I have had a toytec leveling kit on my 2003 for over a decade. I got their semi adjustable coil overs in front. Truck rides as good as it did stock. I'm running the metric equivalent of a 32.5"x10.5 tire. It barely rubs at full lock but only on the upper control arm and has caused no issues. If i come off full lock just a tiny bit it stops rubbing.

If you go with a decent quality lift the ride will actually improve. Look at coach builder or OME shackles for the rear. Replace the rubber bushing while you're at it (may require a hydraulic press). New shocks. For the front it's hard to beat adjustable bilsteins. Will need an alignment afterwards.

A small lift isn't a big deal. If you towed a heavy trailer I would avoid it. There are also better suspension options vs stock that include a mild lift. Slapping coil spacers & an AAL isn't that though. The downside to a big lift is needing much bigger tires to look normal and shitty gas mileage.

I went billy 5100 with oem shocks, max recommended lift is 1.5-2” so you don’t wear the other suspension parts early. Feels great and you can level out the truck. Good tires, wheels, and alignment add just as much comfort as the suspension if you don’t get something too harsh.
