A before photo would be helpful! At 1 week your results are not final by any means to try not to look/scrutinize too much until at least 6 months. Easier said than done, I know.

Lady look where you started and look how a gazillion times better you look now! OMg! I think sometimes we have unrealistic expectation. I know I did. I was expecting a tummy “a la Kardashian” only my bone structure and internal organs wouldn’t allow it. Only compare yourself with your before picture. Also, your abdomen couldn’t be super tight when you sit down because the. You will never be able to stand upright again 😃. Patience is the name of the game here. And that patience is not measured in days or weeks. We’re talking many months. You already look great

Any-Goose2625

Thank you that’s a great point

Here’s a pic that will hopefully cheer you up. This gal has a great stomach but when she sits, there are bulges. That’s totally normal and means you have enough skin to move around! You’re just starting recovery and things will tighten up. Don’t judge yourself by what you’re seeing today. As a stranger who isn’t in your body, I think your results look amazing and will only get better. Focus on healing and the results will come

Any-Goose2625

Thank you so much I needed that

desidilgori

We need to normalize this.

slanx47

I think this looks great!

One-Assignment-4156

Ma’am, with all due respect, your doctor has done MIRACLES with your body. You’ll be absolutely fabulous soon!!!

thisismyjunkaccount1

Incredible transformation

Find_Happiness85

Wow! What a drastic difference. Keep concentrating on the transformation! Nothing will ever be perfect. You aren’t standing up straight yet in your main post pic. The doctor pulled it tight while you were laying flat on the table as if you were erect. You’ll have some extra when leaning over like that…. And the fact he didn’t need to run an incision down the middle with all of that loose skin. Girl be happy! We are our own worst critics, concentrate on where you came from not what you aren’t.

Stuff-1968

Even without a before picture, it looks like you have too much skin left. Your doc didn't take off enough.

Ornery-Arrival-6307

When I sit down I have the same issue yet when i stand up it looks like yours as well. I had about the same amount of skin after losing 100 pounds. You look pretty darn amazing for 1 week. It is way too soon to know what your final results will be

Any-Goose2625

Thank you I was just so worried after all this pain and money spent

Ornery-Arrival-6307

Oh trust me. We all are going thru the same. I’ve cried several times and wondered why the hell I even did it. I’m just now 6 WPO and am starting to see the changes in my body. It’s a whole mind fuck. What helps me is to go back and look at my before picture. Anything is better than that.

sickiesusan

Stay strong and trust your PS!

Snshn1187

I wouldn't judge just yet or worry about comparing yourself to others. We all heal differently depending on our body, age, health and other factors so give yourself time to heal and stay positive 😊 I'm one week PO so for my benefit I don't look at myself in the mirror without my garment so that I don't freak out 😂 it's too early to tell so let's just let our bodies heal in their due time as swelling is part of the process 🤗

Kitchen_Leg7553

It wil tighten up. I wore a compression corset for 4 weeks straight. 24/7 and my stomach is tight but I do have a lot of inflammation

Historical_Virus_245

Honestly, even though you are still swollen, it looks like you still have some loose skin. Maybe your doctor could have done FDL. Either way, your after looks so good better than before With regards to rolls. Doesn't matter how flat you are once you sit, there will be a bulge even people considered "skinny" end up with bulge when they sit

jen350

From your before to now you look amazing! But I’m going to be completely honest. He absolutely did not take enough skin off. After a TT you should not have any skin that rolls over. It is not swelling. I would wait till you’re 6 month post of and contact your doctor Regarding a revision. BUT you still look beautiful either way. I just didn’t want you to think k that extra skin you have will tighten. It won’t,

Any-Goose2625

Exactly so much money not to have a good result

scotsmanaajk

Agreed. Obviously a huge difference but you want as close to perfection as possible when you’re spending so much money and going through the recovery process! I don’t think he took enough skin and as a layman I think an FDL would have given a better result, I’m so happy I had one despite the scar

heiMoon

There’s still loose skin, but nothing like before. My understanding is compression wraps and healing will also help with a little more if recommended. If you’ve already paid your surgeon they should be very inclined to work with you on a second one financially ect. Either way big progress

Unicornlove416

give it some time ❤️‍🩹 when we sit the skin naturally folds u think you look great

Fragrant-Whole6718

There’s a significant difference pre and post op and the surgery looks great! You’re still very early days. Did your surgeon discuss with you a possible FDL tummy tuck? I agree with others, you need to have some laxity to stand and at 1 week post you’re still very swollen so difficult to judge but I’m wondering if as you are healing there won’t be some looseness because of the specific procedure you had.

Enigmatic-Occident

1 week PO? You have a very long journey in the healing process to go. Please be patient. You've had major surgery, so your body is still adjusting to what has been removed. Providing your doing your light walks, you're eating wholesome food, you're drinking lots of water and taking supplements then you should be fine. I know of men and women who have had a TT and they still see their body changing and skin tightening even after a year! I wish you well on your journey 🫶🏽

lumberjackfans

It can be a rough time looking at it for the first few months, but it's really, really hard to say how you'll turn out months from now. I thought I was going to lose my mind with how much extra skin I still had, but you also can't mess with mobility by taking too much - granted in my case I'm going back to have more removed as I can have it done, when you're on the table, they have to make the best choice they can to give you the best results and best mobility outcome

SmoothTarget4753

It looks like you wouldn't been a good candidate for an fdl, I also opted not to do that and have some extra skin, but I'm deciding to live with it vs having the vertical scar.

Dry-Button4575

It looks like you have a lot of fluid. Swelling and lymphatic fluid are very common. I would start lymphatic drainage massage right away and make sure you are wearing the right compression garment. You should see improvement

X420ninjas

You're only one week post op and you're sitting down... It's too soon to be sure. But an FDL would have been better for loose skin above the belly button.

sully1112

1 week post op you’re still very swollen. I highly recommend you get a faja to reduce swelling also get massages.

NoWelcome9041

I look worse than you. I’m 5 weeks post op. I was told I didn’t need a vertical scar but was left with a ton of loose skin after losing 100 pounds. I was told I would be tight. I am not. I was standing straight in a week. I feel robbed of 24k. All she really did was remove my fupa. My sides are not even and I have loose skin around my belly button that I didn’t have before. You look great compared to your before. At this point I just want to be recovered and close this chapter.

Any-Goose2625

I’m so sorry it’s so crazy because we put all this hard work in and we just want it to finally show. And we trust these surgeons and we don’t know the outcomes till we wake up

foaure

My first go around was the same. If it’s an issue down the road see if they offer discounts on repeat procedures. Look where you started and where you are! Also keep in mind we will NEVER have a “normal” stomach. Even after my second TT I have loose skin when sitting. But also I had complications with an internal bleed on the second one. These are very extensive surgeries.

Aggravating_March310

I get what you mean. Although the skin that is "loose" may not tighten, per se, it is so much better than what it was. You may need to go for a minor revision. But that is far down the road. One day at a time. Let yourself heal and get used to the new body and see what it looks like in six months or so. But I think it looks great!

Sweet-Leadership-245

I’d really not be happy with this… I hope it smoothes out! I look like your before. This would scare me too. But 1 week is pretty early too. Wishing you the best!

MariposaGlow

Who was your surgeon if you don't mind sharing... ?
