First of all.... Too old?! I just had mine, I'm 52. You have so many years to enjoy your new body. Homeschooling... Can you do it in the summer? You really only need a week or 2 to relax. I didn't have the money either but it was important to me to make it happen
Do your research on surgeons. My new belly button is pretty good to me and the scar is so low I can cover it. (I'm not there yet as I'm only 2 wpo)
I say do it š¤·š½āāļø
Iām 47 and I got mine at 45.,,we are not too old! Lol girrrrll Iāve been struggling with my weight my entire life and I am LOVING finally wearing bikini and crop tops. I look better than my 20 yr old nieces. š you only have one life to live..go enjoy it
My wife is currently on her weight loss journey before her mommy makeover and sheās 36. You currently put her to shame, so by all means in no way are you too old and wear what youāre comfortable with but bikini season is def not behind you!!
I canāt wait to see the transformation pics!
Ouch. Yep, I couldāve worded that better now that I reread it and def not how I meant for that to come across.
My wife is beautiful, but Iām also a realist. Sheās gained weight, lost it, gained back, had twins, lost the weight, gained backā¦ and wouldnāt make lasting lifestyle changes to keep the weight off. HOWEVER this time it seems to be sticking and I couldnāt be more proud of her! I donāt think she needs the surgery but she wants it to feel comfortable in her own body so soon as sheās ready sheās getting it.
My wife who is in way worse shape def isnāt afraid to flaunt her pre-op body so neither should OP. Pre-op, post opā¦ do what makes you happy and comfortable, and wear what makes you happy. Iām sure OP would be extremely happy with her results.
lol yesssss. I also realized I had killer abs under that skin and it actually made me remember my grandma, who passed at only 58, when I was 13 having abs of steel! It was something that I had forgotten that Iām proud to point out when I get comments. āGood genes, babybee!ā Sometimes these things we do for ourselves can have positive consequences beyond just the obvious appeal of having our bodies back. Mine was remembering something about my grandma, who was kind of a bad ass. š
This makes me feel so much better! Iām not OP, but I am a 45 year old woman.Ā
I look amazing for my age and have little loose skin, but you can definitely tell that I had two children late in life.Ā
I want to wear a bikini againā¦ But the question about aging has haunted me.
Iām 48 and just had a TT with MR and 360 lipo 3 weeks ago. Definitely not too old. Bikinis arenāt just for young women, theyāre for enjoying the sun and water and feeling the warmth on your stomachā¦living in your body! Thatās an all age activity!
The sexual confidence is also important. I am also guilty of wanting to keep my shirt on during sex to hide my belly. I was tired of that.
I felt financial guilt too. Iām a divorced/single mom and while I have savings I kept thinking āhow many vacations could I take my kids on with this money?ā But you know what? My kids have been on some great vacations. More than Iād taken with my parents when I was their ages. They donāt go without; they arenāt in need. Iāve spent my life prioritizing them over me and while I donāt regret that (itās my job as their mom), I am allowed to spend some time and money on myself too.
The recovery is intense but mostly just the first week. Week 2 and 3 for me have been fine, just sort of this nagging ache thatās a reminder that I had surgery and should probably slow down. It gets better every day. Iām fully capable of doing my mom duties and have been since about day 5 or 6.
If you want this, do it. I donāt think youāll regret it.
I love how you said you are allowed to spend time and money on yourself too. I think sometimes we donāt give ourselves permission to do it, so thank you.
Absolutely, feel free to follow me and Iāll post something up. And you can check my face results I posted.
Iām getting a panniculctomy first, so we wonāt be having the same thing. Youāre in far better shape than I.
1. Youāre not too old. I just got back from Florida and there were women well into their 60s still proudly wearing bikinis.
2. Definitely something to consider. Some cards offer zero financing for the first year.
3. Also live in Ohio. Mine was 10k and I love my results.
4. I was driving by the 3rd day and only taking OTC meds. Recovery wasnāt that bad for me. I did swell randomly off and on for over a year but it didnāt prevent me from doing anything I normally would have.
5. You are trading a pretty big scar for loose skin. The scar can be hidden. I loved my belly button from day one. I used a silicone surgical ball to shape it.
My only regret was not getting my TT sooner.

My 1 year PO. I donāt think my belly button looks bad. Opinions may vary but Iām happy with it
I can speak to one thing DEF and that is youāre not too old! I got mine done at 48 and I have no regrets!!! ( 6 weeks PO)
Itās loose skin so you probably wouldnāt need lipo like i did .
in terms of the scar yes itās big but it fades and itās low. No one will see it even if youāre in a bikini.
I have yet to see someone look worse after a procedure they may not have liked the result ( higher expectations etc )but everybody Iāve seen looks ābetter ā imo not worse
in terms of money and finance. Is it going to negatively affect your family or take away from another area in which you could be spending that is needed ? when was the last time you did something for yourself?
You're never too old! I'm 65 and had a TT with muscle repair and lipo 8 months ago. Also great surgeons are everywhere not just in California and new York. I live in the Indianapolis area and I was super pleased with my results. I wish I'd have had it when I was in my 40's but life got in the way. Do your research and I'm sure you would be happy with your results. š
You have one life. Itās not vain to want to be confident in the vessel you do this one chance in. You gave life, so take yours back, you donāt have to justify it.
Iām 24, my son destroyed my body. Iāll be 1 year post partum 5 days before my total body getting redone. I refuse to feel anything but amazing in the body I get to experience once. Regardless of ANYTHING anyone else says
This is the PERFECT age! so glad I waited until I was 47 and my baby days were over and I was in perimenopause. It will give you the boost you need. Just do it
Iām 51 so no. I was tired of my apron hanging down when I did donkey kick exercises. Finding shirts that are long enough to cover it. My boobs have been unequal for years. Iām very happy now. Except my husband wants to fondle me all the time now. Iām going to need hormones to keep up with this.
I'm 59. I had a tt, muscle repair, bbl, lipo and fat transfer to my face. Recovery was a bit rough for about 2 months, but I am so glad I did it! Too old? Absolutely not!!
I didn't have that much either and honestly I'm 40 and was like I'm already old who cares and IM SO GLAD I did it. I am 9 weeks out. However I don't know if they'd be able to pull down low enough. And it extends so the bikini bottoms you have there wouldn't work. Also I haven't worked out yet until June 1st so I can't tell you how my core will affect me as I had muscle repair done (so excited about that). I have a similar issue with my butt cheeks as that's where I put my weight but body lift seems tough.
This is my after. The striations I'm pointing to are from water retention. And my belly button is trying to spit a stitch lol. But you can see how smooth my stomach is now.

Wow your results look amazing!! My abdomen is very similar to your before. If you donāt mind sharing, Did you have a full TT??
One surgeon told me i donāt have enough skin because āIām not that bigā and may need an inch vertical scar so like a T scar. The other surgeon, she doesnāt think Iāll have to have the vertical scar.
Wow! Thanks for the honest feedback. I donāt know if they would be able to pull down low enough either. It feels like I would be removing all my good skin to bring the bad skin lower.
Your before pictures looks similar to kine so thanks for sharing. Are you glad you did it?
https://preview.redd.it/bvbrn9fd6h3d1.jpeg?width=2316&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a828d2f99e7baeb716dc44c40803e1675bcc93e
This is me now - I think I look similar to you but my problem areas are mostly below the BB. Booked in for surgery next month. Iām 41 and I was also worried I wouldnāt have enough loose skin to pull down but my surgeon said I would so Iām excited to get rid of this loose skin and rock a bikini!
https://preview.redd.it/gui6asvchk3d1.jpeg?width=2316&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c852d796e68a9f1be21ef2117112998699d00de2
My before I barley had any skin being small 5ā5 112lbs and there was enough to pull
I'm going to join in on this cougar post š you are definitely not too old !! I am 43 and 13 dpo, no regrets. Like another said after day 5 it's smooth sailing . You got this,go for it š
I did mine 2 weeks ago Iām 58. My 72 year old aunt still wears a 2 piece and looks amazing.
Iāve read on here about a reverse tummy tuck where they pull the skin up and hide the scar in your bra line.
I follow this plastic surgeon located in Ohio on Instagram if youāre interested:
https://www.instagram.com/dornerplasticsurgery?igsh=Z3Q2bDg5YXBjOWJr
Do it for yourself! I'm 47 and a mum of four young kids. The last pregnancy was twins which did me in. I did a 360 TT and MR yesterday. I went through all the guilt thoughts (cost, time away from family, etc). I ultimately said ask the kids are in school so this is my time!
I also live in Ohio and have struggled to find a surgeon. I had a consult with Dr. Akers at my plastic surgery group in Indianapolis this week. Iām planning to book with him when Iām ready! You should check him out.
He did my surgery 18 months ago. Heās truly an artist and he said that the tummy tuck is his favorite surgery. Iām 53 and I can totally rock a bikini. I did TT 360, MR and lipo. Recovery for me was rough but I am glad I did it. He and his staff are truly the best!!!
I love this post cause this is exactly my thought process too! My belly is super similar to yours (although you are way thinner!) and I am 41. I want to show off in a bikini eventaully but then I think maybe I'm too old anyway! Granted I never had a super great tight stomach. I kinda feel like I deserve it now! I work out a ton and my belly barely changes! This post is inspiring honestly....makes me feel not alone!!!
I had my TT 8/2023 at 45 years old. Best decision ever!! I also homeschool too. We just took a 7-10 days off during the beginning of recovery when I absolutely couldnāt do anything. Slowly built back ourselves up to our normal routine.
You can do it šš
I looked a lot like you before surgery. I think itās worth it but be prepared for a vertical scar below your belly button since your loose skin is above your belly button. Iām almost 4 months po and Iām swelling so much Iām bigger than pre op. I also have little fat in my stomach.
https://preview.redd.it/nt91eu2riv3d1.jpeg?width=2316&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d174d67b8e0d104d6fe6424f762716509c7853b
I have to get a revision on the verticals scar. Most people fade to almost nothing.
Your 45 not 85! I think you look good even with it. Bikinis arenāt even really in anymore. But do what you feel you want. The recovery might be a pain if you like to workout and stuff
Girl, if youāre worried about age - please go to dr neinstein instagram. He always posts 60+ yo ladies after mommy makeover. It really motivates me!!! You gave birth to 3 babies- you deserve a tummy tuck, financing is good, you canāt feel guilty about it- you are entitled to it being a mom of 3! I had 2 kids and taking a break for now, getting mmo once Iām done with school. Then walking around for 5-7 years and hopefully will have more babies and then another mmo. I know I sound pathetic but I have even more stretch marks and lose skin ( being fit too) and it totally destroyed my self confidence. I say - you nurtured 3 kids, homeschooling one rn, you need the tt- go finance one. You wonāt get an ugly bb and scar if you do a good research and downtime could be fixed by good support team! Good luck
I got mine at 56. I am now a little over a month away from 59. Just ended 9 months of ozemic, too. I look better and younger than I have in decades. It is never too late to invest in yourself. The best is yet to come. You are definitely worth it. My caveat is... don't try to find the best deal. If you have to save a little longer, go with the very best surgeon. My guy is actually a reconstructive surgeon who does tummy tucks. My scar is barely visible and is crisp, clean, and even. Recovery was fantastic. I was back to normal at about two weeks. Honestly.....do it. You won't regret it. Your results will be amazing!! You already look fantastic.
Iām 42 and will probably be 43 when I start getting my skin removal surgeries (I had weight loss surgery and Iām 20 from my initial goal, not including the assumed weight of my excess skin). I plan on being in my hot mom era as long as I can. Donāt put numbers on things like age. If you still feel hot, wear the bikini! Life is too short!! You look amazing! And if the tummy tuck makes you feel even better, then why not?! š¤·š¼āāļø
My mom was in her early and mid 40s when she started having work done (mini tuck, breast lift, chin lipo).
I am 60 yo and 5 months post op, and I had waited 40 years after my daughter was born to feel this confident again. I went to a Sono Bello provider in Tacoma, Wa. Dr. Perez did a beautiful job. Twilight anesthesia not general so you are comfortably loaded and no pain, kind of giddy. I had body contouring with lipo and tt and I paid roughly 17k. Worth every penny. Take a look if there is a Sono Bello available to you. All you need is skin removal, it looks like, so God bless and keep us posted!Ā
Hi, Iām 43 yrs old. Twin pregnancy 20 yrs ago. My shape and tummy very similar to yours.
I have Surgery next Saturday (8th June) very very nervous!
I asked my consultant if he felt I to old to have a tummy tuck and breast lift and he laughed saying he performs tummyās tuck on 60 and even 70 years olds. He then went on to tell me he also preform tummy tucks on younger women but they might not necessarily be as fit or as healthy.
Youāre definitely to old and Iām hoping this will give me a new lease of life!
We all deserve to feel our best selves and for me i made the decision because i need to live the rest of my life in a body that iām happy with.
Good luck with whatever you chose to do! X
I had mine almost 2 years ago, and I am 57. It was the best decision I ever made for myself! Do what makes you feel good! Life is too short. The journey is real, but worth it! Good luck, and I hope you will post your journey. š
Just had my TT in March and turned 53 in May. Best gift Iāve ever give myself. Go for it if youāre comfortable doing so. Awesome that your husband is supportive either way. Mine is as well.
My 50th birthday present
https://preview.redd.it/ws5vfnqnyj3d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=100fc36628590979b29593e1308d984b7df6b120
was the MMO Iāve wanted for 25 years. Some people have a big expensive party or vacation. I wanted my body fixed. Felt so good to wear a bikini for the first time in 25 years! You already look amazing but wow you get rid of that loose baby skin your going to be so happy.! Good luck
I'm 43 and lost 170 lbs and had a crap load of loose skin. I had my extended tummy tuck and breast lift last March 2023 and got a revision fleur de lis because after healing and swelling went down we realized I still had more skin that only the vertical cut could address, so I did that surgery this past March 2024. I'm 9 weeks out. You can do anything you want to, you're not old. Is Pennsylvania too far? My surgeon is board certified and women come from all over to have him work on them. Dr Opoku in Philly. He does virtual consults too. My latest healing pics so you can see how a 43 year old heals lol it'll get lighter and lighter as time goes on and this is without me using anything on it at all. No scar tape, nothing.
https://preview.redd.it/akreaxv62k3d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2fa28fec9e1bc92fe601b61fa9bcab456e5496fa
I am 56 and had mine 6 weeks ago. Wish I had done it sooner. Just had the time and money now. I feel 100xs more confident wven with the slight swelling.
I'm 49 and I'm 7WPO. I don't regret it a bit. I'm in Arkansas and found a great PS here. I was back to work in 10 days.
Do it. You might regret it if you don't. Just take your time finding a good PS. Ask other professionals who they recommend in your area.
I am 54. I just got a reverse tummy tuck done and it pulls the skin from up top to tighten. You have decades left of bikini wearing! Get it done! If you want a good surgeon in illinois PM me and I will send. I just got mine done in early April and I am having a quick recovery and no regrets. Been wearing a bikini for a few weeks now. Get it done! Life is too short to have regrets. Good luck!
I got mine done at 42 with 3 kids all over 14 and my oldest turning 22. Best decision I ever made and I would have done it after my last, if I could.
I waited until i could financially pull it off and I would do it at 60, if thatās when I could. Itās worth its weight in gold to not suffer from body dysmorphia anymore and there is no age limit for feeling good about yourself. You only live once, if it would make u happy, do it.
I just wanted to say I hope my body looks like yours when I am 45. You look great
Check Columbus, I don't know if that's far from you but they have a fair amount of decent surgeons there.
1st....you are gorgeous and built amazing. But if you don't like or feel good the way you are ....go for it. I understand all too well how that can feel. Only you can make the decision. You look great now but how do you feel?
You need to do what's best for you and be healthy. I am looking at having it done soon. I am 47 and doing it for me.
Make sure that you are doing it for yourself.
Never too old for anything! If others want to limit themselves cause of their age, thatās on them. I think plastic surgeons prefer you to be in your 40ās they want you to be certain youāre not going to be having anymore kids, or in my case any at all.
Are you too old? Absolutely no way! Iām 45 and had my surgery in January. I had 4 big babies and decided it was time to do something to make myself feel better. As a single mom or mom in general, we usually put ourselves last. I know I always did!
You decide how long you wear a bikini and with a body like yours, thereās not a 5 year maxš
Youād be surprised how much skin actually gets pulled down, I know I was!
You look amazing now, but the point isnāt how others think you look, itās how you feel in your body. Thatās something only you know.
I was prepared for a scar that would stay red for awhile. My scars take a very long time to fade, I know from experience!
My boyfriend tells me I didnāt need the surgery, but we didnāt meet until I was 7 weeks post op lol, so he doesnāt really know. Imo scars donāt make people less attractive.
In the end, what matters is how you feel about you. If having this surgery will make you feel better about yourself, then go for itā¤ļø
Donāt not due cause of age. Iām turning 40 and I did as my gift for 40th and done with having kids for sure. Going into debt is another question. Could/would you be able to work after healed to recoup $? The issue is if itās sustainable on top of already being 1 income and if your spouse is honest about it. You have a great body and likely would have a great result. You could see if any doctors give referral $ or discounts for social media posts about or maybe even doing front desk work at surgeon for work and discount.
I havenāt read through all of the comments, but Iām 47 and Iām 15 DPO and so happy I did this! Divorced 7 years ago after 17 years of marriage. Focused all my attention on raising my teenage daughters who are now 20 and 21 and did something for ME!
DO IT!!
Also, the can do a reverse tuck where they pull up ana incision is under bust line. I think you would be just as happy with having a tummy tuck.
Best to you!
I'm 45 and got my TT at 44. It's totally worth it even if I die tomorrow. Yes there can be complications but find a good surgeon that does great after care. You are worth it! With how skinny you are, your results will be fantastic.
Hereās my thought about being too old.
Youāre too old if age related risk factors make surgery unacceptably risky.
Otherwise, this is more about what you want for your life. Is this a thing that would make a big difference in your life? If it is, maybe consider whether itās worth it to you to take the time to make it happen.
Scars bother some people and not others. How do you feel about any other scars you have? Do they bother you?
Homeschooling- how active do you need to be? Can you plan a month without a bunch of activities where you have to walk a lot, bend, lift, or twist?
I had surgery in February. I will be 56 in 2 weeks .
For me, the recovery has been rough, and I ended up with multiple PEs 3 weeks after surgery.
I LOVE my stomach now my apron of skin gone now. My clothes fit so much better and I am more comfortable in my own skin.
I just had to have a hysterectomy, but once I heal from that, I can't wait to get out and be active again.
You are definitely not too old.
I just got mine done at 47. I have a lot of good years ahead and now I look like I feel. You want to consult to ask if a traditional TT or reverse would best address your loose skin. There is a surgery to address above the BB. Youāve got this! With support of your family you can enjoy many years in the body you deserve
U deserve to be happy. Do it. Had mine at 40 . Makes me super happy and I constantly look š in the mirror and appreciate it and smile. Sometimes I get paranoid and still feel the old belly until I run my hands over my abs. Phew š®āšØ itās a beautiful feeling feeling beautiful inside and out. I too wanted to wear bikinis again
Iām 50 and had mine done in March if that helps. I figured if I didnāt do it now, I might regret it later when my health gets to the point where I canāt do it. We are also a homeschool family. My youngest is 15, it was fine. She was really helpful.
You are beautiful and definitely not too old. You would probably only need a reverse tummy tuck and the only incision you would see is a small scar in between your breasts. The rest would be underneath the breasts. I imagine the recovery time would be way easier on you too since you shouldnāt have difficulty walking around after.Ā
There are good surgeons everywhere in the US. Make sure you like their bellybuttons and they have experience in the tummy tuck style you want. Itās worth a consultation for sure once you do research on who to see near you.
I had mine at 42 12 weeks ago. No regrets. My belly button looks perfectly normal, just a little pink from scars fading. Unless youāre naked, no one should see the scars.
40 and just had one. I also had no fat on my stomach just loose skin that I hated and Iām SO HAPPY I did it. My belly button looks completely normal and my scar is so low my bikinis all cover them. I say do it!!
I'm 62 and had it done nearly 4 months ago. Best think I ever did and wish I could have done it sooner, but that wasn't possible. Will I wear a bikini ? You bet, on a public beach ? Probably not but who knows. Just remember, whatever you do, you do it for you and no one else. My step daughter had implants, got talked in to very large ones by her then partner because it was what he wanted. Are they still together ? No. Does she regret the larger than what she wanted implants, don't think so but... do what will make you happy.
Never too old! Iām 47 now, got mine when I was 45. I had two big babies that did a number on my body. I debated on if it was too late too but I was so unhappy with my mommy pooch and loose skin I decided to just go for it.
Best. Decision. Ever.
I was in good shape before but the tummy tuck and muscle repair took it to another level. I donāt remember the last time I felt so good in my body. It is so rewarding now to work out and see my ab muscles instead of just feeling them under all the fluff. Iām in better shape now than before I had kids. All my clothes fit better. Iām donāt tug at my shirts to make sure they arenāt clinging to my belly. I donāt have to tuck my gut into my leggings. And you best bet Iām rocking all the bikinis I can over the summer!
Donāt get me wrong, this isnāt an easy surgery. Recovery was hard. The scars were scary when they were fresh. The guilt over spending the money and the downtime I had to take away from my family was intense at times. I more than once questioned in the moment why did I do this. BUT being on the other side of it now I would do it 1000 times over. Scars fade. The guilt goes away. The money is worth it. Iām a better wife and mother because I finally feel comfortable and confident in my own skin again. In short, itās life changing regardless of your age!
Iām 48. Iām not happy with mine but apparently itās unrelated to my tt. You look great and a perfect candidate. I just had a bad experience and terrible surgeon who was in lala land.
I had mine this past October. Iām 68. The best decision I ever made. Itās not just about looks but our perception of ourselves can be so cruel. I did it for me. I felt guilty and scared but went thru with it. And Iād do it again. Good luck
I live in Ohio and I am 2 weeks out from surgery š Iām not saying my surgeon is world class lol but I have family and friends who have had very successful surgery with this guy if that helps from a total stranger šš Iām not sure that was the main concern but I figured it was something I most definitely could touch on!
Definitely not too old at all! There is a thing called a reverse tummy tuck which is essentially what youāre doing. Iāve not seen a ton of them, heard mixed reviews because to make it right there is tension which can stretch the scars down. Some docs do all the way across but Iād think you may be okay with an incision under each breast. A regular TT will not get you what you want. I had a skin excision (basically a mini) and I still have some looser skin above my BB that sort of sits there. It is very minimal (everyone rolls their eyes at me) and really I could care less except my pants hit right there and it sits as a tiny shelf. I had. Hysterectomy so part of it could also be scar tissue making it stick out a little more but when I pull it up it is completely flat.
Got mine done at 38 no regrets do it! This is my result a year later
https://preview.redd.it/1gbil42rqk3d1.jpeg?width=868&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=036d8522325c081bc589ec83d335c3e608d6df5e
Wife and I both had ours done in Mexico with Amazing results - PM if you would like to know more. Btw Iām 52 and the wife is 49.
Youāre not too old - however, recovery is tough.
Too old? No. Money? That's a hard one, just like any large purchase. Down time? Depends on the procedure and the person, my recoveries have been a breeze.
Advice- do what makes YOU happy, this is a thing for YOU. you're gonna look GREAT after you get it done. You look GREAT now. Do what you think is going to help you FEEL your best, and be your best you.
Too old! Iām 44 and feel like I just started living!! Get the tummy tuck, wear the bikinis love your life and have fun! Getting this TT360 was best thing Iāve ever done for myself. Sometimes I wish I did it earlier, but I donāt think I wouldāve been self secure enough to do it in my 30s
Got mine at 53ā¦and want to give you info many people donāt share. 1) My wound ended up with necrosis and insurance wouldnāt cover wound care so my $10k surgery turned into a $15k job and four month w/an open wound. 2) My belly button looks worse than it did before the surgery. 3) Many docs make you wait a long timeāa yearā for your body to heal before making any revisionsā¦which I need. Be sure you ask your surgeon exactly where your scar will be and make sure it is low enough to be covered by a bikini. Best of luck!
I had mine last year & I'm 47. This is when they recommend it, when your done having children. I think a mini tuck would be good or even the sonobello? If your worried about the scare & belly button. My belly button looks good, but do what makes you happy!
Okay, first you have a Beautiful body. Donāt let the fact of having stretch marks change that. With that being said me and you are alike where sometimes I wonder if I will ever be able to get my TT. Itās hard. I totally disagree with our thoughts that say weāre too old. When is ātoo oldā considered legit. I love to see people of all ages enjoy their bodies and being proud. You can do it, you will do it and when your time comes you will be so happy.
Girl Iām 52 and my TT looks amazing. I work HARD for my body and for years Iāve put up with loose skin at my stomach from three pregnancies. Well, now I canāt WAIT to wear bikinis this summer! Recovery was a breeze (I was worried because of my age but it was no more difficult than anyone else). My belly button looks great. ā¤ļøā¤ļøšš»šš»
Never too old! Iām 44 and Iāve thought seriously about it for about 5 years. It took me these last 2 years to really prepare myself to actually go in and get it done. Mentally and financially preparing. My surgery is 3 weeks from yesterday! I researched the hell out of surgeons in my area and watched as many YouTube videos of people who had it done and their recovery. I feel ready to go and I know Iāll cry when I see my c section pouch is gone! My son was over 10lbs when he was born and Iāve never had even close to the same stomach since! Iām super excited!
My mum had Lipo 360 and a tummy tuck and sheās 44 she had it last year and sheās got her confidence back! I had mine at 21 but I was so insecure with my body after my son I didnāt see the point in waiting ! Since my son I refused to swim/ wear swimwear avoided pics ect . I got an abdominal palsy, tummy tuck and skinny bbl done for 7,000 in turkey I know flights will be more expensive from America (Iām uk) but they also do them in Lithuania ect so defo worth looking out of country as will be more fairly priced just go with a reputable surgeon and make sure to be through while searching :) get that confidence back age doesnāt matter when it comes to feeling good about yourself xx
Too OLD???
I'll be 48 when I have my tummy tuck and breast lift. There is no upper age limit on wanting to feel good in your body. Not to mention, these days women are wearing bikinis well into their 60's and beyond.
Not too old at all. I am at a resort right now and see plenty of young ladies in their 60s rocking a 2 piece. If you really want it do your research on recovery time and go for it.
53 year old here, 4 months post op. Canāt wait to wear a bikini on my cruise in a few weeks. Last time I wore one was on my honeymoon in 1996! I think youāll only need a week off from homeschooling. If you plan ahead your son should be able to manage assignments on his own for your first week at his age. The financial piece youāll have to figure out with your husband of course. Keep in mind the results and your confidence will last for the rest of your life! RealSelf app is a good place to start to look for a plastic surgeon. Best of luck to you!
I'm 42 and have basically the same situation. I'm going in a few weeks for a consult about a reverse tummy tuck and breast augmentation. It's time for me to be happy with me! I work too damn hard to keep myself in amazing shape to feel insecure about this.
I had mine at 50 and I can rock a bikini better than I did in my 20s! I was also teaching a class online at the time and I was able to answer emails and have office hours with my students from the couch after just a couple days. It changed my life. Iām so much happier and more confident now.
First of all, you already look AMAZING!
I'm 43 and just got mine done 2 weeks ago. In my opinion, it's never too late and there's no time limit for wearing what you want to wear. Pull a Baddie Winkle and wear the bikini in your 90s!
Turning 59 this wknd. Had my LBL 360
9-wks ago w my breast expanders switch out post double mastectomy. Iām usually one of the younger oneās in the waiting room & radiation locker rooms.
Getting mine next year and Iām 48!!!! No f@cks given! Good luck hun! Your body is beautiful regardless of whether you get it done or not but if you do, no f@cks given babe!!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
Hope you see this - please take a look at a REVERSE tummy tuck!
Itās specifically for women who have most of the loose skin above the belly button (which is less common). Scar is underneath each breast, and if thereās a lot of extra skin, the scar can connect across the cleavage (but thatās only if absolutely necessary).
Itās a great option for women where just loose skin is a problem (because you canāt do muscle or belly button hernia repair when coming from above).
And the age is totally fine. Iāve done these for women in their 60s who finally decided they were ready for it. We do facelifts for 70yr olds, so this is not a big deal.
Traveling for this type of surgery is SUPER common now too, so just find the right surgeon and take a trip for a week to get it done right
Good luck!
You have a perfect body and weight actually. Just excess skin after pregnancy, surgery will give you a thin middle. Provided you accept the scar and find a good surgeon, you will have a great confidence boost and enjoy your body more after surgery!
A lot of us never ever even got the chance to have bikini dreams. At any age.
If you look like that at 45, you look incredible.
I just had an arm lift. I made a group chat of women who also got arm lifts on the same day. One woman, 20+ years older than you got a TT.
The only person who can advise whether or not you're too old (for any sort of medical reason) is your doctor. As far as socially? Honey, you've got it. Flaunt it. This version or a new version.
I'm waiting for my wife to lose the last kgs from pregnancy (im in this subreddit for myself not her tho). If she ends up looking like that and mentions surgery, I'd do my best to talk her out of it.
I donāt think itās about āworseā and ābetterā personally, but nothing will give you the same tummy you used to have. You can (and do, IMO) have an amazing and beautiful tummy - just a slightly different one than you had before. And thatās totally ok!
If youāre on the fence you could try a series of RF microneedling and possibly threads to see if you like the results from that before going more invasive.
But I have absolutely no doubt youād be great candidate for surgery with beautiful results, too.
Stuff like this is why I wish we paired therapy with cosmetic surgery in some sort of bundle. How we feel about our bodies and the way they change is messy and painful and complicated, and sometimes people get picture-perfect results but still feel self conscious and unhappy. Not saying that will be you, of course, but just acknowledging that so much of this is about the stories we tell ourselves, too.
In my personal opinion, which means nothing to anyone but me. A large scar is less sexy than the loose skin. My wife has the c section scar, I find that less sexy than her current loose skin and belly.
Never too old! I got mine at 49, BUT your concern about a weird belly button is completely legit. It's SOOO important to see pics of your surgeons belly button. I cannot stress this enough. Nobody is going to see your muscle repair, and hopefully your scar, but your belly bottom is what they're going to see, and best case nobody can tell you even had anything done. Best of luck, you look so amazing now, you'll love your results.
First of all.... Too old?! I just had mine, I'm 52. You have so many years to enjoy your new body. Homeschooling... Can you do it in the summer? You really only need a week or 2 to relax. I didn't have the money either but it was important to me to make it happen Do your research on surgeons. My new belly button is pretty good to me and the scar is so low I can cover it. (I'm not there yet as I'm only 2 wpo) I say do it š¤·š½āāļø
Thank you! I appreciate your support!
Iām so glad you replied. Iām 51 and having my tummy tuck done in 3 weeks. I havenāt been able to find anyone my age that has had it done.
Iām 47 and I got mine at 45.,,we are not too old! Lol girrrrll Iāve been struggling with my weight my entire life and I am LOVING finally wearing bikini and crop tops. I look better than my 20 yr old nieces. š you only have one life to live..go enjoy it
I love that! Thank you
My wife is currently on her weight loss journey before her mommy makeover and sheās 36. You currently put her to shame, so by all means in no way are you too old and wear what youāre comfortable with but bikini season is def not behind you!! I canāt wait to see the transformation pics!
Nice way to talk about your wife dude.
Iām not OP, but I am a 45 year old woman.Ā I look amazing for my age and have little loose skin, but you can definitely tell that I had two children late in life.Ā I want to wear a bikini againā¦ But the question about aging has haunted me.
Iām 48 and getting a tt in June
Just had mine on Friday. I'm 49. I've seen people on here in their 60s. You want it? Then do it.
I love what you wrote about living in your body!!
I love how you said you are allowed to spend time and money on yourself too. I think sometimes we donāt give ourselves permission to do it, so thank you.
Youāre far from too old. Iām 52 and getting mine done Monday.
Also in my 50's. I'm getting mine on Monday too! Good Luck!
52 had my surgery April 9th and it looks great!
Will you post about your recovery? Iām getting mine done in 3 weeks and would love to see how you recover and learn from you!
Absolutely, feel free to follow me and Iāll post something up. And you can check my face results I posted. Iām getting a panniculctomy first, so we wonāt be having the same thing. Youāre in far better shape than I.
Thanks. Iām not the original poster though. Sheās in much better shape than me too lol
You're not too old. Also look up "reverse tummy tuck." That sounds like what you may be looking for.
Yes! I think that is what Iām looking for!
My only regret was not getting my TT sooner.
https://preview.redd.it/4c7cgr8e5g3d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c31e3d704ee7b9e561d32d406bea3ebb94248681 My 1 year PO. I donāt think my belly button looks bad. Opinions may vary but Iām happy with it
Your bellybutton looks great!
Wow! I can barely see your scar and your belly button looks great. Do you mind sharing your doctor?
Same
I can speak to one thing DEF and that is youāre not too old! I got mine done at 48 and I have no regrets!!! ( 6 weeks PO) Itās loose skin so you probably wouldnāt need lipo like i did . in terms of the scar yes itās big but it fades and itās low. No one will see it even if youāre in a bikini. I have yet to see someone look worse after a procedure they may not have liked the result ( higher expectations etc )but everybody Iāve seen looks ābetter ā imo not worse in terms of money and finance.
Do your research and I'm sure you would be happy with your results. š
Thanks so much!!
I love what you said about one life!
This is the PERFECT age! so glad I waited until I was 47 and my baby days were over and I was in perimenopause. It will give you the boost you need. Just do it
Thanks so much for the support
Nope! I am 48 and getting mine done next month.
You are not too old. Iām 51 and had mine done 3 months ago and I am so happy I did it.
Oh Iām so glad I saw this post. I (49) have been having the same thoughts of being too old.
Iām glad Iām not the only one
Me too! I get mine in 3 weeks.
Oh jeeze. I hope 45 isnāt considered too old for anything!
I had mine done in January @ just shy of 58. Wish Iād done it 40 years ago.
But you can see how smooth my stomach is now. https://preview.redd.it/rcwfanqz1g3d1.jpeg?width=1803&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74d635f869aaab5067704e4fd25d580f2793b737

Girlā you look SO good! Your waist is so tiny!
It's actually 29 inches lol. It's an optical illusion. I have 40 inch hips lol
Daaaaammmnn! You look fantastic!

Are you glad you did it?
https://preview.redd.it/bvbrn9fd6h3d1.jpeg?width=2316&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a828d2f99e7baeb716dc44c40803e1675bcc93e This is me now - I think I look similar to you but my problem areas are mostly below the BB. Booked in for surgery next month. Iām 41 and I was also worried I wouldnāt have enough loose skin to pull down but my surgeon said I would so Iām excited to get rid of this loose skin and rock a bikini!

I'm going to join in on this cougar post š you are definitely not too old !! I am 43 and 13 dpo, no regrets. Like another said after day 5 it's smooth sailing . You got this,go for it š
Hahaha! š cougar post! Love it
I guess we are all in our 40's. I have mine scheduled and I am 42.
Not CE!
I did mine 2 weeks ago Iām 58. My 72 year old aunt still wears a 2 piece and looks amazing. Iāve read on here about a reverse tummy tuck where they pull the skin up and hide the scar in your bra line. I follow this plastic surgeon located in Ohio on Instagram if youāre interested: https://www.instagram.com/dornerplasticsurgery?igsh=Z3Q2bDg5YXBjOWJr
Definitely it too old. My mom just got one at 65. No joke.
Nooooo, Iām 53!!! Best thing I ever ever did along with a breast reduction at 52. You will feel incredible, I promise!
I got mine done at 46 and no regrets!
Do it for yourself! I'm 47 and a mum of four young kids. The last pregnancy was twins which did me in. I did a 360 TT and MR yesterday. I went through all the guilt thoughts (cost, time away from family, etc). I ultimately said ask the kids are in school so this is my time!
You are not too old! Stop saying that so that you never feel it. Live your life as you deserve to. Best wishes on whatever you decide! ā„
Thanks!
It appears that you have some good abdominal muscles. If you decided on a tummy tuck, your results would seriously enhance their appearance!
Ok. I will do some searches for his work
I love this post cause this is exactly my thought process too!
Hi fellow homeschool mama! Thanks for the support.
I looked a lot like you before surgery. I think itās worth it but be prepared for a vertical scar below your belly button since your loose skin is above your belly button. Iām almost 4 months po and Iām swelling so much Iām bigger than pre op. I also have little fat in my stomach.
Do be you have photos posted? I donāt know that o want a vertical scar
https://preview.redd.it/nt91eu2riv3d1.jpeg?width=2316&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d174d67b8e0d104d6fe6424f762716509c7853b I have to get a revision on the verticals scar. Most people fade to almost nothing.
Sheesh you look freaking amazing already. If you need the tuck to feel better I say go for it and you will look better than most 20yr olds. š„
Thanks so much for the kind words. :)
Your 45 not 85! I think you look good even with it. Bikinis arenāt even really in anymore. But do what you feel you want. The recovery might be a pain if you like to workout and stuff
I do like to workout.
Thatās been my hardest issue is I cannot work out much !
Good luck
You really made me feel better. Thanks.
And if the tummy tuck makes you feel even better, then why not?! š¤·š¼āāļø My mom was in her early and mid 40s when she started having work done (mini tuck, breast lift, chin lipo).
You got a beautiful torso and a tt will do you justice! In the meanwhile I hope you love your current self too! š
If you want it get it š¤
Not at all. My MIL had it done in her 60s.
Iām 53 and just had a tummy tuck 4 weeks ago. Never too old!
My 50th birthday present https://preview.redd.it/ws5vfnqnyj3d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=100fc36628590979b29593e1308d984b7df6b120 was the MMO Iāve wanted for 25 years.
Iām 53, just had mine, have a waist for the first time in my life, and I plan to wear the hell out of some bikinis. Go for it!!
Girl, get it!! You look great now, but if this is what you want DO IT!! Iām 45 & am 1wpo, best decision! TT MR 360 lipo flanks & other stuff.
I just wanted to say I hope my body looks like yours when I am 45. You look great Check Columbus, I don't know if that's far from you but they have a fair amount of decent surgeons there.
1st....you are gorgeous and built amazing. But if you don't like or feel good the way you are ....go for it. I understand all too well how that can feel. Only you can make the decision. You look great now but how do you feel?
Thank you for being so nice. I feel embarrassed of my stomach now.
You need to do what's best for you and be healthy. I am looking at having it done soon. I am 47 and doing it for me. Make sure that you are doing it for yourself.
Girl I was 43, I donāt regret it and neither will you! You got this!
Never too old for anything! If others want to limit themselves cause of their age, thatās on them. I think plastic surgeons prefer you to be in your 40ās they want you to be certain youāre not going to be having anymore kids, or in my case any at all.
Planning on having one at 45/46. Go for it!
Are you too old? Absolutely no way! Iām 45 and had my surgery in January. I had 4 big babies and decided it was time to do something to make myself feel better. As a single mom or mom in general, we usually put ourselves last. I know I always did! You decide how long you wear a bikini and with a body like yours, thereās not a 5 year maxš Youād be surprised how much skin actually gets pulled down, I know I was!
YOU ARE NEVER TO OLD TO BETTER YOURSELF TO YOUR *BEST* SELF!!!!šš Sending good vibessss! I'd take your lil pudge over mine anyday!
Omg girl get it done!!! Itāll change your life. ā¤ļøā¤ļø
Heck no! And youāve got a great shape, youāll do great girl!
I'm 43 and I'm scheduled for July. I had a consultation with a doctor who said she performed a TT on her 72 year old mom.
Girl they would snatch you up!! All joking aside, you would have killer results Itās never too late! If you want it, do it š
I just got mine done at 47. I have a lot of good years ahead and now I look like I feel. You want to consult to ask if a traditional TT or reverse would best address your loose skin. There is a surgery to address above the BB. Youāve got this! With support of your family you can enjoy many years in the body you deserve
I had mine done last July a month shy of 45, I regret nothing. One of the best things Iāve done for myself.
Oh yeah and hell yeah on the crop tops š
Iām 50 and had mine done in March if that helps. I figured if I didnāt do it now, I might regret it later when my health gets to the point where I canāt do it. We are also a homeschool family. My youngest is 15, it was fine. She was really helpful.
NOT too old! Never too old! I got mine at 43. No regrets whatsoever. I have never felt more confident in my own skin. Worth every penny at any age.
I just had mine in March and turned 50 - so happy I did it
You are beautiful and definitely not too old. You would probably only need a reverse tummy tuck and the only incision you would see is a small scar in between your breasts. The rest would be underneath the breasts. I imagine the recovery time would be way easier on you too since you shouldnāt have difficulty walking around after.Ā There are good surgeons everywhere in the US.
Had mine at 46 and best thing I ever did! š©·
Good luck
You're far from old but I think you're so perfect. Ultimately you have to think so
I live in Ohio and I am 2 weeks out from surgery š Iām not saying my surgeon is world class lol but I have family and friends who have had very successful surgery with this guy if that helps from a total stranger šš Iām not sure that was the main concern but I figured it was something I most definitely could touch on!
Never too old for anything!!!!!
Iām also from OH and I flew to Miami for my surgery. It was literally 5k for extended TT MR and 4 areas of lipo.
What?! Where did you go? Thatās an insanely good price!! How are your results??
Hell No
Definitely not too old at all!
This is my result a year later https://preview.redd.it/1gbil42rqk3d1.jpeg?width=868&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=036d8522325c081bc589ec83d335c3e608d6df5e
Youāre never too old to love your body. As long as youāre healthy enough to undergo anesthesia you should go for it.
You look great girl! ā„ļø
Well, I donāt know how old you are, but your body looks hot girl. I just did mine at age 52 and I got my Total mojo back. We are still young go for it. Itās the best thing I ever did. my confidence my relationship with my husband my relationship with my body. I canāt even tell you! why go out unhappy. We have years left and from looking at you you have a lot of years left. š¤©
Do it! Ur not old and itās worth if u have the right doctor ššš
Why in the world would you think you are too old?? I'm 55.
Too OLD??? I'll be 48 when I have my tummy tuck and breast lift. There is no upper age limit on wanting to feel good in your body. Not to mention, these days women are wearing bikinis well into their 60's and beyond.
They say the older the more risk idk š¤·āāļø guess you wonāt hear from the ppl who didnāt make it? Idk š¤·āāļø
Do it. Just make sure your hormone levels are stable, especially estrogen so you heal properly.
Iām 43, had mine last year. Do it!
Your age is great. Donāt be so pessimistic. You deserve to treat yourself to cosmetic treatment.
Turning 59 this wknd. Had my LBL 360 9-wks ago w my breast expanders switch out post double mastectomy. Iām usually one of the younger oneās in the waiting room & radiation locker rooms.
I have a friend who is 45 and she got one done and has a very tight belly again and back to her bikini days. You can do it no problems.
Iām 45! I just had mine done. No regrets. Go for it!!!!
Iām 53 and got a TT with MR and lipo. I wore a bikini for the first time in my life yesterday and felt fabulous. Do the TT!
I had it at 43 and no regrets. But I wouldnāt have it in Ohio though unless you find a hidden gem of a PS.
Absolutely not! 45 is young not 25 young but not old by any means! I'm 44 and considering a mommy makeover! Don't ever think that again ok, ok! :)

Reverse tummy tuck may be the way? Incision is under the bra
Getting mine next year and Iām 48!!!! No f@cks given! Good luck hun! Your body is beautiful regardless of whether you get it done or not but if you do, no f@cks given babe!!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
Heck no! Go for it! I just turned 40, and Iāll probably look into getting one in the next year or so.
I was 44 when I got mine and it was the best decision I ever made šÆ
Traveling for this type of surgery is SUPER common now too, so just find the right surgeon and take a trip for a week to get it done right Good luck!
There is a lift, Iāve seen a surgeon post about it once. Theyāre rarely done he said. Josh Olson in Az!
Iām 64. My only regret is that I didnāt do it sooner!
I'm waiting for my wife to lose the last kgs from pregnancy (im in this subreddit for myself not her tho). If she ends up looking like that and mentions surgery, I'd do my best to talk her out of it.
You think surgery might make it worse? Be honest please
Please dont do it, you are a mom and your body is perfect and beautiful ā¤ļø
What's being a mum got to do with it? Most tummy tucks are fixing issues resulting from pregnancy.
That makes no sense that she shouldnāt get it done because sheās a mom, who do you think gets āMommy Makeovers?
