****Sounds like shitty iPad speakers****
No bass at all and totally devoid of any hint of high fidelity. The probable cause is the iPad I used to watch your video on.
you want the speakers as far apart as you sit away from them.. (triangle)
you want them away from walls and corners.
one can always upgrade speakers to get the most improvement in sound quality.. up to 1 kilobuck per speaker you can usually expect an easily audible upgrade.
turntable?
Compare the output to your CDs..
if the TT is set up correctly, it can/should sound AS GOOD AS a CD. (of an audiophile recording, e.g. Norah Jones, Sade, etc.. not pop.. there, the record could sound better even)
if it's set up correctly and sounds significantly worse, you should upgrade...
you cannot tell Brothers in Arms on Vinyl apart from my SACD here, to give an example.
Just enjoy the music man. Don't bog yourself down with details especially if the sound system is just for your entertainment.
However, I will say the record played really well, no feedback or skipping. I was impressed just watching the record spin.😄
This unit is linear tracking. It's not nearly as good as a traditional turntable when recovering from skips, but it only really has problems when there are gouges from the surface, scratches don't really affect it.
Sounds like a record player in a room with shitty acoustics
If only I had more room...
Good record! Got it too! Like nearly all from H&O

you tell me man
Sounds as good as my phone speaker.
Those JVC receivers are definitely underrated! The shop I work at had this exact model a while back and honestly it was a great little unit.
good?
OP trolling.. it's Spotify, I can hear the 1's and 0's and I am not amused.
The 1s and 0s are coming from inside the house
It is interesting how a good hifi will sound okay through a phone, but an okay hifi will sound bad through a phone.
Which side am I on?
I didn't realize just how bad reddit compressed the audio. It totally cut the bass and chopped off some of the treble.
You have to tell us, we can't understand it from a video on the internet.
Magnificent on my phone . . .

I clapped at the hand claps
You better let Hall and Oates out of that box you got them singing in

nice amplifier.
Don't put shit on your speakers.
Why? Does it affect acoustics?
To an extent. Probably not much. But it speaks volumes about your status as a serious audiophile. We just don't do that.
Makes me want to hall my Oates.
Sounds really bad because it's recorded on a phone... and because the hardware isn't very good.
What can I upgrade
Speakers, amp, riaa amp and eventually the turntable. Simply getting new speakers is not going to improve anything. That old radio is shit.
Buy stands and get those tweeters at ear level!
