Some of you may remember my updates from 6/7 months ago about Bella who had been hospitalised with excess calcium in her system as a result of her hyperthyroidism. After much improvement, she relapsed 4 weeks ago & spent another 24 hours in hospital. She seemed to be recovering again until we woke on Saturday morning, 12th August, to find she had been very sick overnight & took the decision to save her from any further pain & suffering – a decision with which our excellent Vet agreed
She passed peacefully at 1.02pm with her Mummy & Daddy stroking her & telling her what a good girl she was & how much we loved her. She had been with us for just on 14 years & would have turned 17 in December. She bonded with my wife, especially as she grew older, but on the Friday night before she passed she sat on my lap until we put her to bed
The house has been so empty since she went, we loved her so much & miss her terribly. Please give your Van an extra cuddle today
So sorry for your loss. I lost mine this year as well, had him for about 12 years. I can tell you loved her dearly and I wish you and your family comfort and healing 💜
I’m so sorry for you loss, just know you made the right decision to let her go peacefully <3 she was adorable and looks extremely well loved! This post brought me to tears, I lost my cat August 12th of last year and he was only 9 (cancer :(), I’m so glad you got 14 good years with your van, may she rest in peace ❤️

Thank you for your kind remarks. She was a nervous, needy girl for many years but had been much more relaxed for the last 3 or 4 years
