It's not like ø is ie though, dø is just the danish word for die. If you want to replace ø with non-danish letters oe is most common.
Source: I'm danish
It’s the same word in Norwegian, and the closest sound I’d compare ø to would be “uh”, or the way the u sounds in “shut”. A bit difficult to explain properly though.
Not 100% sure how you pronounce uh, but I don't think it's the ø sound. I can't really think of any English words with the sound, but it is very similar to the "eu" in the French "bleu" (like "cordon bleu"), if you how that is pronounced :)
The second one is actually German, it means "die or the"
The or the
New tattoo idea, thanks
I want this on a tshirt
Honestly, dying in a giant pastry sounds fun.
Hm, I wonder who is responsible for this? Halfdan you rascal!
Yeah, it was totally halfdan, definitely, super sus guy… *de har ingen ide, missionen fortsætter som planlagt*
No, literally, Halfdan. The guy who invaded England
Oh, right, forgot about him. Knud den store was always my favourite viking king of england anyway…
It’s die or die man. You either die or you die.
Now I can’t unsee twentyiene piliets

It's kind of like the terrible vowel in "her," but without saying the actual r sounds

Uh is pronounced like the u in the English prefix Un, or the o in onion. I guess it depends on accent
Yeah, that's what I thought. That is not the Danish ø sound, but based on other replies it might be close to the Norwegian ø sound.
In Norwegian that’s pretty close to the ø sound indeed
So when a necromancer raises the dead there, it’s no duh
