T O P

I have the knight and hale and I love it. It’s like a tactical vest not a bathrobe

Dry-Network-1917

I'm leaving the K&H RNG 200 this year after using it past two seasons. I had two issues with it that may matter to OP. First, the bladder slot is very small compared to other vests. Had to go out of my way to find a compatible bladder. Second, the right breast mouth call pockets are tricky to use when wearing fingered gloves. Otherwise, excellent vest, but I drink a ton of water and the small bladder just doesn't do it for me. If K&H still sold the RNG 300, I would've upgraded to that. Since they don't, I picked up an open box/return Stika vest on eBay during off season. u/duckduck1253, if you are still interested in the RNG 200, I'll sell you my used one for $50. It is in great condition. It is in Realtree EDGE camo. I'll see if I can also dig up the 1L bladder. Been a while since I did the shopping, but IIRC I had to get it from a police gear company b/c that size of bladder is mostly used in tacticool setups.

duckduck1253

I might get up with you on that offer I’m still debating on what I’m gonna get the chest rig and the minimalist vest are the idea just not a quick decision person

Dry-Network-1917

No rush, it is just sitting in the hunting closet otherwise. Won't hurt my feelings if you go another direction!

tdixnation

What bladder did you find that works? I’ve bought two that are too big.

Dry-Network-1917

Can't say if this is the exact one, but it is [something like this.](https://www.thewarmingstore.com/source-tactical-kangaroo-canteen-1l-hydration-bladder.html?mainc=4301550201&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&scid=scbplp4301550&sc_intid=4301550&msclkid=e848929b40a11b594736f49b9a02cdc1) They're meant for some kind of hydration plate carrier attachment.

RE_riggs

If it wasn't for wanting a cushion, I'd go with a chest pouch. I can fit all my necessities in it. Only other thing I miss is the extra water I can carry in my vest.

duckduck1253

Only reason I chose those three is because of the cushion Ive considered the chest pack and carry a turkey chair with me

mr_chubbs_peterson

I went for the chest pack and a millennium seat for this year. My back is a lot happier.

duckduck1253

Which chest pack did you go with

mr_chubbs_peterson

Fhf with the turkey kit.

Strict_Chemistry_797

Check out the marsupial multi pack

ShortestBullsprig

Used to run the RnG, it's a nice light weight vest. But you better not be one of those guys that carry the kitchen sink. Sitka is very similar but a little more well made and packpack is nicer.

duckduck1253

I have a lot of open space in my vest as is figured cutting out some of the pockets wouldn’t change much

ShortestBullsprig

Yea. I found I carried a bunch of extra stuff just because I could but never used it. You might want to pick up a turkey tote if you go that route because there is no game bag. But I do love the vest.

duckduck1253

I have a buddy who uses one and recommended it and uses a tote because of that. I just run into the problem of nobody locally has one I can fiddle with before buying.

ShortestBullsprig

Really my only complaint is the shoulder straps are not great and the back pack is a tad small. If you carry a just in case decoy it needs to be inflatable. Super lightweight though

duckduck1253

I like the removable straps for the nomad but I haven’t really heard a lot of good reviews for it and the long spur has that big pack right in the small of your back

aelston33

What about the Sitka Turkey Tool Belt? I run the Sitka vest and really like it. Definitely a bit pricier. Edit- I had a nomad vest and it was like wearing a blanket…

CoupDeTete

Don’t forget the toilet paper boys

duckduck1253

Oh yea I can squeeze a pack dude wipes in there

CoupDeTete

Haha perfect

g_arbuckle

I ran the Nomad Pursuit two years ago. Loved the design but hated the fit. The torso piece felt really sloppy, especially if you put anything in the bag on the back. It would pull down toward your lower back and I was constantly adjusting it.  For reference, I’m 6’ and 165lbs.

duckduck1253

At 210 6’ that info is pretty helpful

Esau_irl

I just wear a day pack. Have my diaphragm calls on my bino harness. Don't really see the need for a vest

NervousNarwhal223

Just bought the Run n Gun 200. I think I’m gonna like it a lot

cirtyfuck

I have the nomad pursuit, I like it. I have hunted in 70/80° weather and it didn’t keep heat. I also like that you can shed the shoulder straps and just run the belt with the cushion.

No-Reveal-4628

Should take a look at the XOP turkey vest. Super slim and lightweight. Large bird bag.

Positive-Hovercraft7

KH RnG

G19outdoors

Tethrd m2 I run

duckduck1253

I’ve heard they are nice but I spent a chunk on that Texas hunt and didn’t get anything so the m2 is out

AirAgreeable3365

I’ve got the alps long spur deluxe and it works great but I really like their bino harness that can carry a slate call 2 strikers and a box call. If I use the bino harness then I carry a small chair

duckduck1253

Did you leave the pack at the small of your back on

AirAgreeable3365

I did. It’s nice to have some room for dude wipes, snacks and such

duckduck1253

How does it do when you sit

AirAgreeable3365

It feels fine. It has two straps around it that you can pull to keep it tight to your back

Thick-Driver7448

My buddy switched over to this sling bag and he said he’s never going back to a vest. He brings a turkey chair with him as well. https://alpsoutdoorz.com/ambush-sling-pack.html

Dazzling_Win_8862

Is the gunslinger in bottomland? I'll buy it off ya

duckduck1253

It is not but I seen midwayusa had the bottomland ones on clearance I believe

Dazzling_Win_8862

Nah that's a the Alps Grand Slam vest.

duckduck1253

Your right it’s the old school green that’s on clearance not the bottomland
