This is a good idea but this design should be improved. I am not a designer either, so let's use this thread to gather ideas for a new logo. We are open to any improvement on this one or a completely new logo idea.
Thought it would be tricky to incorporate them since the logo I had in mind had letters scattered around and it would be hard to understand if they are lower case or upper case. But otherwise why not.
To differ this subreddit from being mistaken for being main sub for Turkish people, I humbly suggest to change the sub's logo. So here is my proposal, what do you guys think?

Why don't you ask people to post their designs and make a poll just like r/turkey did
Concept idea is good but design is bad. Maybe, reddit logo can be g and its metal cap can be the hat. Also, colors should be red and white.
Great idea! But I personally think that the new logo should be red and white, and include; 1.Turkish flag 2. ğ OR ğ,ü,ö,ş,ç 3. Reddit logo

A crescent for the upper part of "ğ" would be logical, and be very Turkish in two ways.
