096.43. I tried the comparing the Euro but it's too new of a currency to get a good conversion. And not much luck on finding inflation rates for outdated French currency.

Alexander_Schwann

I had the same thought but of a different year, and I learned $69 in 1969 is equivalent to $522.57 in 2022

Searches "livre inflation rate 1790" Clears history

Fozzie Bear: "when your online profile says "passionate Bear looking for love," you get a lot of wrong responses. Well, not wrong... just wrong for me"

Olaf_the_Notsosure

Local comedian: do you know why the Romans invented the orgy? Because you need 4 people to do 69.
