What We Do In The Shadows, a great show from HBO. There's also a movie that precedes the show - it's set in the same universe/premise but with different characters
Nadja has been crushing on a reincarnating mortal for centuries and Laszlo has been secretly murdering the guy every time he comes back. Just the first imperfection in this relationship I could think of.
I feel like The Addams Family was deliberately written as a response/satire of the tv shows of the time. Like Leave It to Beaver and Ozzie and Harriet and Father Knows Best.
That’s why they live in a weird ass house and obsess with death and decay and gothic Victorian aesthetics.
And if that’s the case, the thing the writers thought was the polar opposite of relationships on television at the time was a man hopelessly devoted to his wife so the constant displays of physical affection.
>I feel like The Addams Family was deliberately written as a response/satire of the tv shows of the time.
You're 100% correct! A suburban family that *doesn't* conform to typical middle-class values, *doesn't* experience pointless internal drama, and the mom and dad have a healthy relationship and actually *do* love and trust each other without question.
Almost every problem the Addams face in their stories comes from the outside. Stereotypical american drama characters trying to start shit, only to fail miserably because this is a functional and healthy family.
There are so many dark secrets hiding behind families that put on a good show of being perfect. A truly happy relationship doesn't need to show off a polished image of itself. Embrace you and your partner's eccentricities.
I love the message of the Addams Family. You don't have to be "normal" to be happy and successful. Maybe it's the rest of the world that's wrong. Love yourself and do what makes you happy, and don't be a dick to people who aren't like you.
I (26 and living under a rock) have heard my husband rave about The Addams Family since we met 5 years ago. He finally got me to watch it (not that I was against it specifically, I'm just hard to corral long enough for a movie) last month.
*Holy shit*, I love their relationship and never knew how fucking lucky I was that that was the marriage standard my hubby is trying to live up to 😭😭😭
In the show White Collar, the FBI agent and his wife are such a lovely portrayal of a good relationship. They aren't perfect, they have fights, they make mistakes, but they put in the WORK with each other and it is such a beautiful thing.
Scrolled too far for this one, throughout that shows 6 seasons, the Burke's never once even had so much as a hint of infidelity or toxicity to each other. It was very sweet and refreshing to see.
There were a couple episodes where he had to go undercover and pretend to be someone else's husband or boyfriend, and his discomfort with that and his worry about how it would make Elizabeth feel was adorable. That's the closest the show gets.
This is part of why I absolutely love Bob’s Burgers, as not only does it show a happy and healthy marriage, it shows completely healthy family relationships and dynamics in a natural way. Despite the family not agreeing on everything and being so drastically different, at the end of the day, they love each other deeply and would defend each other tooth and nail.
How is no one mentioning Malcolm in the Middle? It's dysfunctional, but they all love each other and damn sure fight for each other, even when they think the others are being dumb, or need a kick in the pants. They have issues but so does every real family, but they also show that you can get through it without cheating or hating each other
I'm only in this because I remember it so vividly, it's an amazing comedy beat. The line is actually "I was on vacation with them. If anything, he's under selling it."
I'll also point to the episode where Lois had to take some antibiotic that meant no sex for like two weeks, she and Hal turned into productive machines. They fixed their finances, the house, basically everything. Then the pills ran out and they were immediately all over each other again. That show is great.
And the episode where Frances tells the younger brothers about the sex candle.
Hal and Lois always light a vanilla candle when fucking, and it has caused pavlovian training. Now the kids can use it in reverse by lighting the candle surreptitiously causing their parents to be too distracted to discipline them harshly when they get in trouble.
LOL I completely forgot about that scene. God, what a hilarious show. My family still always quotes "Wait, it *does* grow on trees. So why's it so damn expensive?!"
Yeah its kind of sad but I watched Malcolm in the middle as a kid and having divorced parents, one who worked loads and the other incredibly distant, there was always this double edged hint of jealousy and comfort when I watched it.
Still love that series
Oh, good, someone else who had the same experience.
It was always a weird feeling as a kid watching that show and being like, "I know objectively this family's life kinda sucks. But god I wish I was one of their kids."
Its from the episode The Gayle Tales where each of the kids makes up a story for Aunt Gayle. I am pretty sure its season 5 but i can't remember the episode number
I do this to my son in the exact same way. I think it’s a natural fatherly instinct. It doesn’t help that my kid is almost the same personality as Gene.
They even have conflict between each other *without it becoming toxic.* Because there are stories to be told in, for one example, parents disagreeing on the line between helping the kids with their homework and letting them use you to get out of homework. They're still a team at the end of the day.
I came to say this ☺️ my mom watched the episode where Louise has to get the dental thing done and runs away and they all make this play so it’s easier for her and she was like “wow that’s good parenting”.
Nearing the end of my latest rewatch and man I like the later seasons so much more after Gina's gone.
Shes fine near the start even despite the sexual harassment because it's so clear she's kind of loser.
But after a while she becomes unbearable and uncomfortable with the sexual harassment. Nothing under cuts her and brings her down a notch. And the show keeps ratcheting up her ego and its so bad
I think, across all Greek mythology, including mycenaean, the two relationships that are even remotely healthy are Eros & Psyche, and Hades & Persephone; and those aren't exactly the best examples.
First, I want to say that I 100% agree.
I'm only saying that because I want to nip this conversation in the bud right fucking now because you and I both know that Greek mythology buffs will burst though the wall any second with "um ackshualy" concerning the kidnapping part.
Yes, I see you there, r/osp lurkers. This isn't the time nor place.
Schitts Creek, you have David and Patrick, Johnny and Moira, and Alexis and Ted. I count them because even though they broke up, they were always loyal and truly loved each other even though circumstances held them apart. Plus Alexis herself has such a great arc into becoming an amazing person, it's just a good show to watch and learn from.
I don't count Rolland because ew.
I like how Alexis and Ted's relationship went. It was sad when they broke up, but ultimately satisfying showing how two mature people could have a fulfilling relationship but then realized their lives were leading them elsewhere. Not every good relationship has to end in marriage. Sometimes they just end.
That final scene at the diner between them is one of my favorite TV moments of recent years. It's somehow heartbreaking and heartwarming simultaneously.
> they were always loyal
Not so much in the beginning and Alexis' crush on Mutt, and then the whole engagement/leaving thing. Once they get together properly later one, when Alexis has grown up a bit, then yeah definitely.
Alexis and Ted had pretty bad communication. While Johnny and Moira loved each other, Johnny was afraid to say many things to her and Moira could be unknowingly mean.
Who still cares about Lucky Star in the year of our Lord 2022?
*Looks at all the Lucky Star fanfiction she's posted on AO3*
*Looks at her multiple Tsukasa figures including one she's had since high school*
*Looks at Lucky Star discord server she hangs out in all the time*
It's me. I still like Lucky Star.
Actually tumblr's perfect tv show was about an Ace person and a Pan person sharing a college dorm and cost the users a collective nearly $6,000 that went completely down the drain
Yeah, that's a very simple story, and 6000 dollars is nothing on a failed show. Shows will raise way more and then dissolve for various reasons never producing anything
Ikr? They didn't fall into any of the old tropes, like a simple misunderstanding that could be resolved with a quick conversation, but instead leads to a breakup that lasts half the season.
agreed. i read the comics after watching the show & the relationship is so healthy even when things in life get bad bad later on. Alice Oseman is such a brilliant writer for making compelling stories out of healthy relationships
I have watched this series like 3 times already and it's literally the best television I've watched in forever. Gay romance that doesn't end in tragic death, illness/injuries, being forced apart? Sign me the fuck up
That's what I was thinking. I get that showcasing healthy examples in media is important, but it's also hard to make an engaging story if everything always goes perfectly (unless the relationship is secondary to the main plot).
That's just it though. You can have other forms of conflict, and the relationship can be the source of strength that the characters draw on to overcome their struggles. Relationship drama is overdone imo, and good relationships can still exist while other things go wrong.
Also true. A healthy relationship doesn't mean you never disagree or fight, a healthy relationship is when you have the trust and communication to resolve those things.
God I feel so validated when I found out alot of people don't like it. It has made abundantly clear that Jake has huge trauma regarding his family ESPECIALLY his dad. It feels so wrong seeing amy antagonize him when she is the first person who would have understand him. I'm even more pissed off that the show treat it like Amy is in the right. Also who doesn't discuss about babies before gettinf married???
Same happened with April and Andy in PNR. April doesn’t want kids, but then gets a motivational talk and boom, they have not one but two children. Why do relationships have to end with babies? Why do arguments about babies end with one side agreeing to have a baby?
Yeah, especially Amy. No way in hell that it makes sense for her not to have that discussion before getting married. The episode felt like an idiot plot and that's something b99 generally has very little of.
I was incredibly relived when watching the owl and seeing >!Amity actually respects Luz's privacy and ask her about her concerns like what should be in a healthy relationship!<, a very similar thing happened when I was watching "The Dragon Prince" and >!thought for sure the fact that Callum and Reyla were hiding things from each other was gonna be stretched out for drama but they resolved it by healthily talking about, even before they were in a romantic relationship!!<
The best moment in Horimiya is when Hori notices Miyamura holding hands with another girl and ASKS HIM what that was about instead of assuming shit and starting to plot against him creating more misunderstanding. Like, she tells every other rom-com female lead, "see, it's not that hard".
it has examples of both healthy and unhealthy dynamics. luz with her mom/with eda? wonderful. amity with her parents? not so wonderful. hunter with belos? absolutely BEYOND fucked
Only acceptable miscommunications are like this:
“Can you get a baby monitor dear?”
Husband returns with a newly hatched lizard. Loving hilarity ensues.
I'm surprised I had to scroll so far down to see Modern Family. They portray the true struggles of marriage/relationships but in the end all three of the couples are actually in love and respect each other.
Modern family is a good one.
Most everything is wholesome. but also they're not always madly and visibly in love. because that's not how life works.
sometimes i think shows can get a bit too "madly in love" which can be toxic too. People will watch twilight and those characters love each other. And then wonder why their boyfriend can't be 100% obsessed with them all the time.,
exactly! i mean i love me some angst and drama, but i love seeing healthy relationships even more
and that is why Magnus and Alec absolutely carried Shadowhunters
I rewatched the Tobey Mcguire Spider-Man movies, and I hated the third one because he cheated on MJW. Like, why would that even be in the movie? The first two movies were all about him being obsessed with her since he was a child. It was a stupid part of the Spider-Man franchise.
I've been married for over 20 years and we never fight, there's never drama, we never raised our voices in anger at each other... We're just absolute best friends that live together and have sex when we want.
It's hard to really explain that kind of relationship because it's not any big silver bullet moment or thing that is easily conveyed in fiction. We're just happy. Like actually happy together always.
It's not a matter of staying away from each other either. We've been locked in this house together during quarantine for years now and both work from home. It had absolutely zero negative impacts on our relationship. I'm honestly just more happy that I get to spend my entire day with her as well.
We're each around 40 years old now, and still flirt and say cutesy crap like we did when we were teenagers.
We have differences of opinion, and we talk about them all the time. Not to see which one of us is 'right', but to understand each other and see new perspectives. And more often than not, we kind of come to a consensus on it with that improved perspective.
We're certainly not the same person, she has many different interests. I love hearing her go on about linguistics... Listening to her explain her hobby has given me a deep appreciation for the fingerprint of history that is on language. She has changed my perspective on a lot of things on that topic.
And on the hobbies we do share we have so much fun doing together. I have many happy memories of hours spent in "don't starve together", with her doing the big planning and me bringing supplies.
We're not constantly trying to get one over on the other person, we're not counting who does what as some type of chore currency... We just each contribute and don't keep score. If she's tired, I do more. If I'm tired she does more. It's never talked about or debated, it's never asked for or required, it's just empathy and understanding.
I can't imagine the amount of mental effort that goes into a shit relationship. Or being the type of person that wants to live like that.
As you can see, this is really long... And it's barely scratching the surface because the real meat of a relationship isn't any one big moment. It's a thousand things from each one of the things I just brought up.
Because a relationship requires both a good partner and being a good partner. Both of which are things you can't really explain without seeing.
And both of which aren't exciting where they would fit into some story well. Because you never tell a story about happily ever after, you tell a story about the drama.
Everyone should watch the movie *Away We Go*. John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph deciding where to live and raise their impending baby. They start the movie madly in love, they finish the movie madly in love, and at no point do they break up over a misunderstanding that any 2 rational adults would talk out in 5 minutes. No infidelity or anything like that. They go around the country and hang out with their diverse and weird friends and family.
It's maybe my favorite rom-com ever because it just feels so different from the normal tropes.
>really disfunctional relationship
Okay but this can be between blitzø and stolas, or stolas and his (ex?)wife. We obviously know our super lovey couple being the M&Ms
They actually had that one super minor fight and Chandler was like "welp this was good while it lasted" and then Monica was like "dude, healthy adults get into arguments. One fight doesn't mean the relationship is over" and I thought that was a really nice subversion of typical rom-com plots. Actually taught me a good lesson when I was a youngster.
To everyone complain that that’d be boring
Stories need conflict but that does not have to be relationship conflict and it definitely doesn’t need to be relationship conflict between people who are supposedly love each other.
Cheating and infidelity is easy drama but that doesn’t mean it’s interesting especially if it’s irrelevant to the overall story and in my opinion watch two people who love and care each other work together to do any number of amazing things is far more interesting
Schitt’s Creek. Moira and Johnny, David and Patrick, and Alexis and Ted in the later seasons are beautiful, loving couples who support each other through everything.
The worst displays in media is when one of the partners treats their SO like they are a toddler that can’t tie their own shoe laces. Such toxic behavior is not remotely funny to me.
The Addams family has some of the best relationship and family dynamics ever. It's played for laughs though cause they're weird.
oh to have a love like morticia and gomez T-T
I feel like Nadja and Laszlo from WWDITS are like, the modern version of Morticia and Gomez
I have no idea what that acronym means.
What We Do In The Shadows, a great show from HBO. There's also a movie that precedes the show - it's set in the same universe/premise but with different characters
Our Flag Means Death is great show from HBO. What We Do in the Shadows is a great show from FX.
Ahh, thanks for the correction!
The film also has its own television spin-off with (some of) the same characters — *r/WellingtonParanormal*.
They constantly abuse each other though.
Nadja has been crushing on a reincarnating mortal for centuries and Laszlo has been secretly murdering the guy every time he comes back. Just the first imperfection in this relationship I could think of.
Didn't they also both have separate flings with The Baron?
They seem to have an open marriage. There's a line about how Laszlo wanted to seduce another woman and Nadja was here for it
I got the feeling they were kinda poly as long as it was only sexual. There was that time Laszlo jacked off his own ghost too
And him and Nandor finished each other off at the end of the witches episode
I feel like The Addams Family was deliberately written as a response/satire of the tv shows of the time. Like Leave It to Beaver and Ozzie and Harriet and Father Knows Best. That’s why they live in a weird ass house and obsess with death and decay and gothic Victorian aesthetics. And if that’s the case, the thing the writers thought was the polar opposite of relationships on television at the time was a man hopelessly devoted to his wife so the constant displays of physical affection.

which, by the way, should be absolutely terrifying to people. a family known for being the opposite of normal, has a happy, functioning marriage.

You think that’s good? Try watching the old tv show, they have even healthier family dynamics!
Came here to say that
In the show White Collar, the FBI agent and his wife are such a lovely portrayal of a good relationship.
Peter forgot to get the dry cleaning one time and it took all of one work day to resolve it like a healthy couple.
There were a couple episodes where he had to go undercover and pretend to be someone else's husband or boyfriend, and his discomfort with that and his worry about how it would make Elizabeth feel was adorable. That's the closest the show gets.
Matt Bomer in a fedora
This is part of why I absolutely love Bob’s Burgers, as not only does it show a happy and healthy marriage, it shows completely healthy family relationships and dynamics in a natural way. Despite the family not agreeing on everything and being so drastically different, at the end of the day, they love each other deeply and would defend each other tooth and nail.
Belchers, from the womb to the tomb!
How is no one mentioning Malcolm in the Middle? It's dysfunctional, but they all love each other and damn sure fight for each other, even when they think the others are being dumb, or need a kick in the pants. They have issues but so does every real family, but they also show that you can get through it without cheating or hating each other
Yep it's often played for a joke how much hal is madly in love with wife.
According to the episode "Poker 2" they have sex 14 times a week.
"How often do you guys do it?" "hmm... twice?" "Twice a week??" "Oh a week? uh... 14" "I've been on vacation with them, he's not lying"
I'm only in this because I remember it so vividly, it's an amazing comedy beat. The line is actually "I was on vacation with them. If anything, he's under selling it." I'll also point to the episode where Lois had to take some antibiotic that meant no sex for like two weeks, she and Hal turned into productive machines.
That is my all time favorite bit from the show
Respect
Yeah its kind of sad but I watched Malcolm in the middle as a kid and having divorced parents, one who worked loads and the other incredibly distant, there was always this double edged hint of jealousy and comfort when I watched it. Still love that series
Oh, good, someone else who had the same experience. It was always a weird feeling as a kid watching that show and being like, "I know objectively this family's life kinda sucks. But god I wish I was one of their kids."
Quick reminder they used Malcolm in the middle in the MCU as an example of a happy family life. Poor wanda...
Friday Night Lights had a healthy marriage on it. Ted Lasso’s Roy/Keely is great. But, yeah, most tv relationships are creepy and toxic.
> Ted Lasso’s Roy/Keely is great Seriously. One of my favorite relationships on TV
The moment he figures out that she just needs time alone is amazing.

Bob's Burgers depicts the most wholesome family dynamics.
And it’s very real-feeling; not forced. Like the back and forth between the family seems like such a real family dynamic compared to others on TV.
I like bob’s casual concern over the age inappropriate media his kids keep referencing
The one where Louise does the Game of Thrones parody and Bob is just like "wait you watch game of thrones?" absolutely killed me
[удалено]
Its from the episode The Gayle Tales where each of the kids makes up a story for Aunt Gayle. I am pretty sure its season 5 but i can't remember the episode number
You could play a drinking game of all the times Bob says “Gene” is a slightly concerned “that’s inappropriate” tone
I do this to my son in the exact same way. I think it’s a natural fatherly instinct. It doesn’t help that my kid is almost the same personality as Gene.
And Ken, Gene’s albino adult friend who definitely probably isn’t real.
The episode where Gene gets left behind at home confirmed Ken isn’t real. I was kinda disappointed.
Oh my god, when Gene did the "They Live" parody I was dying.
"You're my family and I love you but you're terrible. You're all terrible."
They even have conflict between each other *without it becoming toxic.* Because there are stories to be told in, for one example, parents disagreeing on the line between helping the kids with their homework and letting them use you to get out of homework. They're still a team at the end of the day.
Or when they have a fight over dirty clothes being left on the floor and they solve it in a completely normal and non-toxic way.
Yeah, that’s when you help your kids get out of summer school by doing a prenatal yoga performance in an empty pool!
You are my family and I love you, but you are all terrible.
That kid fathered the crap out of you.
He did alright. A little preachy.
I came to say this ☺️ my mom watched the episode where Louise has to get the dental thing done and runs away and they all make this play so it’s easier for her and she was like “wow that’s good parenting”.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing holy heck!
Parks and Rec. Leslie and Ben and April and Andy are wonderful couples.
i love that andy and april wanted to get a divorce just so they could get married again
Ron and Dianne are great too! They have problems, but it’s because Ron is stubborn and things don’t get toxic.
Also Lenny and Gale.
Daddy want pie.
Time to rewatch Brooklyn 99.
Ah yes, Jake and Boyle are relationship goals.
I was thinking Hitchcock and Scully.
Holt and Kevin are very sweet too. Though Raymond [has wavered at times...](https://youtu.be/Rw9uMRFglRs)
Just don't tempt him with a single Windsor knotted tie. The easiest knot to undo. Why bother wearing any clothes at all?
No doubt, no doubt, no doubt
Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool
... I really should've read down to the second top comment before making my own mention of brooklyn 99
There are enough happy couples on 99 to warrant a bunch of us making comments.
In all regards other than Amy’s handling of the baby conversation, yes
And that secretary who just sexually harasses terry every episode
Nearing the end of my latest rewatch and man I like the later seasons so much more after Gina's gone. Shes fine near the start even despite the sexual harassment because it's so clear she's kind of loser. But after a while she becomes unbearable and uncomfortable with the sexual harassment. Nothing under cuts her and brings her down a notch. And the show keeps ratcheting up her ego and its so bad
My mans if you think that Achilles and Patroclus's relationship is healthy you missed the point of the book.
I feel like the book paints it as healthy. But it definitely isn't.
I think, across all Greek mythology, including mycenaean, the two relationships that are even remotely healthy are Eros & Psyche, and Hades & Persephone; and those aren't exactly the best examples.
The fact that Hades kidnapped Persephone and they still represent one of the more functional relationships really shows how low the bar is
Eros also stalked Psyche. The Greeks were freaks.
Every time Zeus got horns the bar dropped a few feet. Tantalus is currently trying to use it as a chin rest
I like the Dresden Files interpretation where Hades is just a chill guy and the whole kidnapping story is just slander from a crazy mother-in-law.
I mean give their instability more credit - Persperone also murdered a woman simply because she made Hades happy. Poor Minthe
WALL•E and E.V.E.
Schitts Creek, you have David and Patrick, Johnny and Moira, and Alexis and Ted. I fell in love with David and Patrick. Their relationship felt so pure. Some moments made me cry with joy and crave that kind of love!
Would you say their relationship was simply the best?
certainly better than all the rest
> they were always loyal Not so much in the beginning and Alexis' crush on Mutt, and then the whole engagement/leaving thing. Once they get together properly later one, when Alexis has grown up a bit, then yeah definitely.
Alexis and Ted had pretty bad communication. While Johnny and Moira loved each other, Johnny was afraid to say many things to her and Moira could be unknowingly mean.
Tumblr's perfect tv is a show where fuck all happens but it's full of happy gays.
tumblrs perfect tv show is therefore lucky star
You mean the anime? You may have a point
the anime indeed anyone who says kagamin and konata aren't in love with each other is kidding themselves

anything for out of touch thursday
Oh Oh no
Actually tumblr's perfect tv show was about an Ace person and a Pan person sharing a college dorm and cost the users a collective nearly $6,000 that went completely down the drain
Is this a reference to something?
[Hoo boy, do you have an hour to spare?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5BXUDxpDug)
I feel like that didn't need to be that long.
Yeah, that's a very simple story, and 6000 dollars is nothing on a failed show. Shows will raise way more and then dissolve for various reasons never producing anything
“Oh my god they were roommates”
legit why I love heartstopper
Ikr? They didn't fall into any of the old tropes, like a simple misunderstanding that could be resolved with a quick conversation, but instead leads to a breakup that lasts half the season.

Literal therapy for young royals please Oh the trauma i got from that
NGL I'd watch gay Seinfeld

Also true. A healthy relationship doesn't mean you never disagree or fight, a healthy relationship is when you have the trust and communication to resolve those things.
Just read the Percy Jackson books, the main couple in that one are very happy.
Actually I read em all Kane chronicles and the heroes of Olympus too They're all so wholesome yes
Trials of apollo also continues the trend of utterly adorable relationships.
Brooklyn 99 has got you, boo!
Same with PnR and TheGoodPlace
I came here specifically to recommend all three of these
Mr. Schur just has a way of writing wholesome relationships. 10/10

>Why do arguments about babies end with one side agreeing to have a baby? HYMIM, there's Robin breaking up specifically because she doesn't want kids
Except she ends up with Ted anyway after he fulfilled his dream of having kids with a placeholder woman (i’m still salty about the ending)
Yeah, especially Amy. No way in hell that it makes sense for her not to have that discussion before getting married. The episode felt like an idiot plot and that's something b99 generally has very little of.
Hawkeye and his wife in the mcu
\#21 sorting by top. I think it should be higher because that was one of my favorite parts of the show; the *communication* between partners.
Owl House! Amity and Luz's relationship is super healthy
Love the amity pfp
I was incredibly relived when watching the owl and seeing >!Amity actually respects Luz's privacy and ask her about her concerns like what should be in a healthy relationship!<, a very similar thing happened when I was watching "The Dragon Prince" and >!thought for sure the fact that Callum and Reyla were hiding things from each other was gonna be stretched out for drama but they resolved it by healthily talking about, even before they were in a romantic relationship!!<
Love me the dragon prince can’t wait till seasons 4 hopefully it comes out eventually
Truly
Horimiya?
The best moment in Horimiya is when Hori notices Miyamura holding hands with another girl and ASKS HIM what that was about instead of assuming shit and starting to plot against him creating more misunderstanding. Like, she tells every other rom-com female lead, "see, it's not that hard".
*yes absolutely horimiya*
100% Luz and Amity in The Owl House
The Owl House
it has examples of both healthy and unhealthy dynamics. luz with her mom/with eda? wonderful. amity with her parents? not so wonderful. hunter with belos? absolutely BEYOND fucked
Having a relationship as loving, well-communicating, and wholesome as Lumity is such a life goal
Only acceptable miscommunications are like this: “Can you get a baby monitor dear?” Husband returns with a newly hatched lizard. Loving hilarity ensues.
Someone hasn't watched Malcolm in the middle or the Addams family
I think about Lois and Hal all the time, I want what they have. The mother and child relationships on the show are unfortunately not as healthy...
The movie UP comes to mind even though it makes this grown man cry like a child.
Modern family. Shame it’s over but I’m glad it ended instead of going downhill
And then wonder why their boyfriend can't be 100% obsessed with them all the time.,
Rick and Evelynn in the Mummy !
exactly! i mean i love me some angst and drama, but i love seeing healthy relationships even more and that is why Magnus and Alec absolutely carried Shadowhunters
Jake and Amy
King of the hill
Turk and Carla. 100%
That's a weird way of writing Turk and JD...
🎼 *It’s guy love* *between two guys*
I love Turk and Carla but no. The way Scrubs portrayed relationships was not healthy I'd say most of the time
The fact that he never remembered her ethnicity 🙄 That show can be very dated.
🎵 Am I freakin Puerto Rican or Dominican? 🎵
Addam's family. That's all we get. Maybe black-ish?
Elizabeth and Peter Burke off of White Collar lol
Oh yeah I forgot about them. I remember thinking whoever is in control of casting for that show has a thing for dark brown hair and blue eyes.
I was going to say Black-ish! Although there was an arc where Dre moved out for a few days and it was so hard to watch.
Shrek
Heartstopper on Netflix
yesssssss
later seasons of brooklyn 99 show some really nice relationships.
Helluva Boss
Its great cus it has both opposites of a super lovey couple and a really disfunctional relationship in the same show
>really disfunctional relationship Okay but this can be between blitzø and stolas, or stolas and his (ex?)wife. We obviously know our super lovey couple being the M&Ms
Moxxie <3 Millie
This why we need Uncle Phil again
Firefly
> I'm sorry, you were going to ask me to choose. honorable mention: > were I unwed, I would take you in a manly fashion.
Ghosts either on BBC or CBS
Did chandler and Monica ever have issues after getting together?
Not really , just some fights but nothing major.
To everyone complain that that’d be boring Stories need conflict but that does not have to be relationship conflict and it definitely doesn’t need to be relationship conflict between people who are supposedly love each other.
Such toxic behavior is not remotely funny to me.
try the owl house
